Hunter Biden asked the U.S. ambassador to Italy for help regarding an energy project a Ukrainian gas company was pursuing while his father was vice president, according to The New York Times.
Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, wrote a letter to the ambassador in 2016 seeking assistance for Burisma, which had been working on a geothermal project in Italy, the newspaper reported, citing newly released records and interviews.
At the time, Hunter Biden sat on the board of Burisma, which was having trouble getting regulatory approval for the project, a businessman involved in the project told the newspaper.
The revelation is likely to fuel Republican criticism of Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings, which have been the center of GOP investigations into the president’s family. The report comes weeks before Hunter Biden is set to stand trial on federal charges alleging he failed to pay taxes on money he received from Burisma and other foreign businesses.
Prosecutors indicated last week in court papers they want to introduce evidence at trial about Hunter Biden’s other business dealings, including an arrangement with a Romanian businessman who was trying to “influence U.S. government policy” during Joe Biden’s term as vice president….
Biden’s lawyer, the highly-skilled Abbe Lowell, is presenting the drug-addiction defense: Hunter was just so brain-addled as a crack cocaine addict that he had no idea what he was doing, so please forgive him whatever he did while under the influence. But of course, the prosecutor will say, he was not so brain-addled that he was unable to come up with a carefully planned scheme to hide many millions of dollars in payments he received from Burisma, and other foreign businesses, over a period of four years. He doesn’t sound all that brain-addled to me. Crazy like a fox is more like it.
If convicted, he’s unlikely, as a first-time offender, to be given a prison term. He has a beautiful wife who was instrumental in getting him to quit his crack cocaine habit. Her loyal presence in the courtroom may help mitigate his punishment. Let’s face it — extreme good looks never hurt. And while his father has said that he would not pardon his son if Hunter were to be convicted of any crime, he made that remark when he was still planning to run for reelection. Now that he has taken himself out of the running, he may feel he has nothing to lose politically to lose by pardoning his son. And even if Joe Biden doesn’t do it, it’s possible that Kamala Harris, should she win the election, might as a grateful gift to her predecessor, pardon Biden’s once-wayward, now on the straight path, and as of now, still to be sentenced, son.

A clip on the Sky news in the UK with someone talking about how British people now in prison for protesting about the invasion, would be getting a welcome from ‘gangs’, meaning muslim scum.

➤ All members of the administration – particularly the bureaucracy – should be probed on who was behind various disastrous decisions, such as opening up the border, the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, all the dealings w/ Iran, particularly the one making Russia the mediator b/w the US and Iran, the Covid tyranny, the instant end to the Keystone pipeline, and several other decisions that led to the meltdown of the US economy
➤ A real probe into January 6th – why did Pelosi and Bowser refuse to request the National Guard, why did police allow visitors into the capitol, and so on. Bottom line – investigate the political motivations for criminalizing those detainees, and go after them hard
➤ Do a DOJ proble into all the Trump investigations that were done bending the law – whether it was extending the statute of limitations, or the attempts to fastrack various trials for the election and so on. Also investigate the weaponization of the previous DOJ, such as jailing people who peacefully protested outside abortion clinics
The next DOJ needs to go after all these w/ the full force of the law

That being said, what would be needed would be MAGA Republican control of the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives.
And, of course, a “Ted Cruz type” AG MAGA Republican lead DOJ – while maintaining a conservative SCOTUS.
With that, something might happen.

That was my only reason to not be thrilled at JD Vance being the VP nominee: he was one of only 3 real America-First Senators – the other two being Josh Hawley & Ron Johnson. A good litmus test on this would be the votes on Ukraine: only these 2 have consistently opposed pouring endless money into that pit. Otherwise every Republican senator has voted for Ukraine aid, no matter what their other differences are w/ the Dems. Had there been, say 30 America-First senators

I know that Joe himself will be incompetent to stand trial, but I didn’t suggest going after him, since we want to still not go after ex-presidents and make permanent the banana republic status. But what I did suggest above is going after everyone around them, particularly those key decision makers (which we know didn’t include Joe or Kamala). Once underlings know that they will be held accountable for decisions like leaving $89B worth of weaponry in Afghanistan, they’ll stop advocating it in future. Once remote control operators know that they’ll be held accountable for decisions they drove a government to take, they too will be in fear of their hides
