Islamic apologists in the West still routinely deny that Islamic law forbids music. In Bangladesh, they aren’t trying to fool the infidels, they’re just enforcing Sharia.

“Narrated Aisha: Abu Bakr came to my house while two small Ansari girls were singing beside me the stories of the Ansar concerning the Day of Buath. And they were not singers. Abu Bakr said protestingly, ‘Musical instruments of Satan in the house of Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) !’ It happened on the `Id day and Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, ‘O Abu Bakr! There is an `Id for every nation and this is our `Id.’” (Sahih al-Bukhari 952)
“Bangladesh: Muslims ban music in village Chiksa of Tahirpur, say Islam forbids it and loudspeakers are causing distress,” OpIndia, August 19, 2024:
On 18th August, the Muslims of village Chiksa of Tahirpur Upazila of district Sunamganj in Bangladesh banned music at weddings, birthdays or any other events, as per reports. It has been decided that anyone who plays music or any musical instrument will face legal action. The rule was implemented by the elders of the village.
A report in Desh Rupantor claimed that the rule was introduced as music was being played at high volumes during social events that disturbed the patients, elderly and children in the village. Furthermore, as music is forbidden in Islam, the elders decided to implement the rule that no one would play music in the town anymore. The Hindu residents of the town did not resist the directives.
It is pertinent to note that Hindus are a minority in Bangladesh and have also come under severe attack after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government. There have been several cases of houses and businesses of Hindus being vandalised, Hindu women being raped, men being attacked and temples being vandalised….

Another proof of the insanity of Islam. Would that they would rule that say Islam forbids eating food and drinking water. That would solve many of this planets problems.

On X yesterday, I stumbled on a conversation about some muslims wanting to change Bangladesh’s national anthem, which was written by a non-muslim Bengali Rabindranath Tagore (whose statue at Dhaka university was pulled down during the coup). I noted then that since islam proscribes music, they could simply delete the national anthem and be done w/. Looks like the local muslims in the place in this story agree w/ me

Muslims must ban the “music” from loudspeaker on mosques, isn’t they sing the prayer call? So, it is a kind of music too. The prayer call ( and other sounds from the mosque loudspeakers) are playerd at very high volume, and disturb every body nearby.
But Islam is full with double standard, so don’t expect they will reason logically.
