New in PJ Media:
Let me tell you about far leftists. They are different from you and me. If ordinary people publicly threatened to assassinate the president or a presidential candidate or wished that someone else would do so, those people would have to answer to the law. But leftists? Even when they show the world how low they really are, they still think that they are better than we are, and with good reason: no matter how criminal their deeds or words are, they suffer no consequences. They are different.
New York Times columnist John McWhorter has shown us this again recently by wishing someone would assassinate Donald Trump. Has he been arrested? Lost his job? Been publicly repudiated by his friends? Come on, man!
The Daily Fetched reported Thursday that McWhorter recently appeared on leftist Brown University Glenn Loury’s podcast, The Glenn Show, which has 123,000 YouTube subscribers. McWhorter was contrite — or at least as contrite as hardline leftist ideologues can get. He announced (at 17:49 here): “I have taken a great deal of heat for saying, or implying, that I wish somebody would kill Donald Trump. And that is exactly what I was implying. It was irresponsible —”
Loury jumped in to emphasize the point: “That is what you were implying.”
McWhorter agreed: “Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I said it. And it was irresponsible of me to say that in a public space. I really shouldn’t have said it here. Now I already did, and so, you know, I have to own it, I did say it. Somebody has asked, you know, ‘Do you say that in private?’ And, yes, I have said it often, and I have only halfway been kidding, and I’m gonna say it again, yes. And it is a smaller side of me. I should not wish for another person to suffer, even if it’s a hideous pig of a man like him.”
McWhorter went on to compare his statement to that of Cal State economist Julianne Malveaux, who wished that Clarence Thomas’ wife would feed him fatty foods that would clog his arteries and lead to his death. McWhorter also tried to exonerate himself by saying, “I fear for my country.”
Surprisingly, however, Loury was not convinced. He told McWhorter that he had known Malvaux since they were students together and called her a “firebrand.” Then he added, laughing awkwardly: “What you have said, I think is much worse.” McWhorter stood his ground, joining in the laugh but insisting: “No, it isn’t.” Loury explained, “Uh, do you realize what hell will have been unleashed upon the country if people start and continue to talk like that? You — This is not something that you can just casually throw around: killing politicians whom you don’t like.”
There is more. Read the rest here.

> “leftist Brown University Glenn Loury’s podcast,”
Robert, Glenn Loury is a conservative.

And I don’t think of McWhorter as a leftist. He seems quite reasonable about a lot things. Too bad Trump Derangement Syndrome took a hold of him.
Peter Burrows says
Because he will scream “RACIST” if they mess with him.

Since Brown University is as leftist as the rest of the “Ivy” League, how is Loury allowed to remain affiliated with them?

Tucker Carlson touched on this earlier this year, when he interviewed President Trump. He asked him whether, having failed to prevent President Trump from running, including lawfare & those 4 lawsuits which went nowhere (except the New York one which now has to get revised to accommodate the immunity decision of SCOTUS), the Left would try to assassinate him. Dan Bongino too touched upon that in a subsequent interview w/ Tucker
I wonder whether there is a Statute of Limitations on such statements? If no, the Secret Service should visit McWhorter after January 20th next year, if not earlier

It’s already happened. In June 2017, a leftist shot up a practice baseball game and seriously wounded Steve Scalise. That was just 5 months after Trump took office. Progressive Leftism just like Islam is a brain-eating cancer spread by mouth.

Spencer gets a couple things wrong. First, Loury is NOT left-leaving, if anything he’s right-leaning. Secondly, McWhorter enjoys a second shield because he’s black. Come on Spence! You know better than to pussy-foot around that one

Leftists are so ill informed about what is actually happening in international politics. It’s as if they were work horses, wearing blinders to cordon off their vision and create an incomplete alternate reality. The US youth, old enough to vote, should think about not voting for Dems this time, because a vote for the Dem Party will be a vote to die in a foreign wars, mainly in Ukraine. The Gaza war won’t reach the US in any serious way, while expansion of the Ukraine War means destruction on US soil and conscription of youth into a real world war.
Biden isn’t running the government, as we all know. The “Mice” are out for war with egos that can’t withstand anything less than defeat of Russia – which won’t happen. The EU only has small “show” armies with little experience. They use NATO for cheap “bodyguard” protection, not even paying the amount promosed, to be provided by the US military. US kids are the EU’s expendables, just like the Ukrainians are Sen Graham’s expendables in the proxy war against Russia.
The idea of “eliminating” Trump, when his intent is to stop the Ukraine war, is shear stupidity on John McWhorter’s part. The oceans won’t insulate him from the violence of a hot war with either Russia or China.

biden claimed that “immunity” means the president can assassinate someone.
*justice* sotomayor made the claim first in her dissent.
an *actress*….can’t recall her name as someone I had never even heard of, called for biden, re; Trump, to “take him out.”
Should something happen to Mr. Trump. there would be a whole boatload of suspects.
and OT but also from the NYT
“New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd accused the Biden campaign of pressuring the publication to change the wording in an article transcribing a recent gaffe made by the president.”
Things for the “left” may just be falling apart.

Funny how we humans think we are so civilized. We are willing to KILL each other while living in a world of wealth and opportunity, just because we don’t like someone or their political views. Instead of wasting our time fighting views, let’s work together to make as many of our lives and future better. It can be done.
