The preparations for the Exploding Pagers, that have killed 12, and wounded 4000, more than 200 of them seriously, apparently took months. More on how the Mossad did it can be found here: “Cyber expert: Preparation for Hezbollah beeper explosions likely took months,” by Dr. Itay Gul, Jerusalem Post, September
The mysterious pager explosions on Tuesday that wounded more than 3,600 people in Lebanon, mostly Hezbollah terrorists, were the result of extensive planning, according to an Israeli cyber expert. The operation involved embedding components within the beepers that could translate signals into ignition and detonation, he said.
“In the world of cyber, there’s a concept known as the supply chain,” said Oleg Brodt, director of research, development, and innovation at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev’s Cyber Labs.
“Many attacks occur by compromising the supply chain,” he told Maariv. “An electronic device, like a beeper, contains numerous components, and each one could be infected with malware. This malware could be designed to raise the device’s temperature, cause a malfunction, ignite it, or even trigger an explosion.”…
So many different components, from how many different companies, did each of these pagers contain? At what point, and by whom, was that malware introduced? It will be hellishly difficult for Hezbollah to figure out which component, or components, in all those pagers that now lie blown to smithereens, was the one that the Mossad had tampered with, and into which it had introduced its malware. Which plants manufacturing each of these components had a Mossad agent on its assembly line? And if there are some pagers still intact, how will Hezbollah manage to open them so as to study their components without Mossad setting off those pagers’ explosive contents? The Mossad has made things hellishly difficult for Hassan Nasrallah’s technology department. There is no agency on earth quite like it.

Perhaps Islamic terrorists will have to give up all modern devices, not just communication instruments, lest the Israelis booby-trap everything for Mo’s dead-enders. In effect, such people will have to live in a kind of stone age but of course they already do in a spiritual sense.
Long live Israel, the only beacon of light in a very dark corner of the world. Damn, Israel is so resilient and so impressive. And this too: Anyone who is anti-Israel has a broken moral compass—no exceptions.

Sounds good to me, Wellington. After all, Bi’da–innovation–is Haram.

It is stupid telling how they did it. Now the terrorists can reverse engineer it and use it agaisnt Israel’s eladership

I agree w/ you, though not for that reason. As Daniel Greenfield’s 4:30pm report shows, the US was the one who leaked the details
Israel should do all its Intel operations alone, and not assume that the US – definitely not the current regime – is its ally
Kerry says
For any of then to still be carrying around their pagers, it just proves how stupid they really are!

Apologies for changing the subject and referring to the Daily Mail but this story is worth knowing.
Ehsan Hussain, or ‘Chris Nolan’ as he also went by, kind of a false flag merchant given he tried to play up the ever present risk of the supposed ‘far right’ in the UK.
There’s more to it than that but just shows how devious they are.

Additional – could Israel please send this guy and his like a free laptop. phone, pager or walkie talkie.
Wellington says
England Invaded: Various federal agencies here in America, led by the FBI, also continue to peddle the rubbish that the “Far Right” is the major menace while ignoring the two major menaces, i.e., Islam and Leftism.
So much of the West right now, whether in government, the media, academia, or even by Big Business and Big Tech, is led by highly compromised people in the moral intelligence and common sense categories. Put another way, the West has entered its dumbest age ever.
England Invaded says
They now consider just about anyone ‘far right’ in Europe and of course I do follow what goes on in the USA.
If anyone is genuinely far right, most have been turned that way as a reaction to their persecution.

Thanks for that link, England Invaded.

What effing morons these people quoted in the article are. They give the methodology. They give the company who Hezbollah will know gave Israel access to the cell phones. Yes, Hezie will know all of the above, but why make parts of it easy for them to find out? Just so these egoistic schmucks can get their name in an article?

And next … Will heads explode?
This looks a trend.
Dummies for Palestine should get rid of their nose rings.

Could the CCP do something like this to our cell phones?

After the IDF totally decimates Hamas and Hezbollah, could the United States hire Mossad to help shut down our Southern border?
somehistory says
Perhaps, James, they can do more than decimate their enemies (and ours), and then find a way to help Americans who are being overwhelmed by the hordes of illegals….a great percentage of whom…are terrorists.
The planes are flying them in again….didn’t take long to discover they didn’t care about the fraud connected with the flights. They can’t wait for people who actually would be accepted by the once-used method of applications to come here

somehistory,
Thank you for your very informed reply.

aoc is complaining and demanding an investigation, Israel could just tell her MYOB.
Israel is at war. This kind of thing is allowed. What government, what army has ever refrained from using whatever they could to win?
vega says
somehistory, seems to me that this is just about the ultimate targeting of individuals ‘of concern’ while seeking to keep collateral damage to an absolute minimum. AOC should be praising their concern and efforts to only harm targets. In the videos I saw even close bystanders were only subject to the noise and potential minor injury from debris. Lets hope the survivors realize that they can’t hide and smarten up before their number is up! Not holding my breath on that one though, let the telecom contract terminations continue!

Supply chains are not unique to the “world of cyber”: it’s a part of the standard electronics manufacturing process for decades, even before cyber-security became as hot as it is today. For instance, some components would be sourced from, say, Taiwan, some from Philippines, some from Korea, some from Japan, et al. At the end of the flow, it would all be assembled together and then shipped to retail stores or to end customers. Incidentally, a major reason it’s this insane is those consulting companies encouraging manufacturers to “streamline” their processes for maximum efficiencies by assigning all of various processes to one or two plants or test sites
Maybe Hizbullah could try and get the Chicoms to do an all-China made process, and then ship it to them, either directly or via Iran. If they don’t wanna track down where in the manufacturing stage the explosives were introduced
Jerome from Layton says
“Supply Chain” has been a major headache for us for a long time. For Hez’, it’s now a butt ache.
