It was a big mistake to allow Turkey to be part of NATO in the first place. Turkey’s commitment to secularism was never strong outside the major cities, and now, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s goal is to revive the Ottoman Empire (that is, restore a global Islamic caliphate).
In 2018, the Turkish daily newspaper Yeni Şafak, which is closely aligned to Erdogan, called for an Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) “army of Islam” to attack Israel.
In April 2021, Erdogan declared Israel to be an enemy of Islam. He called upon all of humanity to “follow closely Israel’s hostility against Islam.” A month later, when Israel was being attacked by a barrage of Hamas rocket fire and was forced to defend itself via Operation Guardian of the Walls, Erdogan asked the pope to “mobilize the Christian world” to support the jihad against Israel. Erdogan has also falsely accused Israel of a “massacre” of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Now Turkey wants to invade Israel, Islamic conquest style. By a unanimous vote, Turkey should be expelled from NATO, given that it’s diametrically opposed to NATO’s “common values of individual liberty, democracy, human rights and the rule of law.”

Israel’s foreign minister urged NATO to expel Turkey on Monday after its President Tayyip Erdogan threatened that his country might enter Israel, as it had entered Libya and Nagorno-Karabakh in the past.
“In light of Turkish President Erdogan’s threats to invade Israel and his dangerous rhetoric, Foreign Minister Israel Katz instructed diplomats… to urgently engage with all NATO members, calling for the condemnation of Turkey and demanding its expulsion from the regional alliance,” the ministry said.
Erdogan, a fierce critic of Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza, said in a speech on Sunday: “We must be very strong so that Israel can’t do these ridiculous things to Palestine. Just like we entered Karabakh, just like we entered Libya, we might do similar to them.”
He did not spell out what sort of intervention he was suggesting.
“Erdogan is following in the footsteps of Saddam Hussein and threatening to attack Israel. He should remember what happened there and how it ended,” Katz said in a statement later Sunday in response.….

Islam is the enemy of all humanity and has been for 1400 years. Nobody would think about Islam if it kept to itself. But Islam intends to conquer the world by violence instead of the wisdom of teachings. It has declared and practices its expansion by conquest killing between 250 and 1000 million (1 Billion) depending on who is counting and where they look. Right now, Turkey is a member of NATO, and Israel ain’t. If Turkey invades Israel, NATO would have to either be neutral, or take Turkey’s side. They can’t take Israel’s

The majority of American nukes, outside of the contiinenal United States are deployed in Turkey. Turkey claims them as their own. Under a weak US government, can the Turkish military swarm Incirilik Air Base and recover what they belioeve is their property? If they can, will they?

US should begin the transfer of all aircraft, weapons, ammo, radar, and leave every US installation stipped of everything – in other words the complete opposite of what occurred in Afghanistan. And ship it all to Poland.

It’s not just Israel calling for Turkey’s expulsion from NATO, Geert Wilders from the Netherlands is also demanding it. But we have to remember that NATO’S largest nuclear arsenal is still based at the Incirlik Air Base in Turkey, and unfortunately Turkey retains tight control over the US use of it. So there is absolutely no way will Erdogan will allow those weapons to be removed.

Yes Gravenimage he has. Up till now he is the only present NATO member to have done this, hopefully more will follow.
Unfortunately the Incerlick Air Base is not under US control as some here believe it is, it is under Turkish control. Completely different to the way things were in Afghanistan, and that is a frightening fact. This is the reason that I believe Turkey has not been expelled from NATO. Erdogan is in control of our nuclear arsenal whether we like it or not, and he has been since the attempted coup. Okay, to arm those nuclear bombs he has to crack the codes that protect them, and who’s to say that the codes can’t be cracked. After all it is spent technology from the sixties that protects them.

US can remove those weapons. What’s Turkey gonna do – send troops in to possess them? I believe the controls for those are in the Pentagon, not at Incirlik. Similar to the 90s, when one major reason Ukraine got rid of its nukes was that the controls remained in Moscow, and were not gonna be transferred to Kyiv

Infidel, I hope you are right with your assumption that the US can remove those weapons, but I wouldn’t count on it. As for sending in troops, well that’s the first thing he did during the attempted coup in 2016, so what’s to stop him doing it again.
As to who owns the keys to the safe, I don’t Know. But I’d rather be in possession of the safe with the money in, than the key to open it. This is the way I believe (but I hope I’m wrong) Erdogan is thinking..Those nuclear bombs are in Turkey and if he can keep them there he will.

If Turkey can be a member of NATO, then Russia too deserves membership
Actually, as I’ve pointed out, the only value that Turkey has to NATO is its strategic position via a vis Russia. If Russia was no longer a threat i.e. say it got added to NATO, there would be zero value of Turkey to NATO. Which is one more reason that the US should, in addition to ending the Ukraine war, look at fixing relations w/ Russia and splitting the Beijing-Moscow alliance. Remember, from the Nixon era and beyond, the Soviets & the Chicoms were never allies, and this continued until the Soviet Union came unraveled. That’s the #1 thing we need to do, and once we’ve done that, not only can we deal w/ China, but we can deal w/ the islamic threats as well

NATO came up alongside the Berlin Wall so how come it didn’t go down alongside the Berlin Wall.
Many people Of The Left in Germany and other EU Nations wanted Turkey to join the EU even though its not in Europe, except for a tiny tiny sliver however the Capital of that country, Ankarra, is over a thousand miles away from that tiny wee sliver.
The joining of Turkey to the EU can never happen as long as Turkey has the Death Penalty in the Law of the Land.
They most certainly should not be allowed into the EU, which also needs to be dismantled,, but imagine the free flow of Turks coming into the EU without Visa..
Both the EU and NATO are gone by relics, not needed in today’s world but we can see who is holding the power of both those ancient gangs.
