As a former Leftist, I can tell you that they are brainwashed to think only the center-right are the bad guys and everyone else is their victim.
They don’t see Islam as a supremacist, fascist, genocidal ideology but rather they only see them as brown and black people who are persecuted by the white man (ie through a racial, not religious lens).
