India: Minor Muslim boy stabs Dalit Hindu classmate to death

Yet another Hindu minor loses his life to Islamic jihad violence in India, and no one bats an eye. The accused, this time, is not a frenzied Muslim mob, but a Muslim classmate of the Hindu minor; the accused, too, is a minor, which again brings to the fore the problematic upbringing of children in many Muslim households, and exposes, yet again, that violence is wired into the psyche of these children from early years. Taking someone’s life, for them, is easier done than said.

The unfortunate incident took place at a government school in Udaipur on August 16. It was a Friday, a religiously significant day of the week in Islam. The attacker, a tenth grader, stabbed his Hindu classmate, injuring him fatally. The victim was rushed to the hospital, but the stabbing had caused complications in the victim’s kidney, for which expert doctors were called in. Despite all efforts, the boy lost his life after days of struggle. The victim, named Devraj Mochi, belonged to a Dalit family. The Dalits form a marginalized part of the Hindu community, and they act as fodder to almost all “secular” political parties and NGOs that base their politics on hatred of Hindus or the anti-Hindu narrative, and on being ostensibly in favor of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, which are among the most disadvantaged groups in India. But it was a surprise for no one when none of these organizations stood up for this minor Hindu victim. Why? Because the secular coterie in India panders to its Islamic voting bloc to a shameless extent, and shies away from condemning the perpetrator when a Muslim commits a crime.

With the death of this Hindu minor, communal tension in the city flared up and quickly spiraled out of control. Mobs took to the streets, set vehicles on fire, threw stones, and led to a massive law and order situation. City administration was compelled to shut down all schools and colleges in Udaipur to ensure the safety of the pupils. “The Internet has been shut down in parts as a precautionary measure,” said District Collector Arvind Poswal.

As the investigation progressed, officials learned that the accused and his father were living in a house that was illegally constructed, and the house was razed after being vacated.

It is still unknown what exactly instigated the Muslim minor to stab his classmate at the government school, which is located at Bhattiyani Chohatta. How could an argument between two classmates lead to one launching a fatal attack on the other? This is beyond anyone’s imagination. Where did the accused get the weapon? One doesn’t find sharp objects lying within the school premises. Is a minor capable of planning such a cold-blooded murder?

The unfortunate death of the Dalit Hindu boy has left Hindu parents with a plethora of questions and uncertainty about their wards’ safety in the public schools.

Though the accused has been apprehended by police, this doesn’t promise any justice to the Hindu family that has lost a child at the hands of a Muslim classmate. In India, the maximum penalty for minors is only three years of detention, and children from Muslim backgrounds often take advantage of this legal loophole.

Instances of jihad-minded minors exposing their disturbing upbringings are plentiful across India, be it a six-year-old Muslim child declaring that he will assassinate the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, at a hospital in Indore, or several of them descending on the streets of Kolkata to partake in an anti-US rally, demanding the massacre of those of “insult Islam,” or throwing stones at Hindus or government officials. Their crimes have always been beyond their years.

In April of this year, a minor Muslim boy, along with his two accomplices, killed a 35-year-old Hindu woman in the Jahangir Puri area of Delhi.

Reports suggest that the accused regularly stalked the victim’s minor daughter on her way to school. The girl had informed her family and filed a police complaint, but the police failed to take any strict action against the minor harasser. The family was forced to send their daughter to a hostel.

On the day of the crime, the minor Muslim boy went to the victim’s house and asked the mother of the girl to reveal the daughter’s whereabouts. When the woman refused to entertain this demand, he shot her and fled the scene. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival. It was April 26, a Friday.
