BERLIN, Sept 9 (Reuters) – Germany’s government announced plans to impose tighter controls at all of the country’s land borders in what it called an attempt to tackle irregular migration and protect the public from threats such as Islamist extremism.
The controls will start on Sept. 16 and initially last for six months, the interior ministry said in a statement on Monday.
They are part of a series of measures Germany has taken to toughen its stance on irregular migration in recent years following a surge in arrivals, in particular people fleeing war and poverty in the Middle East.
Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s government is seeking to seize back the initiative from the opposition far-right and conservatives, who have seen support rise as they tap into voter worries about stretched public services, integration and security.’
“We are strengthening internal security and continuing our hard line against irregular migration,” Interior Minister Nancy Faeser said.
Recent deadly knife attacks in which the suspects were asylum seekers have stoked concerns over immigration. The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for a knife attack in the western city of Solingen that killed three people in August.
The AfD earlier this month became the first far-right party since World War Two to win a state election, in Thuringia, after campaigning heavily on the issue of migration….

Western governments are cowards to have any action to protect their citizens from Muslims who are coming to invade and to spread their devilish religion.

If the western governments are serious, they will deport to Gaza immediately from the street to the airport any who protest to support Hamas same what Egypt do it.

The country that originally pushed for a borderless Europe (talking here about Helmut Kohl when he wanted people from EU countries to travel freely w/o passports, not Angela Merkel opening all of Europe up to muslim hordes) is the one now closing its own borders not to muslim countries but to other European countries
Nonetheless, I hope AfD grows in leaps & bounds & comes to power in Berlin, so that they can start triggering similar successes in Paris, Amsterdam, Vienna, Rome, London, Madrid, Athens, et al

James, after all my studies in anti-terrorism, finding out that nearly every ‘center,’ barracks, etc. in the U.S. had terror materials… Close to 100%… My guess was that the ones which didn’t, were just fresh out.
They are all tied to those considered “militant”. by islam. It’s just that many have been *proven* to have the ties, while the benefit of the doubt is given …by the authorities…to the others; therefore “alleged.”
Regarding the one in the news, they likely also had weapons, as many do. Or perhaps known terrorists were seen going in and out there.
