David Weinberg, an Israeli political affairs analyst, listened to what Joe Biden and Kamala Harris had to say about Israel and the Palestinians at the DNC, and was appalled at what he heard. More on his savage indignation about their apparent belief that there are “two sides” that needed equally to be heard, and his series of pointed questions for Kamala Harris to answer if she can, are to be found here: “Dear Democrats, there are no two sides to Hamas support – opinion,” by David M. Weinberg, Jerusalem Post, August 24, 2024:
Speaking on the first day of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this week, outgoing US President Joe Biden blabbered, “Those protestors out in the street, they have a point. A lot of innocent people are being killed, on both sides.”
By “those people” Biden was referring to the pro-Hamas mobs calling for “intifada revolution” and “smashing the Zionist entity.” He was referring to people chanting, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” barking “Bibi, we’re at your gate, we’re taking back ’48,” bellowing that “Hamas is coming,” and promising that October 7 would be repeated “10,000 times and every day.”
Biden was referring to rioters screaming “Stop arming Israel” and calling for “Death to Zionists.”
They were not mildly calling for a reasonable Mideast ceasefire, nor ardently advocating for a peaceful two-state solution.
He was referring to deeply unpatriotic goons, so-called “progressives” that have brought antisemitic street violence to America’s cities and whose prime targets are Israelis and Jews but whose targets also include American democracy.
But Biden says “they have a point” because “a lot of innocent people” have been killed on “both sides,” seeming to suggest that Hamas and Israel are correspondingly culpable: The jubilant murderers of Hamas and the heroic civilian soldiers of the Jewish state, he suggests have both shed “a lot of innocent” blood and are similarly at fault for the continuation of the Gaza war. That is how it sounded to me….
Kamala Harris, who now officially holds the Democratic presidential nomination, showed Biden the way. One month ago, she declared that Gaza “is not a binary issue,” meaning, I guess, that there are “very fine people on both sides” of the protest lines.
Asked for her opinion about the students “occupying” (vandalizing and terrorizing) the campuses at which they supposedly study, Harris said, “They are showing exactly what the human emotion should be as a response to Gaza.”
What a telling and most unpleasant remark. I should have thought that the proper response should be one of horror and disgust at Hamas for the atrocities it committed on October 7 (and has continued to commit in its savage mistreatment of the hostages), and admiration for the IDF citizen-soldiers now fighting to defend their country and its people from those who would, if they could, destroy both.
Harris further wanted anti-Israel protesters to know “that I see you and I hear you,” and that she “will not be silent” about the humanitarian situation in Gaza. “I don’t mean to wholesale endorse their [the protester’s] points,” Harris added as an aside. “But we have to navigate it. I understand the emotion behind it.”
The “emotion” behind those pro-Hamas protesters is pure antisemitic hate. They want to see Israel destroyed so that a twenty-third Arab state can take its place “from the river to the sea.”
It escapes me how the blind rage, the hate for America, and the bashing of Israel that characterizes the mobs demonstrating against the Biden-Harris administration is a “human emotion” to be saluted. Alas, Harris is overcome with “emotions” that “have to be navigated and understood.”
Indeed, it seems that “famine” and feminine hygiene in Gaza are of greater concern to Harris than defeating Hamas or countering its near-nuclear Iranian sponsor. “Do they [Palestinian women in Gaza] have pads?” Harris emoted in a June interview with The Nation. “Early on [in the war] I was asking about sanitary hygiene, even if this makes people feel uncomfortable.”
And what about Palestinian cooking conditions? Harris worries about this too because she “likes to cook,” she told The Nation. And without good flour and clean water, “You can’t make s**t.”
So there you have it. The Democratic Party candidate for president has Palestinian sanitary hygiene and food security, “pads” and “shit” (how vulgar!), at the forefront of her concerns, and this has been the case since the early days of the war. She emotes about these things much more than defending embattled Israel or asserting American military dominance against Iran and its proxies (or against Russia, China, and other adversaries)….
For me, a joyous countenance and empathetic heart are not sufficient qualifications for the post of president of the United States of America; they may even be disqualifiers. Rather, I need to know what policies a candidate would pursue. So, here are several concrete questions for Kamala to answer:…
Instead of repining about pads for Palestinians in Gaza combat zones, wouldn’t it make more sense to force the creation of humanitarian relief precincts for Palestinian civilians in Sinai, despite Egyptian reticence to do so? Might your compassion for Palestinians lead to creative solutions led by America in this regard, not just to criticism of Israel?”
And finally: “Are you going to continue the outrageous Biden administration focus on sanctioning right-wing Israelis that you don’t like, ranging from settlers to opponents of humanitarian aid for Hamas, while negotiating sanctions relief for Iran and pumping the terrorist-supporting Palestinian Authority with more US taxpayer dollars?”
Weinberg might have explained what he meant by “terrorist-supporting Palestinian Authority.” I take this to be an allusion to the fact that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas continues with his “Pay-For-Slay” Program, which provides generous monthly payments both to imprisoned terrorists and to the families of terrorists who died while committing their terrorist acts. Congress passed the Taylor Force Act in 2018, that requires the American government to withhold financial aid to the Palestinian Authority as long as it continues with its “Pay-For-Slay” program. But those payments are still being made. Mahmoud Abbas has melodramatically declared he will continue with the program “even with my last penny.” And the Biden-Harris administration has knowingly violated the Taylor Force Act by lavishing billions of dollars in aid on the PA over the last four years. Kamala Harris should be asked pointblank: “Will a Harris-Walz administration continue to violate the Taylor Force Act by providing aid to the Palestinian Authority?”
We’ll wait right here for her answer.

There are equally hostages on both sides. Like murderes taken hostage by Israel, and babies taken hostage by Hamas…

Hamas does not want a 23rd Arab state. Apart from their negative goal of destroying Israel and all Jews worldwide they wish to establish an Islamic caliphate, with its capital in Jerusalem, to replace all existing Muslim states and eventually to conquer all of Dar al Harb.
The democrats utterly disgust me. They would have had no issue with Solomon if he had hacked the baby in two since that would have evaded making any decision against evil and dividing the baby between the two women would have represented their idea of “equity.”

That reader might notice that both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, that they speak about the rights of the “Palestinians” are so ignorant of history that have no idea ,at all , that there isn’t any actual ethnic group or race of people who are genuine the “Palestinians.”
The people who give themselves that term are Arabs who hope that word will give them some kind of valid claim in that land that is Israel
Both Biden and Harris are ignorant and neither of them are qualified for the Office of the Presidency of the United States. Not just of this reason alone but in addition , also for many other reasons.

Harris is campaigning tonight and telling voters she and Biden have been working to get the hostages freed and a cease fire. Well Joe’s been on vacation since their convention ended and she and her support dog Tim Walz have been campaigning and making prerecorded, edited interviews. But after 10 months they’ve done nothing.

Any Jewish-American who votes for this intifada ticket is a down & out traitor, and might as well convert directly to islam while he is at it. Already, Alan Dershowitz has declared that he’s no longer a Democrat, and even Jews like Bernie, crying Chuck and Mr Emhoff should just go ahead and recite the shehada together

Sanders would recite some Communist oath. Why does he need 3 houses? Shouldn’t he give 2 at least to people who need housing?
Of course not; in Communism those with power get nice dachas while everyone else suffers.

I really hope Trump uses this to inform the voters what a pathetic, woke, anti semitic bunch of no hopers the dems are. You can’t sit on the fence after the atrocities of October 7. The public should be made aware of the stupidity of this stance. I f nothing else, Trump should point to what is happening in the UK as an example of what might be in the future for Americans.
