It doesn’t matter to anyone who supports Corbyn that the mosque where he appeared “hosted an Egyptian imam, Omar Abdelkafi, who pledged to ‘liberate’ Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem from the ‘filth of the Jews.'” Jew-hatred has been normalized on the left.

The mosque has in the past hosted an Egyptian imam, Omar Abdelkafi, who pledged to “liberate” Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem from the “filth of the Jews”.
Abdelkafi is also on record quoting from the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, a notorious antisemitic forgery that claims Jews seek to dominate the world….

The hatred of others long preceeded any of the modern conflicts; long before the ‘Palestinian/Jewish’ problem. The colonialism of arab Islam, along with the modern marxist colonialism, work quite easily together in this regard. Hatred being the operative word… and those like Corbyn have no problem whatsoever ignoring any and all of that. The problem in his constituency seems to be the high percentage of Leftists. I’m sure he defeated, among others, the official Labour candidate, who’s bound to have been islamophilic to some extent, and then the Lib Dems & others. I can only assume that there were enough anti-islam voters who sat out that election
