New in PJ Media:
Hey, Tim Walz isn’t so bad. In an age when leftists compete with one another in how much they can repudiate and mock traditional values, it is surprising and refreshing to discover that the Democrats’ shiny new vice-presidential candidate, America’s dad, is a regular churchgoer. Walz’s Christian piety, however, is not exactly the sort of thing that would put you in mind of Augustine, Aquinas, Martin Luther, Mother Theresa, or any other prominent Christian you’d care to name. In fact, it’s just the sort of thing you’d expect: the far left at prayer.
The Daily Caller reported Wednesday that Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz attends a church, all right, but you will not be surprised to learn that it’s not exactly a bastion of Christianity as it has been known up until these enlightened days. Walz attends Pilgrim Lutheran Church in St. Paul, Minn., where the worship is as woke as it can be. If it weren’t for the folks walking around in robes and the occasional prayers, Walz might sometimes get confused and think that he is at a Democrat party meeting, for Pilgrim Lutheran is little more than the Democrat platform in ecclesiastical trappings.
Pilgrim Lutheran’s stances on everything are tediously predictable, and 100% in line with the latest far-left wisdom. The Caller notes that “materials published by Pilgrim Lutheran Church instruct parishioners not to refer to God using male pronouns, push congregants to support reparation funds, encourage them to celebrate Ramadan and include a modified gender-neutral version of the Lord’s Prayer, among other liberal practices.” Of course. Anything else would be racist, bigoted, sexist, and “Islamophobic.” Pilgrim Lutheran’s leadership would no doubt rather be burned at the stake rather than be accused of any of those beyond-mortal sins.
Walz’s church is, of course, not singular to his corner of the Minnesota Soviet Socialist Republic. Woke churches have spread all over our fair land, and are full of the blue-haired, gender-confused, and heavily tattooed whenever they feel the need to give the appearance that God or Gaia or Almighty Whoever heartily approves of their activities.
Pilgrim Lutheran itself is an outpost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), which ditched traditional Protestant Christianity quite some time ago in order to chase after the left’s latest cultural fads and imbue them with a patina of sanctity. And so it is no surprise once again that the ELCA not only has female bishops but lesbian bishops, as well as female bishops who are really men but have demanded that everyone around them pretend that they’re women.
There is more. Read the rest here.

Left a church that was woke because they’re inclusive of only those who do not believe.

It appears to be the “hold of every unclean and hateful bird” (Rev. 18:2).
Among them is a kind of [mis-]educated American provinciality, seeing how they wish to avoid male pronouns when speaking of God. It never ceases to amaze me how little the feminists and alphabet-soup gestapo are ignorant and unaware of how languages work.
When I was a teen, a lady teacher (of whom no-one will speak ill in my presence) explained the inclusive or neutral “he” and “him” in pronoun agreement: If someone is in trouble, help him; if people are in trouble, help them. Instead of protesting about being gelded by gyno-centric grammar, my younger self was a sucker for kindly and encouraging authority, lived, and learned. Lo and behold! There was that German Jewish family in which the girl was neuter (das Maedchen) and a turnip feminine (die Rabe); and when they prayed, it was in a language that made “fathers” feminine in the plural (Avot rather than Avim). And how many other Indo-European or Semitic languages have such features!
Then, I learned Chinese (including Classical!) and found out that it doesn’t gender nouns or pronouns (at least, nor before 1919, and after that, only in written form), yet its speakers are the biggest bunch of male chauvinists on God’s green earth.
God knew what he was doing when he chose to reveal his Word in Semitic and Hellenic idiom.
And, let me guess: Pilgrim Lutheran has about a dozen regular attenders total, all over 60 (save for the young, dynamic, transracial, transexual pastorette.

Actually I was expecting to hear that he was in a Universalist-Unitarian outfit which really is more like the a progressive college faculty group at prayer.

I call them npr churches. Nothing about Jesus, everything about saint George Floyd, the Sodom and Gomorrah wing of the communist party, and the drug addled homeless crowd

For me, this is so incredibly stupid. First of all, why have a “church” or a “religion” in which anything goes?
People, normal people, recognize that a parent has a measure of authority over his/her child. The parent in responsible for communicating what is expected of the child and what reward/punishment will be given for obeying disobeying the rules set out. Not many question this arrangement as being unfair to the kids. They need guidance and structure. Most children are not allowed to set their own rules of behavior.
Those same people recognize that teachers/schools, bosses/employers, military officers and governments have authority over persons under their supervision and control. People may not like being told what is acceptable, being expected to obey rules, protocol, and laws, but they usually go along through their lives obeying and following.
Then it comes to God. Many of those same people don’t want to recognize that God has authority; sets rules, Laws, commands and will reward/punish those who claim to obey; rewards for those who do, punishment for those who refuse.
These people like walz and his ‘church’ have no real concept of God and His requirements. They prefer to set their own rules and protocols and ignore what the Bible says. But they still want the *blessings* that are promised.
Jesus foretold what He will say to them in Matthew, calling them “workers of lawlessness” and telling them that He “never knew” them, saying to them, “Get away from me.”
They don’t know Jesus or His Father.
There will be no reward for these fools. They will be told by Christ, ” I never knew you. Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness.”

I never was a Lutheran, but they became apostates when they allowed women(and most of them are lesbians defying God’s word blatantly) to be pastors. Nothing against women, but according to Paul, they should not be pastors.
somehistory says
Jesus gave great privileges to women…a woman was the one to whom He said that He was the One promised; a woman was the one to whom He showed His resurrected self; a woman was healed just by touching His clothing; He explained to the two sisters of Lazarus about the Resurrection…for a few examples.
Women can ‘preach the good news,’ but they do not have the authority of men in the “Congregation.” And it is nothing “against women.”
People cannot be Christian and followers of Christ if they don’t **follow** Him as commanded, if they make up their own rules.

And, one other thing: “Eagle, baker, hen, bread), being careful not to limit these by following them with male or female pronouns.’ Uh oh. Not all need “pronouns” to specify.
Their “guidelines” have done just that; *hen* is a **female** chicken. rooster is male. One must say “chicken” if one doesn’t wish to be gender specific. And if one knows the ‘gender,’ there is absolutely nothing wrong with showing the knowledge. It’s stupid to go to such lengths to try to hide it.

Incidentally, chicken means a baby cock or hen (talking about the avian variety, not the cuss word here). However, regardless of whether a cock or hen is killed to serve us our poultry meat, it’s called a chicken. How has nobody raised the issue of mis-ageing these birds? ?
somehistory says
Over my lifetime of living on the farm, we had many chickens. Baby chicks, female pullets, hens and male baby chicks, cockerels, roosters. And they are all called collectively “chickens.” Feed the chickens, make a pen of posts and chicken wire.
And not only are they easily confused by people such as those who attend this “church,” they are frequently used to mean “coward.”
Chickens are not cowards. The mother hen will defend her chicks against dogs, cats, hawks and eagles, etc….giving their own lives. And roosters will do the same to protect their hens.
But a lot of people are just plain stupid.

In the background, did anyone else notice that the blue panel decorations of white stars against blue backgrounds resembled the Somalian flag ??? Maybe the Dems should ask for the color red, like is the convention elsewhere in the world, where red represents the Leftist parties, and blue represents the Rightist parties
