Time is way overdue for America to pull out of the UN (and as a bonus to tell the UN to find another headquarters, for instance in Tehran, Pyongyang, Moscow, Beijing, Havana or Caracas or wherever representatives of authoritative states for decades now have come from in order to lecture representatives from free states on what they’re dong wrong).

Sadly agree, Wellington. When I was a child I was so proud that the UN had been founded in my city, San Francisco. I thought the UN would eventually bring peace to the world–I didn’t realize then that a body largely made up of unfree states will never do this.

My parents brought the family to New York City three times in 1964/65 to see the New York World’s Fair. Definitely a highlight of my childhood.
On one side trip, we visited the UN headquarters. I was very impressed and felt that the world would be safe because “very important and intelligent people” were keeping a “close eye on things”.
Boy, as a young lad, was I ever naïve.

The funny thing is that the UN diplomats won’t wanna go to Tehran, Pyongyang, Moscow, Beijing, Havana or Caracas. They’ll want one of those beautiful cities in Europe – Geneva, Brussels, Vienna, Strasbourg, Paris, London, et al. Whose governments aren’t that different from the ones in Beijing, Havana or Caracas (although they are different from the ones in Tehran or Pyongyang)

The un is a collection of countries where many of those countries are diametrically opposed to each other. The un also has a number of member countries that cannot manage their own affairs. We see a tidal wave of migration from failed un member countries to Western countries. So yes, what in the hell do Western countries need the un for? The name, United Nations, is an example of complete and total BS. United Nations, oh man.

Yes, by all means let Switzerland provide the security for the diplomats who dont represent us. They cannot move their headquarters to places in much of the world because of security concerns. In those places they or their family members might be kidnapped, held for ransom, murdered after the fact, for very little. They all know they have to stay here for their own safety and security.

I am pretty sure that Transnistria is a more fully functional state than “Palestine” is, despite being much smaller (1,600 sq miles vs 2,300 sq miles for “Palestine”). Their only issue is that since they are aligned to Moscow, the “international community” doesn’t want to give them the recognition that they’d give to “Palestine”

Any kind of a “two state solution” is out of the question. .This is because a “two state solution” not really a “solution” but an Islamic ploy of deception , a smokescreen and hoax and a fraud.

My comment has to do with the fact that:1) Gaza was an opportunity for a State if that was the true aspiration, but it turned into just another base for Jihad; and 2) most of the Arabs living in Jordon that identify as ‘Palestinian’ could be part of the plan of the PA/PLO/Fatah to claim as part of their State. Understand in reality they cannot even control their main city Ramallah. Hamas is the majority of the ‘Palestinian National Assembly’ so in effect the PA is just a charade with very little support from the Arab population. Much as I have been able to determine. More important Israel, which before May 1948 was the Jewish portion of The Mandate for Palestine, is by international law the legal possession of the Jews- Israel, as a Jewish State.
