These statements have sparked a massive backlash, with many accusing Maulana Masood of committing blasphemy, a crime punishable by death under Pakistan’s stringent blasphemy laws. The scholar, who previously held a hardline stance on blasphemy, had consistently preached that any insult to the Prophet or the Quran warranted immediate punishment, advocating for executions without court trials.
In an ironic twist, as Maulana Masood now faces the same accusations he once condemned others for, his stance on forgiveness appears to have softened. In a series of videos posted online, he has appealed for understanding and forgiveness, explaining that his words were taken out of context. He has also outlined the three methods of seeking forgiveness in Islam, insisting that he has sincerely repented and should be forgiven for any offence caused….

Good point, no pun intended. Also, in ancient Greece, the guy who invented the horrific “Brazen Bull” method of execution was apparently the first person to be sentenced to die by it.

The Maulana has good points in his arguments provided that Muhammad could not read or write. Those who wrote down Quran verses could be wrong. Thus Uthman burnt all Qurans then, leaving only the new created one. However, hadith says Muhammad could read (and write).
As a conclusion, Islam is created on lies on top of many levels of lies. From the start of Islam lies were made, and now, they arestill lying to protect Islam.

Yeah, this story is hilarious. One would have thought that someone who supports the beheading of blasphemers would be more mindful of what he said about the real deity in islam
That said, I heard Robert’s tongue-in-cheek offer to him some hours ago to shelter him on condition that he wouldn’t be killed for blasphemy, but disagree. I do hope that the blasphemy bounty hunters in Pakistan have a field day lynching him, given what he had said in the past about Nupur Sharma (he was one of the original people to call for her beheading, and when it snowballed in India, she had to go into hiding)
