The key issues that the Dutch government presented in its request to opt out of the EU’s suicidal immigration policies are:
- the impossibly high costs of mass migration to the country, which will sink its economy; and
- the fact that the country wants to preserve its autonomy and to protect its sovereignty.
These are sound reasons (along with protecting national security) that should be core concerns of any responsible government.
Geert Wilders’ reference of the immigration opt-out as a “mini-Nexit” may well be an indicator of where the Netherlands might be headed, i.e., a possible full withdrawal from the European Union.
Note how the Associated Press and other activist mainstream media outlets routinely reference commonsense government and leaders as “far right” and “hard right.”
A populist movement has been growing in the EU in the face of the ongoing invasion of unvetted migrants, mainly from Africa and the Middle East.
In 2023, EU lawmakers gave the “green light” on reforms endorsing “new rules seeking to speed up the return of migrants who entered Europe without permission and to prevent these migrants from traveling to other countries within the EU.” But the plan really amounted to nothing more than shifting migrants around throughout the EU, under the direction of the European Commission. It was merely a repackaging of the disastrous UN Migration Pact, which asserts that “no state can address migration alone, and uphold the sovereignty of states and their obligations under international law.” In other words: open borders under a one world [Marxist] government are the EU’s policy, and no state is allowed to deviate.
The EU and other globalists are in a process of destroying once thriving free societies, and have embraced Marxism.
The opposition of the Dutch government to the Marxist leaders of the EU will inevitably lead to a showdown. Let’s hope that the people of the EU stop the advance of Marxism in Europe (and North America) and preserve the foundations of free societies.
“Dutch government led by hard right asks for formal opt-out from EU migration rules,” by Molly Quell and Raf Casert, AP, September 18, 2024:
THE HAGUE (AP) — The new Dutch government dominated by the far-right party of Geert Wilders officially asked the European Union for an exemption from its migration obligations on Wednesday, setting up a confrontation over one of the most explosive issues facing the bloc at a time when support for anti-immigration parties in Europe is rising.
Dutch Migration Minister Marjolein Faber of Wilders’ party wrote to the European Commission that the Netherlands wants out of regulations for accepting refugees, claiming that otherwise one of the wealthiest countries in the world would struggle to provide public services.
“I have just informed the EU Commission that I want a migration opt-out within Europe for the Netherlands. We need to be in charge of our own asylum policy again!” Faber said.
Faber was seeking to fulfill a campaign promise to quickly and drastically reduce the number of immigrants in the nation…..

The Netherlands should have never agreed to the forming of the EU,

When you must ask permission, you’re not independent.
The EU is simply one of several mega building blocks on the road to world government. Others include NAFTA now USMCA, the African Union, South East Asia’s economic union, ASEAN, among others.

Every country should drop out ,why should unelected people outside a country be rulers dumping millions of unvetted ,uneducated ,unskilled people to the determent of citizens of a country. Overwhelming the schools ,the hospitals ,the police departments ,courts ,,the welfare systems , employment ,the tax base , general increase in lawlessness ,crime ,drug dealing ,mayhem ,violence ., Every major problem in western Europe has uncontrol immigration as its source at this time in history. At this time Hungry and Poland (Eastern European countries run by democratically elected people ) do not have these major problems. Granted no country is problem free or perfect but uncontrol immigration is at this time a bigger threat then Russia or China to the western world in my humble opinion.

“Dozens of North African migrants jump off boat on Costa del Sol beach”
“Although it was widely estimated around 40 migrants had disembarked from the boat that reached Nerja yesterday, the region’s hard-right party VOX claimed the number had been more than 100 and said they had arrived on two boats
It said in a rabble-rousing tweet on its official account on X late yesterday, criticising Spain’s right-wing Popular Party as well as the governing left-wing PSOE party: ‘Two boats full of illegal immigrants (more than 100) have reached Nerja today.
‘Look at how calmly they’re invading our country. They know they won’t be expelled.
‘This is what the what the PP and PSOE have provoked with their policies.'”

Will Netherlands also opt out of the EHRC, which puts imagined “human rights” constraints on members, disabling them from blocking “migrants” or turning them back at sea? They need to do this for this exit to have any teeth
