The order was passed down by Afghanistan’s morality police in the Ministry for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice after an investigation into the sport’s compliance with Islamic law, or sharia, the statement and local media said.
“It was found that the sport is problematic with respect to sharia and it has many aspects which are contradictory to the teachings of Islam,” the Taliban government sports authority said in a statement sent to AFP.
“That’s why this decision has been made to ban mixed martial arts in Afghanistan.”…

In my opinion, it’s because as a “sport,” it means there is no deliberate desire to hurt, maim or kill.

Mixed martial arts is an Islamic no-no but stoning and thrashing women is ok. Also arresting women who dress contrary to “Islam” and doing God-knows-what to them while arrested is fine. This is not only a sick society but one which is contrary to simple logic. But there is nothing logical about Islam unless you first accept that infidels and women have no rights and are subject to whatever Islamic torturers want to do to them including killing them. Islam is Religious Fascism.

FYI, fyi, having dyslexia (which my youngest daughter has) does not make for bad spelling. What happens is that letters get turned the wrong way, so that a d looks like a b and vice versa. 3’s get turned so they look like upper case cursive E’s. Lower case letters like h and upper case like N get turned so they face in the opposite direction.
Those things may give the impression of poor spelling.

I wasn’t implying that you meant to offend; just letting you…and others know….what it means when a person has it. Some very intelligent people have had it and not many in the public square knew.
However, it is a sensitive subject to those who have the condition as it is often used in such a way to poke fun at the sufferers.
By the way, my daughter writes beautiful poetry and she has overcome a lot of the difficulty with her letters and numbers through years of hard work. No one would have any trouble with her ‘spelling’ now.

When i was a kid i got in to trouble in school because i liked to spell west-ERN as west-REN.it is more to do with word play/Linguistics and so my desire to change the meanings of words was born which i call “dylexia”.When i try to find it on Google it comes back as “Did you mean..Dyslexia?”
It is more to do with langauge meaning and word play…a trick my parents taught me as a kid..that certain words you must never say…i said it them all the time..
“you say tomato and i say tomato” doesn’t work on the internet
So my {dylexia} is not {dyslexia}
I just ike to change words by fiddling the meaning/spelling..

There are many legitimate countries to have the sport of MMA in. The Sharia tyrannical Taliban have total power in land isn’t even genuine nation .

Because of no clothes except for pants? Once, a class mate in the university said that it was haram for him to wear pants that showed his knees. I heard later that he got a PhD degree in a US university, he was smart and educated, but it is the educated muslims who are more likely become fundamentalists.
