President Joe Biden who has been on vacation since well forever took time out from his busy schedule of hanging out at the beach and at a billionaire’s private estate to issue a press release about the 13 Americans he got killed.
Or more likely someone else issued the press release for him.
The press release, marking Biden’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal, which left 13 American servicemembers dead, unknown numbers of Americans trapped behind enemy lines (just one of those massive scandals that the media chose not to dwell on), and a whole lot of firepower in Taliban hands, made no apologies.
Kamala issued her own press release that used some of the same language, but added that, “as I have said, President Biden made the courageous and right decision to end America’s longest war.”
Now the Taliban have banned women from speaking in public. Al Qaeda is back in Afghanistan. And all is right in D.C. and the beaches of Santa Ynez.

This is akin to the Mafia bosses bragging about all of the businesses they have extorted, the loot they have accumulated illegally and the lives they have destroyed.
And that other thing someone said about the hyena’s laugh being “infectious.” The whole crew in the seat of the executive branch of the government is as “infectious” a.k.a. “deadly” as the Black Plague of Death in the 1300’s.
There are a few of them who would cackle along with the hyena, but no one with a working brain cell and honest heart.

Trump had already made the decision to pull out, and was doing so even during the transition: all Biden had to do was let it continue and not touch it. But like Trump said, everything Biden touches turns to ?, w/ the end result being the death of those 13 servicement, and some hundreds of Americans and allies stuck in Afghanistan. (Incidentally, are they all back, or are they still languishing in Afghanistan?)
Electorally, it was a great day for Trump, since Biden was either on his California vacation or at Rehoboth beach, while Kamala was busy cramming for the debate, even while her agents ask the Trump campaign to allow “notes” ie cheat sheets. Only thing good about all these negotiations is that the Commission on Presidential Debates has been kicked to the curb

Which is why I don’t think Trump is really as tough as many people say he is. Selling weapons to Saudi Arabia is not a good response to what happened on 9/11/2001.

No, Operation Enduring Freedom was won in 2001 itself, and that’s when US troops should have been pulled out. Except for a small group looking for Osama, who was ultimately discovered to be in Pakistan. There was no reason for the US to remain, help them write a constitution (which still had a death penalty for apostasy) and indulge them in 20 years of nation-building
On Trump selling weapons to the Saudis, there are a few things to factor in here:
➤ No action was taken against Riyadh under both Presidents Bush nor Obama. When Trump came in, Saudi Arabia had already seen a change of guard after King Abdullah’s death, and MbS, the real power behind the throne, was initiating reforms
➤ At the Riyadh summit in 2017, all those muslim countries committed to combating jihad activity – not just terrorism, but also dawa & hate preaching. Since that time, Saudi Arabia has mostly gone w/ that spirit, banning groups like Tabhlighi Jamaat, reforming their education system to end teaching of Jew hatred, cutting off international dawa funding from their government and a few other things, like cooperation w/ Israel. Contrast that w/ Turkey and Qatar, who were also attendees at that summit but reneged on any such commitments
➤ Trump signed a $350 billion arms deal w/ Saudi Arabia, which Biden later revoked. Note that at that time, the US hadn’t started record oil production, so it didn’t make sense right then to piss off the Saudis. Nor was the murder of Jamal Khashoggi a good reason to do it: if the US didn’t sell them the weaponry, someone else would. And $350 billion of cash into the US was nothing to sneeze at
I do agree that the 9/11 victims deserve justice, and a good way would be to open up the 23 redacted pages of the 9/11 Commission Report that addresses the Saudi role. They should absolutely do that, and set aside any Statute of Limitations restrictions on those people bringing suit against the Saudis. But that’s something that they should do
If you think Trump should have ostracized the Saudis, well, Biden did, and look at where we are now. Saudi Arabia has ceased demanding payments in ? and has opened up to alternative currencies, even looking at a Blockchain solution. While Israel may be stuck w/ us, the Saudis aren’t, and they’ve joined the China-led SCO bloc. That, along w/ the sanctions on Russia, has directly led to the “dedollarization” trend that we’re seeing worldwide, meaning that the ? is no longer the world’s reserve currency. As a result, our printing more of it will be no different from Uzbekistan or Zimbabwe, and we could see results like the Weimar Republic
So no, there are ways of bringing justice for the 9/11 victims vis a vis Saudi Arabia. Doing what the Biden Administration has been doing ain’t one of them
