The term “Islamophobia” is an illegitimate conflation of two distinct phenomena: vigilante attacks against innocent Muslims, which are never justified, and honest analysis of the motivating ideology of jihad terror, which is always necessary. The objective of this conflation is to silence that analysis by falsely claiming that it leads to or causes those attacks.

And so now we have this initiative, under the guise of an effort to counter those vigilante attacks. But what it will lead to will be those who support Israel or criticize the jihad ideology will be liable to be considered an enemy of the state.

Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff said on Thursday that the Biden administration plans to soon release new guidance on best practices for combating Islamophobia.

Emhoff revealed the news while kicking off a roundtable on “interfaith coalition building” he convened with a group of religious leaders at the White House, after noting that many of those participating in Thursday’s meeting are “part of the interagency group that the president stood up to counter antisemitism and also Islamophobia.”

“The first deliverable, in May of 2023, was the first-ever national strategy to counter antisemitism. We are now getting into year two with additional actions. There will be an Islamophobia plan coming out soon as well, and making sure we are fighting hate wherever it exists,” Emhoff said after touting the administration’s efforts to “counter hate and restore unity.”

That deliverable was a whole-of-society approach that included more than 100 policy commitments across the executive branch and a call to action for ordinary Americans to stand together with the Jewish community in fighting antisemitism. The document does not address how precisely to define the term, following pushback by progressives to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s working definition of antisemitism. Opponents of the IHRA definition argued that it conflates anti-Zionism with antisemitism.

Also at the meeting on behalf of the administration were Rashad Hussain, U.S. ambassador-at-large for international religious freedom, and Stephen K. Benjamin, the director of the White House’s Office of Public Engagement.

The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism and the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism were among the organizations that participated in the roundtable, which was closed to the press after opening remarks from Emhoff, Benjamin and Hussain….

  2. I gave a copy of Robert Spencer’s 2005 “The Myth of Islamic Tolerance: How Islamic Law Treats Non-Muslims” to a previous congressman. He didn’t seem pleased that I gave it to him at a public forum, did not thank me for doing so, and never got back to me about it.

    Until ‘they’ finally understand the problem, they’ll continue to pander to a steadily increasing Muslim voting block.

    We must continue to try to help them understand.

  3. It’s impossible to fight something which does not exist. But it isn’t really what these people claim, so they will *fight* with laws to make it illegal to be Truthful about islam and the goals and intentions of mozlums everywhere.

    They have already made the decision that people who are pro-life and fight (not with violence) for the lives of the unborn and to help expectant moms have healthy babies are “domestic terrorists.”
    If they can do this….which they have done…then making it a crime to be Truthful about islam and the goals and intentions of mozlums, will be a piece of cake. After all, ilhan elmi, aoc, bush, jayapal, jefferies, r tlaib, bowman, pressley and so many others have been pushing buttons and hollering loud and long for this kind of tyranny.

  4. Here’s an idea, idiot, if you want to fight hate then concentrate on fighting the murderous level of hate in islam. The calls in the Koran for Muslims to kill non-Muslims when the opportunity arises make it clear how ferocious the hatred in islam is. Instead of trying to protect stinking, hate-filled islam, by fighting “islamophobia” (a nonsense term if ever there was one) these clowns should fight evil islam.

      • No doubt what you say is correct, somehistory. I can’t believe how many people in our western societies seem to be fooled by islam and know nothing about its intrinsic evil and hatred for all non-Muslims. Once I knew about those calls in the Koran for Muslims to kill non-Muslims when they got the chance to do so, that was the end of islam for me. It is the opposite of Christianity, with its message of love and peace. islam is down in the gutter and Christianity has very high ideals for human beings to aim for. All I can say is, go islamophobia, because, a religion that calls on its members to hate non-Muslims and to kill them is surely nothing but evil filth.

        • Tim, this is more than annoying; 23 years–a generation–after 9/11. I tried to educate myself about Islam right after that atrocity. That so few have is not just ignorance, but *willful ignorance*.

          For so many, it is not that they don’t know about Islam; it is that they don’t *want* to know.

          And thanks for asking–I am doing well apart from this insanity. Hope the same is true with you.

        • Yes, it is extraordinary that so many people continue to remain staggeringly ignorant about islam’s nature, gravenimage and James. To me, it seems to be too important an issue, for all of us non-Muslims, to simply ignore reality and go on inhabiting a fantasyland where islam is considered to be quite OK and not a threat. As you say, James, ignorance is bliss until it is mugged by reality. It doesn’t get very cold out here but I am freezing and not feeling very well. I loathe the winter and probably should clear out and move to the tropical part of Australia in the way Americans go to Miami, but I won’t do so because all my family are in various parts of Sydney and we look after one another when we hit health problems and we are all getting old…

        What annoyed me more than him was The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism and the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism being among the participants in this exercise. They really need to educate themselves about what islamic texts teach about Jews. Jewish groups being against “islamophobia” is not just “chickens for KFC” or “cows for Five Guys”: it is “Jews for Nazism”

  8. How many nations across the globe have muslim minorities that attack Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, nations and demand special rules and rights and engage Jihad on a consistent basis? For that matter how many nations of muslim majority have shia vs sunni Jihad, and murders and bigotry, with special attention paid to Jihad against apostates? Now, how many of all the other religions have anything similar against Islam. If one adds it up, Islam is a seriour world leader in homicidism, in serial murdering, in institutional and cultural bigotry, in hatreds codified for others that resist not merely change, but resist any mention of their actual existance.

How many Muslims are speaking out against the call from more attacks by the HAMAS, Hezbollah, Iran, the Houthi, etc.,? Almost none…..so are their really any innocent Muslims?
