In July 2024, several state administrations in India issued directives that owners of hotels, eateries, food stalls, or any similar shops that sell food items should display their names on the signboards of their shops. Though many shop owners willingly chose to put their identities on display, there was a massive outrage among some Muslims and Muslim and non-Muslim Islamic apologists occupying eminent positions in the media, entertainment, and politics. They dubbed the government initiative “anti-Muslim.” Al Jazeera, too, appeared to be all riled up. The Muslim-favoring Apex court soon marched into action and stopped the process. However, the Uttar Pradesh state administration vigorously defended its decision to demand transparency from business owners who deal with food.
This is particularly interesting because the state government bodies asked all business owners to display their identities regardless of their religion. Still, only the Muslim faction was enraged. Eventually, media and social media got busy fighting over this directive and deciding if it was communal or not, and brought to the fore quite a shocking fact about Muslim business owners dealing in the food business.
As Sanatan Prabhat reports, numerous dhabhas (local eateries along national and state highways) in these states are owned by Muslims but display large sign boards with pictures of Hindu deities. The truth about them is known when Google Pay or PayTM makes payment. In Western Uttar Pradesh, on the Meerut, Gajrola, Gad Mukteshwar, and Mudpande Highway, there are numerous dhabhas with boards with names of Hindu deities, but the owners and workers inside them are Muslim.
One may ask why it is a problem if the owner or employees of a dhabha is Muslim. The report adds that a dhabha in Dehradun Dehat had served animal fat instead of ghee.
The above directive was introduced during the Hindu month of Sravan/Sawan. This is a holy month dedicated to the Hindu deity Shiva, and millions of his devotees restrict themselves to pure vegetarian food during this month. They don’t even use garlic and onion, let alone any animal meat, during this time. Thousands of Hindus walk barefoot along the highways to complete a religious journey known as the Kanwar Yatra, and they consume food from these roadside eateries. Now, what if they are fed food contaminated with animal meat, etc, during this penance? To give you a better equivalent, imagine feeding pork to your Muslim neighbor, Abdul. Can you picture a citywide riot by a thousand-strong Muslim crowd, the burning of vehicles, and the tearing down of shops?
In response, all too many Hindus will cry in a corner and blame themselves for not being more careful or not choosing some other dhabha. Now, an informed decision can only be made when you have the correct information. The hapless Hindu here is denied this information, and is left to choose from among misleading hotels and eateries.
Some Muslims all over the world demand that food shops serve halal meat, and mention “halal” clearly on their menu. Even giant fast-food chains that originated in the West have relented in front of an influential and adamant Islamic ecosystem. While they force the entire world to surrender to their choice of food, they find a similar demand from a Hindu in India to be outrageous, unconstitutional, and communal.
Now, one may opine that it is unfair to judge all Muslim-owned restaurants based on the wrongs done by one. Yet it was not just one establishment that was caught contaminating food items.
In the past couple of years, numerous cases of Muslim vendors were caught contaminating food items. India has seen it all, from Muslim cooks spitting on dough, mixing saliva in food items made for sale, picking fruits and vegetables from gutter water, to urinating on food. Again, the basic cooking codes followed by Muslims and Hindus are entirely different.
Even the most hygiene-conscious Muslims use halal products or blow into the food as a religious practice. A food item is known to achieve halal status when prepared following Islamic ways, and one can always transfer spit into the food while blowing. Why should a non-Muslim be misled into consuming such food?
Again, what is perplexing is how some Muslims use signboards flashing images of Hindu deities or open shops in the names of Hindu gods. These Muslims mock Hindu gods as stones and animals, but making money in the name of these very Hindu gods and running their Islamic homes is acceptable. How is this not haram? The answer lies in the fundamentals of al-taqiyya, the fabled Islamic art of deception.
This deception is not limited to a few states of India. Hundreds of thousands of Indian restaurants operating in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and other parts of the Western world are actually run by Pakistani and Bangladeshi immigrants. These owners are aware of the ill-repute their Islamic countries enjoy, and so, despite endorsing hate for India with a passion, they run their businesses with the blessing of the Indian name. Now, are they blowing in your food? One can only guess.

Certain states in the north. This is not a nationwide festival: few are
Problem here was India’s Supreme Court weighing in and ruling in favor of the muslims, banning the state governments from requiring them to display their ID. Note that if any Hindus tried setting up stalls outside mosques, they’d not just be boycotted, but physically threatened into leaving
To make things worse, Hindu temples are under the direct control of the Indian government, even though mosques, churches and gurdwaras all have their own nationwide autonomous bodies governing themselves. Money donated to Hindu temples gets diverted to non-Hindu activities, like Haj houses (where muslim pilgrims park en route to Mecca)
One reason I only feel comfortable visiting temples in the US, but not in India

Incidentally, Muslims of Pakistani and Indian extraction run Indian restaurants with Hindu sounding names here in USA, too This way, they fool Hindus into patronizing them. The food quality of these Muslim owned and run restaurants is terrible.

Of course it is not only American Hindus who are concerned about this issue. But also anyone who is vegetarian, or even keeping kosher!

For kosher, wouldn’t you specifically want a Kosher restaurant?

About the only way people can avoid this sort of thing is to prepare all their own food, or buy from someone they actually know. On a walking trip or in a car, the traveler is safer carrying along his lunch.
Even mozlums should not want to eat food which contained another person’s spit….blown upon or otherwise. They are so full of deceit, their saliva is probably fully contaminated with lies, and this spitting is to insult their customers.
Avoid mozlums; avoid anything they produce.

There was one video I once saw about a muslim laundromat in India where the guy fills his mouth w/ water, sprays the shirt that he’s ironing while pressing it. People should just buy a fabric steamer and do it themselves, if they can’t find any non-muslim to do it

In Western countries, one way of telling whether an “Indian” restaurant is muslim owned or not: check for either of two things:
➤ Halal certification stamp – would imply that it’s ???? owned
➤ Whether beef is on the menu
Either of these implies that it is muslim owned. (I go to a Nepalese restaurant in Loudoun county, VA, and there, they previously offered buffalo meat on the menu, but later withdrew it. Nepalese Hindus, unlike Indian ones, do have buffalo but not cow meat, whereas Indians have neither)
That said, I largely avoid Indian restaurants and alternate b/w Thai and Nepalese, if available, in order to avoid having de-facto Pakistani or Bangladeshi restaurants

Infidel,
I like the way you filter out the unwanted scum people/practices. That said, in Kerala a restaurant was targeted with violence for displaying that it serves non-halal food. Here is a link: https://www.quora.com/Who-brutally-beat-up-a-Hindu-lady-for-opening-a-non-Halal-restaurant-in-Kerala

Kerala is to India almost what Gaza is to Israel, except that unlike Gaza, it is politically a part of India. However, there are no real Hindus remaining there: everybody there is either muslim, or those w/ Hindu names are communists. Beef is a must in that state, even if it’s taboo in the rest of India. I used to think that Bengal would be the last communist state left standing, except that Kerala beat them to it. Also, a few weeks ago, the communist CM of Kerala appointed a foreign secretary, inspite of 2 things:
➤ Foreign relations is exclusively a power of the central, not the state government
➤ BJP government of India has consistently taken the Hamas side since October 7th, much to the chagrin of a lot of Hindus
If it was physically possible, I’d have liked Israel and Kerala to be swapped. Israel (including Judea, Samaria and Gaza), sans all the muslims, to be transported to the location of Kerala (yeah, it would still be an independent country on India’s border, just like Nepal), and Kerala to be put where Israel is. Then they can be at one w/ their Pali and other Arab neighbors

We Hindus are to blame for not coming on the streets & have our way. We non-muslims are to blame for letting the muslims have their way. Because we bend, they hope to rule. We should stop being nice & politically correct with them.

I was recently in Penang Malaysia as I lived there way back in the 1990s, loved the place and especially Little India where the food was outstanding however as I walked through Little India last Month I felt a difference and even as I walked into some places I previously knew so well I could feel a strange sort of vibe but I thought it was just my head now returning to a place I once new and loved.
Later that evening I was having Dinner with an old Chinese friend who was born there and I have known since 20 years and I mentioned this to him, he answered… Yes, he said, I understand as many Hindus have converted to islam in business ONLY, outside the home life, as it gives them special treatment, Taxes, Permits etc, with the islamic Government of Malaysia and so they let people think they are muslim whereas they are still Hindu at home.
Malaysia is becoming more and more islamic by the year, as it is now illegal for a non muslim to use the word allah in public as that word is for use by muslims only even though the word is Arabic and Malaysia is not an Arabic speaking country.
muslims really are stupid beyond words.

I’ve seen both arguments. I’ve seen one group of BJP supporters blame Hindus for not taking to the streets and acting like muslim thugs as an excuse for BJP governments pandering to them (such as having 300+ schemes exclusively for muslims, not even other minorities). Otoh, I have seen people who argue that Hindus should follow the rules of law, even if muslims don’t
What makes this worse are India’s woke courts, since India’s judiciary is self-selected from a “collegium” (back from the era of the Raj). To make things worse, they have plenty of contact w/ the Ivy League schools, and as a result, judicial activism is a bigger problem.
For instance, there is no popular demand for the recognition of gay marriage, but these judges wanna make it legal, and state governments have had to submit affidavits against such moves.
So when Hindus go for justice, be it these Kanwar yatris or anyone else, the “Justices” come out w/ ridiculous statements, like how one individually prefers muslim restaurants to Hindu ones. Somehow, cognitive dissonance is unheard of by these weirdos
Otoh, when Hindus do put together their voices for something, some of them tend to get easily distracted & hijacked into things like promoting vegetarianism, yoga, avoiding all vaccines, et al instead of sticking to the issue at hand. That’s what makes it harder for them to form a united voice against injustice from both the government and the courts

Same here. I think Costco’s offering is regional: you only get halal stuff in cities that have significant muslim populations. Nonetheless, I just avoid it

During the riot in 1998 in Jakarta (and other big cities in Indonesia), store owners (muslims I presume) put a sign at their front door saying “This place belongs to muslim(s)” hoping the rioters would not burn, destroy and loot their stores. Thus, their muslim identities might protect them from the rioters who must be muslims too. No matter what, it was very clear that the Chinese were the target, and the Chinese were always considered as non muslims because there were a very small percentage of Chinese who were muslims.
Muslims really have no courage to stand firm on their belief, they will flip flop based on situation, but it is Allah who tells them to do that in Quran, “you can hide your religion if you fear your life”. Yet, they call non muslims as liars and can not be trusted.

The muslims scream and demand halal in their food choices but I have yet to hear a Jew screaming and demanding Kosher in their food choices…. Weird huh ?.
In Schools across the UK today ALL Lunches are halal but was never thought of as being Kosher and Jews have lived in the UK long before the muslims arrived and started demanding we bow down to them.
A new Indian Restaurant opened in the town I live in and so I asked the Owner if his place was halal, big smile from him, yes Sir we are halal, then I will not eat there I told him as I walked away, he was shocked, just shocked…
