Several years ago, Hillel Frisch wrote a perceptive and funny piece on the lies the Palestinians tell themselves, and others, and how the tolerance for this sort of thing is wearing thin, especially in the Arab states. His piece is enduringly relevant, and can be found here.
The Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels unfortunately proved to the world that it is possible to lie in several contradictory directions at once. For example, you can claim that Jews are both innately capitalist and innately communist, two conflicting vilifications that facilitated the Holocaust. Of course, some Jews were capitalists and some were communists, but this was also true of almost everyone else.
One would like to believe that educated and decent citizens of the world would reject the authenticity of lies that contradict one another. But do they? The claims made by the Palestinian Authority, Hamas and the many media sites they support and spawn, mostly with the help of the European Union (which should know better), put these decent citizens to the test.
Officials in the Palestinian Authority and members of the BDS movement frequently accuse Israel of ethnic cleansing. At the same time, in Arabic, they boast of the power of the Palestinian womb to overcome Israel in the long term. The second statement irrefutably contradicts the first.
True, the Palestinians have a high population growth rate that exposes the lie of the claim of ethnic cleansing, but their fertility—as is true elsewhere in the Arab world—is rapidly falling, especially in Judea and Samaria.
There has been no “ethnic cleansing” of the Palestinians by Israel, neither before October 7, 2023 or after that date. Their numbers are still increasing in Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank, though the rate of that increase has been going down for a reason that has nothing to do with Israeli policy. As with other Arab populations in the Middle East and North Africa, the fertility rate is going down as Arab families move from the country to the city. In the country, children have immediate value as farm workers. In cities, children cannot so readily be employed, and more often represent an extra expense to the family, given the need for bigger dwellings, payments for better — i.e., private — schooling, and for higher education, and the cost of medical care, beyond the minimum paid for by the state. That, and the much greater access to inexpensive contraception and family planning clinics, have contributed to lowering the Arab – and Palestinian – fertility rates.
The Palestinians’ pattern of lying in opposite directions is illustrated by the invocation of the most ubiquitous term used to describe Israel’s relationship to its historic homeland: “occupation.” The mere mention of the Gaza Strip will almost immediately prompt a reference to Israel’s “occupation,” despite the incontrovertible fact that Israel relinquished control of the Strip’s Palestinian population in Gaza and withdrew from it, down to the last Jewish man, woman and child, in 2005.
It is not only the fact that Israel has been out of Gaza since 2005 that makes the term “occupation” inapplicable to Gaza. The term is similarly inapplicable to the West Bank, where half a million Israelis now live, because – what Hillel Frisch does not mention – the territory from the Jordan River in the east to the Mediterranean in the west, and from the Golan in the north to the Red Sea in the south, was long ago assigned by the League of Nations to the Mandate for Palestine, to constitute the future Jewish National Home, which would eventually become the Jewish state — what has been known since 1948 as the State of Israel. It is the history of the Jews in the Land of Israel, where Judaism was created, where the Jewish people were born, and where Jews lived uninterruptedly for 3500 years, that gave today’s Jews the moral and historic claim to that land. The legal claim comes from the Mandate for Palestine itself.
Yet even as Israel is mysteriously continuing its virtual “occupation” of Gaza, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and their respective military wings hold an annual celebration at this time of year to commemorate the liberation of Gaza from Israel, which they classify as a first step toward the complete “liberation” of Palestine “from the river to the sea”—that is, the destruction of Israel. Gaza is thus simultaneously occupied and liberated. A remarkable feat.
Yes, for the Palestinians, Gaza is simultaneously both “liberated” – as of 2005 – and also still “occupied.” As Frisch says, it’s quite a feat, but not beyond the self-contradicting mindset of the Palestinians.

The Hadith makes it clear that Muslims are allowed to lie to unbelievers in order to defeat them or protect themselves. There are several forms:
Taqiyya – Saying something that isn’t true as it relates to Muslim identity (i.e whether one is a Muslim or what that means). This is a Shiite term: the Sunni counterpart is Muda’rat.
Kitman – Lying by omission. An example would be when Muslim apologists quote only a fragment of verse 5:32 (that if anyone kills “it shall be as if he had killed all mankind”) while neglecting to mention that the rest of the verse (and the next) mandate murder in undefined cases of “corruption” and “mischief.”
Tawriya – Intentionally creating a false impression by saying something that is technically true, when knowing that the listener will interpret it in a different way. This practice has a broader application than taqiyya.
Muruna – ‘Blending in’ by setting aside some practices of Islam or Sharia in order to advance others.
Though not called taqiyya by name, Muhammad clearly used deception when he signed a 10-year treaty with the Meccans (known as Hudaibiya) which allowed him access to their city while he secretly prepared his own forces for a takeover. The unsuspecting residents were easily conquered when he broke the treaty two years later. Some of the people in the city who had trusted him at his word were executed.

Actually the border to Western Palestine was further east than the Jordan river as the northern portion of western Palestine was up to at least the Litani river. The Mandate followed the Biblical writing that of course the .Muslim Arab could never accept.

If you teach vary young children to hate, love or distrust certain people or races thats what they grow up believing. First, it’s an outright lie that there are is such a things a “Palestinian people.” Those so called “Palestinians” are Arabs. Likewise, the “Palestine flag” is a bogus flag.
Second, history reveals the people who came from the Greek Islands and some parts of the mainland Greece. They have no connection, at all, the to the Arab /Muslim of modern times who called themselves the “Palestinians.”
From those ancient people, the Philistines, the word “Palestine” .came into being.
There is no genuine ethic group or race who are the “Palestinians.”
Early in the last century a anyone living in that land, Arab or Jew, who lived in that land was called a ”Palestinian.”
Only after 1964 did the Arab/Muslims start to refer to themselves , exclusively , by the word “Palestinian.”
The reason for that is that they felt that by giving themselves that title they would appear to have some kind of valid claim on that land.
Indeed, there never was a “Palestinian state.”
