Blinken, who is of Jewish descent, demands that Jews stop praying.
In all of the pretense that this war has something to do with “human rights” in Gaza and not an Islamic religious war against a non-Muslim minority group, there is an awkward fact that has to be talked around.
Hamas called their Oct 7 assault the “Al Aqsa Flood”. Hamas leaders stated that it was about the Al Aqsa Mosque. That’s what the Muslim invaders called the mosque that they built on top of the former site of the Jewish Temple when they invaded and conquered what had been Israel.
And Muslims get very upset when Jews visit the Temple Mount. They get even more upset when Jews pray there. On the Jewish fast of Tisha Ba’av, which commemorates the destruction of the two temples, Jews mourned by trying to visit the Temple Mount.
National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir visited the Temple Mount on Tisha B’av (the ninth day of the Hebrew month of Av) and stated that Jews should be able to visit and pray there. There were immediate condemnations from European countries and the Biden administration.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken issued a statement declaring that “the United States strongly opposes Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir’s visit to the Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount on August 13, which demonstrated blatant disregard for the historic status quo with respect to the holy sites in Jerusalem.”
By “status quo”, Blinken means that under Muslim apartheid rule, Jews were not allowed to visit or pray at their holiest site. Even after starting and losing two wars, along with the rest of Jerusalem, Muslims demanded that the apartheid status quo be maintained or they would kill Jews.
Rather than say the ugly ‘apartheid’ word, Blinken uses the vague term “status quo”. What it means is the same thing as it was the status quo for black people to sit in the back of the bus.
Blinken continues by describing Jews praying on the Temple Mount as “provocative” and demanded that the “Government of Israel prevent similar incidents in the future. The United States reaffirms our commitment to the preservation of the historic status quo.”
The Biden administration is committing to maintain an apartheid Islamic status quo that bans Jews from praying at their holiest state. And it doesn’t have the guts to say so clearly.
And, obscenely, Blinken, who is of Jewish descent, demands that Jews stop praying.
No one asks why Muslims are so enraged by Jews praying. Or why that justifies violence. That’s one of those questions we’re not allowed to ask.

Jews have the legal right to pray where they wish to in Israel as long as the government doesn’t make an insane law saying there are places where prayer by Jews is illegal.
So the mozlums say they will “kill Jews” if prayer is said by Jews where the Temple once stood. The mozlums will also “kill Jews” if no prayer is said anywhere by the Jews.
As for “status quo”….that has been broken in the U.S. and replaced by something evil and ugly, all while the majority of Americans who are paying attention are outraged by the replacement. And yet, blinken, biden, harris, bo and the rest of the gang, keep on with the changes.
The Jews should learn the Hank Williams song: “(Why Don’t You) Mind Your Own Business?”

Very sad to read this. Blinken as a Jew should know better. And referring to the Temple Mount with an Islamic name for it shows not only a lack of a Jewish perspective and understanding of the most holy place in Judaism but ignorance of the history of the landmark. I’m sure Blinken thinks of himself as knowledgeable and intelligent and here he fails a simply historical geography test.
This just goes to show that Jews who are not religious should acknowledge the importance of religion nevertheless. If Moshe Dayan had been a religious Jew or at least a Jew who understands the importance of religion, he would not have handed over the keys to the Temple Mount upon liberating it to the Jordanian Waqf. In a triumphant moment, Israel’s flag was hoisted over the newly conquered Temple Mount—then quickly taken down. Dayan saw nothing wrong about what he did and shows how unprepared Israel was for the consequences of liberating the Temple Mount and Wailing Wall. Dayan was a secular general and he imposed his thinking upon the liberation of Judaism’s most holy site.
The Waqf should have been forced to cede authority to a new contingent of Jewish, Christian and Muslim authority which would observe the rights of Jews to any and all religious activity at and on the Temple Mount. And an understanding that Jewish Authority over it all should have been made crystal clear. Dayan’s decision done in haste to simply accept the status quo of the Hashemite Waqf as the supreme authority was a tremendous mistake with major ramifications going forward.

You don’t have to be religious to understand that giving control of a Jewish religious site to Muslims is a massive betrayal of the Jewish people as a whole.

Muhammed the leader of Islam is born in Arabia and never been in Jerusalem. Only with a fake story with no witness that he was riding a mule, who took him from Mecca to Jerusalem. Not all Muslims believe in this fake story.
