Democrats have made every effort to turn J6 into their new 9/11.
On the eve of 9/11, Vice President Kamala Harris claimed that January 6 was the “worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.”
The line, dumb as it was, was also a dismissal of September 11.
Even Biden’s disrespectful “Tomorrow, I’m doing 9/11 line” hardly had an impact.
If this wasn’t an election year, Biden would likely be ducking the 9/11 ceremonies in New York the way that he did last year.
It’s another box to check even as the administration panders to Islamic terrorists in Israel, Yemen, and Iraq to name a few places.
Democrats have made every effort to turn J6 into their new 9/11. And the old one, as Kamala demonstrates, is unwelcome.

muir wanted Mr. Trump to say he made mistakes, to admit somehow that it was his fault because he ‘was there.’
Had Mr. Trump organized the rally, incited them to go “into the Capitol” building, etc., then he would be partly to blame for all that happened.
He called on pelosi to let him add troops and she declined. He said ‘be peaceful’…but there was no way he personally could control anyone. pelosi has admitted her part; but muir dismissed that.
The hyena….and she cackled once…kept bringing up lies from the past, and then said Trump was the one focused on the past.
biden appearing at a remembrance really means nothing because it’s all for the show, for the politics. biden couldn’t care less about what happened or about the grief felt by the families. and the hyena is the same…as Trump said, ‘she is biden.’
To them, what happened on this date, is of no importance beyond the politics. What happened on Jan 6 is used the same way….for politics….and not because it was worse than so many other things, but because Mr. Trump was the president and the rally was for him.
If my family member had been killed in the tower, the pentagon or the plane, I wouldn’t want biden or his hyena sidekick to be anywhere near a memorial.
somehistory says
An OT comment about the debate.
the hyena came out and extended her hand, which Mr. Trump shook.
martha raddatz and her gang made much of the fact that ‘she put out her hand **first.**’
Proper etiquette says that the woman must offer her hand *first* and then the man may take it. The man is not supposed to put out his hand before the woman extends hers.
But those who want her to be president so bo can have a fourth term, are wrongly using this to make her seem the better person. Shame on them for all of the things they do which support evil.
gravenimage says
Somehistory, you are quite right that the woman is supposed to extend her hand first–so that she need not feel pressured to shake hands if she prefers not to (this is a safety measure for women). This is not a widely known point of etiquette, but is a good thing to know.
If President Trump *had* extended his hand first, leftist critics probably would have characterized this as an act of aggression.
somehistory says
Thank you, g. And you are right; it’s for safety, not putting pressure to let some strange man she knows nothing about to take her hand, and Mr. Trump would have been criticized if he had offered his hand first.
I’ve had some men do that, and it made me feel uncomfortable.

The more bizarre thing about that than the handshake – which was nice to see given that the Left had been talking about dehumanizing him regularly – was her introducing herself. Everybody, including Trump, knows who she is. Was the idea so that if a double was sent in in her place, that it would lend her credibility?
Her performance reminds me of Algore vs Bush first debate in 2000, when Algore was grunting loudly into the mics, which was very distracting. Here, although the mics were muted, everyone saw Kamala’s snide faces that she made at Trump when he was saying true things. She provided his campaign a lot of material to use for any new ads being released from now on
Westman says
The worst attack on our Representative Democracy since 9/11 was the use of Political Lawfare against Trump which has placed the US in the company of Bananna Republics and Dictators. Now, whichever party is in power, will use it. Government security agencies already spy on all American’s communication. We are truly in the world of Orwell’s 1984.
Frankly, Trump made a poor showing in the debate, instead of emulating the Reagan positive, relaxed style, and not aggressively repeating issues. The most important message should have been that with Khameleon Harris, the American populace would never know who was dictating policy or what shadowy group of unelected people were actually running the government.
Somehow Trump doesn’t realize that the majority of young Americans are hedonistic, rarely taking time to deep dive into policy issues and will be voting on personalities with less insight than electing school prom royalty. Allowing 18 year-olds, having today’s sustained adolescence, to vote in federal elections was a mistake of dire consequences for the Republic. The original justification was, kids who signed up to fight in the Vietnam War and risk dying should have a vote. They won’t sign up anymore for military service in the numbers needed so why don’t we restrict that privilege to the armed forces and go back to 21 yrs for the rest?
Harris can win, and if she does the economy and retirements will be ruined and young people will rarely have their own homes which will go, with government assistance, to immigrants with large familiies. Those young natives who will have homes will mostly have inherited them, unless the government taxes them away.
And of course, 2 prospective wars loom, either of which could keep the Democrat Party in office after becoming a hot reality.
9/11 was missing at the debate – along with unrestricted support of Israel.

Jan 6 was an insurrection simply because of the deliberate actions leading up to it. However it was not the actions of the republicans. Every day more evidence arises that much of the countries judiciary is far beyond corrupt, they are wholly owned politicized pawns. Those are the same judges who threw out the election cheating evidence. The same judges who allowed illegitimate cases against Trump to proceed. This insurrection has been quietly progressing for decades. One appointment at a time.

You’re right. I’ve always thought that rouge judges are the biggest problem in our country. That’s why controlling the Senate is so important.

I have supported Donald Trump since 2016, and will vote for him in 2024.
That said, I will give my assessment of the debate.
The real surprise of this debate is that Kamala Harris is a far, far more convincing and smooth liar than Biden was. Because of that, and because of the all-too-normal piling on of Trump, by the media “moderators”, Harris “won” the debate. To the detriment of this unfortunate country, Trump did not quite have the discipline needed to resist the Harris lies. Harris “won” ( at least in the view of all those dumb-as-dirt American “independents” who will now vote for her), and, I believe, she will win the election.
“Vae victis” as the Romans would say (“woe to the vanquished”). The vanquished, in this case, will be America and its civilization.
Bad times a-coming, or maybe (hopefully) I’m just being Eeyore.
Clearsighted says
I support Trump and will vote for him. But, I was stunned at how badly he performed. Yes, ABC and the moderators were biased. No surprise, there. So, blaming them misses the point. He blew it from the first question. If, after she gave that calculated non-answer to the “are people better off than four years ago” question, all Trump needed to do is look at his watch and say: “Did anyone notice that after a full two minutes of rambling, she never answered the question of whether people are better off today than four years ago? That’s because she can’t. She knows that she has destroyed the economy. Everybody in the country knows that she wrecked the economy. That’s why she dodged the question. How about we insist that she answer the question?” The entire momentum would have shifted and she would have been put on the defensive. A completely different tone would have been set. Instead he took the bait, he became defensive, and never really fully recovered.

I, too, support Pres. Trump.
But your point is valid, Clearsighted

He also captured the scene on camera from 250 miles up, with a chilling image showing a smoke plume rising from the Manhattan area.”

9/11 MIA at Debate
…………………………
This does not surprise, I’m afraid.
I do have to say that Trump told Sean Hannity in his interview following the debate that he would be at the remembrance ceremony at Ground Zero today.

They gather together to mourn the dead every year. Many of the gathers set the table for the success of the 9-11 attacks. The gather to mourn the dead but it is a lie. What they are really saying is thank God it wasn’t us. Now that I know how evil those people are and how much disdain they have for the general public I have a entirely different opinion of 9-11 and who may have been complicit in it to some degree or another. They are the last people that should be gathering at these places. The disgusting pigs.

J6 was definitely the “worst” attack on her [democracy]. Thank GOD we live in a Constitutional Republic. What a twit.
