Michigan: Islamic scholar complains that FBI will show up if he says Hizballah is ‘very good thing’

This is likely not even true anymore, if it ever was. Today’s FBI is more likely to show up at his house to give him a medal and invite him to address the local agents about “Islamophobia.”

Anyway, note also that this is not an “extremist” statement. There is much greater support for Hamas and Hizballah among Muslims in the U.S. than most people realize — after all, where do we see Muslim protests against or even mild denunciations of either group? Yet all through the first two decades of this century, mosques were built all over the country. Anyone who protested and suggested that the mosques might not end up being “moderate” was denounced as “racist” and “Islamophobic,” and shunned and dismissed accordingly. And so now we have mosque preachers openly praising a group that the State Department still classifies as a terror group, and no one bats an eye.

During a Dearborn Heights Shi’ite series of ceremonies at the Islamic House of Wisdom on July 8-9, 2024, Islamic scholar Hussain Al-Nashed praised the Islamic Republic of Iran and Hizbullah. He said that until the Islamic Revolution, the status of Shi’ites was low in the Middle East countries heavily populated with Shi’ites. Al-Nashed said: “It is only with the Islamic Revolution that our lot has changed.” He said that in America there is no freedom of thought and that it is forbidden to say that Hizbullah is a very good thing. The ceremonies were streamed live on the Facebook page of the Islamic House of Wisdom.

Hussain Al-Nashed: “If you look back at the history of Lebanon, and you look at the history of Iran, and you look at the history of Damascus, Syria, specifically the Shia regions, and you look at the history of Iraq… And you don’t need to go too far. You just have got to go back 180 years. That’s what you go to. Just go 180 years. And you will find that even till then, not even 180 years… 40 years ago is when Ayatollah Khomeini came. That was kind of the last… The Shias were living the most despicable life. We were the shanty towns.

“It was only with the Islamic Revolution that our lot has changed. And I know that some people are not pro-Islamic Revolution. You don’t have to be. But at the same time, don’t be so disrespectful to the one who taught you dignity. Don’t be disrespectful to the one who wanted you and honored your religion and gave you feet to stand on.

“There are a lot of governments in the world that will let you be free in everything except when you say that the government is being oppressive. Then you are an enemy of the state. In the United States, I can [have] freedom of thought. I’ve got the freedom of speech to say what they allow me to say. But if I want to think for myself and I look objectively at what is going on in Gaza and I say, ‘You know what, Hizbullah is actually not bad. Hizbullah is a very good thing.’ Next thing I know, FBI is at my doorstep [saying] ‘Let’s go’. Is that freedom of thought? Am I free in this country to think what I want to think? No. I am free to say what they will let me say.”

  2. “Freedom of thought” and “Freedom of Speech” are not the same thing. But mozlum “scholars” don’t know anything except their book of demon filth. they understand very little about Americans, or the Constitution, although their “lawyers” use it to gain more and more power.

    One is free to think anything their brain can process to some degree.
    One is in a crowded theater and thinks, “I could yell fire.” As long as he doesn’t express the thought, it’s okay to think it.
    mozlums can *believe* or *think* that hezbollah, hamas, the mozlum brotherhood, cair or iran’s mullahs should be in control of the U.S. government. All of them are free to have “thoughts” of murdering their neighbor or their local mayor. And probably many of them do.
    But, they might find that expressing those “thoughts” into “speech” is not the same regarding their “freedom” to do so..

    Since he brought it up, the FBI agents should be knocking on his door and escorting him down to their offices for a “sit down” interview. He should be watched and investigated.
    If he doesn’t like the “freedoms” here, he is also “free to leave.”

  13. I must ask Hussain Al Nashed, when was the last time the FBI showed up at his doorstep hauled him and questioned him about verbal support for Hezbollah? (By the Hezbollah is not in Gaza. They are in Lebanon!)
    If you were hauled off by the FBI what is it that you’re not sharing with us about yourself. What allegations did the FBI make against you?

  14. If you make threats to kill Americans or support groups that are killing Americans the FBI should be talking to you or investigating you.

    I sincerely hope that law enforcement are following and keeping track of mosques and individuals that threaten too harm our citizens and country.
