Proxy jihad attack from the Islamic Republic of Iran.
“Houthi drone attack rocks Tel Aviv near US embassy branch office, injuring 7,” by Katherine Donlevy, New York Post, July 18, 2024:
Yemen seemingly attacked Tel Aviv in an early morning drone attack Friday morning — just one block away from a US embassy branch office, according to Israeli officials and media.
An explosion erupted just before 3:15 a.m. in the coastal city, shattering the glass of nearby homes, video of the chaos shows. At least one building sustained blast damage.
Seven people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, local outlet Maariv reported….

And if Israel shoots in response, they’ll be told to cease fire so as not to injure any “citizens.”
Attacks from every side.

The citizens are part of the problem. Napalm the lot of them.

I don’t think it was a very wise thing to do.

So Israel can protect itself against Hamas but not the Houthis? Also, if the Houthis have such long range weapons, Iran would be far more formidable. Just witness the fact that they’ve been a drone supplier to Russia

I’ve read that in Tel Aviv, there was a 50-year-old Israeli Jewish man who got killed by one of the rockets, while he was resting in his apartment.
Israel has every right to defend itself, and to retaliate against these murderous Islamist thugs.

I await the response of the IDF and applaud whatever they feel the right thing to do…

Saudi Arabia should join with Israel and wipe out the Houthis

Problem is that when it was Saudi Arabia waging a war against the Houthis, the world saw it as an islamic theocracy waging a war against a people who dared follow a different sect of islam. Forget us jihadwatchers, who didn’t care what happened in a muslim-on-muslim war: you had the likes of Senator Rand Paul, Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard & a few others come down like a ton of bricks on Saudi Arabia. So fast forward, and once Saudi Arabia made a non-aggression pact w/ Iran, they stopped being the target of the Houthis, who were now free to cause havoc on shipping in the Bab-el Mandab
The country most impacted by Houthi activity has been Egypt, which also has the largest army in the Arab world. Maybe they can send troops to Yemen, or bomb Sana’a, or do whatever to destroy Houthi power. Until this attack, Israel had nothing to fear from Houthis, since Red Sea shipping didn’t affect them: they get the bulk of their imports via the Mediterranean. After that G20 agreement, Israel would have gotten a new route from India via Saudi Arabia, Emirates and the Arabian Sea
So what the Israeli air force needs to do is hunt down drones. In the meantime, maybe Egypt can rally the Arab League to form a coalition against the Houthis, even if that might not include the likes of Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq or Syria. Let them invade Yemen, occupy it completely and straighten it out. Maybe there is no case for an independent Yemen, and that country should simply be annexed by Saudi Arabia
