More on this story. “Fulanis Kill 18 Christians in Benue State, Nigeria,” Morning Star News, July 24, 2024:
ABUJA, Nigeria (Christian Daily International–Morning Star News) – Fulani attackers killed 18 Christians in a late-night assault on Friday (July 19) in central Nigeria, area residents said.
The assailants invaded Mbacher village, a predominantly Christian community in Benue state’s Katsina-Ala County, at about 11 p.m., said Joseph Achiv.
“A group of Fulani Muslims carrying deadly weapons attacked Mbacher village,” Achiv told Christian Daily International-Morning Star News. “Eighteen Christians were killed during the attack as the villagers were sleeping.”Justine Shaku, chairman of the Katsina-Ala Local Government Council, said members that night received distressed calls and text messages from villagers that a group of Fulani terrorists were invading their village.
“We made efforts to ensure soldiers were drafted to the area to repel the bandits, but the soldiers got there when the terrorists had left after killing 18 persons,” Shaku said.
Catherine Anene, spokesperson for the Benue State Police Command, said security agents had been deployed to the area.
“We have received reports from Katsina Ala Division of the police about the attacks in that area and the killing of 18 persons,” Anene said. “A joint security effort is on as security agents have been deployed there, and investigation into the occurrence of the incident has commenced.”
Nigeria remained the deadliest place in the world to follow Christ, with 4,118 people killed for their faith from Oct. 1, 2022 to Sept. 30, 2023, according to Open Doors’ 2024 World Watch List (WWL) report. More kidnappings of Christians than in any other country also took place in Nigeria, with 3,300….

moslums hate Christians. And, so does “the world.” Jesus said this would be the case and that the hatred would include persecution and murder of Christians before He returns to “set things straight.”
But He promised that the “days would be cut short” for this persecution and murder or “no flesh would be saved.”
mozlums and “the world” are in their element; but “the elements, being intensely hot, will melt.”
Christians, even in nigeria, can ‘raise their heads and stand erect as deliverance is getting near.’

Scripture states that until there is peace in the middle east revelations will not take place, Believe God is watching everything with Jesus beside him. Everything is on God’s time The waiting is hard to see all the killings and such, only God knows the time and day when he says enough is enough.
somehistory says
Sorry, but there will not be “peace” anywhere as Revelation 6 says one rider has been “granted to take peace away from the earth.”
And Paul wrote about “whenever they are saying “peace and security” sudden destruction will come instantly upon them”
‘They” will be claiming it, but it will not be true.
The Bible also says that “God has set a day in which He will judge the entire inhabited earth.” He set it long ago when He laid Judgment on Adam and Eve. When that “day” arrives, Jesus will return.
We don’t know “the day and hour,” but we can clearly see the Signs.
Troybeam says
You are correct Rev. 6:3, second seal a red horse with the power to take peace from the earth.
Had a Pastor who told me revelation would start when there was peace in the middle east, short lived if it ever happens. Did the pastor not state truth?
somehistory says
When Jesus was asked by His disciples when He would “set up His Kingdom,” He gave them a sign…some say a “composite sign,’ of things that would be happening just before He returns.
The books of Matthew, Mark and Luke detail this sign.
There is no mention of ‘peace’ in His prophecy, but “wars and rumors of wars,” along with earthquakes, famine, pestilences, and He said, “men will become faint out of fear” because of all of the things happening. He spoke of “great tribulation” that would be just before He “appears in heaven” to Judge mankind.
The Apostle Paul wrote of people… “they”… saying “peace and security” but this will be a false statement.
I would say that the pastor doesn’t understand Jesus’ prophecy about the times in which we are living. The Revelation itself doesn’t say there will be peace until God has made “all things new.”

Hindus should worry? Sikhs? Buddhists?
Was he referring to the inhabitants of Pago Pago, too?

C’mon, now. Standing, heads held high, as they’re throats are being cut?

JIhad. The Nigerian government does nothing; because it is dominated by Muslims. The army is dominated by Muslims. The police force is dominated by Muslims.

All grimly true, DDA.

I am reaching the point where I am considering giving up trying to comment at Jihadwatch. I have been reading and commenting regularly at this site since partway through 2006 when I first came across it. I went to one of Robert Spencer’s presentations when he visited Australia and did a bit of a speaking tour, years ago. But it is getting more and more difficult to post a comment; half the time I get the ‘access denied’ security firewall ‘shove off’ message.
So if any of those who were regularly commenting back when it was a lot easier to post comments are wondering what has happened to me; I still read here occasionally but much of the time now I don’t have the energy to try to post comments when they either vanish into the ether – so I don’t know whether they have been accepted or not – or are blocked, full stop.
James Lincoln says
dumbledoresarmy,
Seems like you are having trouble posting.
Have you tried contacting Marc at Jihad Watch for assistance?
somehistory says
dda,
I have read many of your comments and never once read one that had a reason to be blocked.
As James asked, try contacting Marc and see if he can assist you. You make a valuable contribution to the comments.

I miss your erudite comments here.

Nigeria: Muslims murder 18 Christians in Benue state
………………………………………….
These *poor Christians*. And this has *hardly* been the first of these atrocities. This is a full on genocide of Christians there. And the authorities–so many of whom are Muslim–are of course doing nothing to stop this.
