Aside from being one of the architects of October 7, Rafa’a Salameh was involved in “the infamous abduction of IDF soldier Gilad Shilat in 2006,” and took a “leadership role during the 2014 Gaza war.”
Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his commitment to eliminate the threat of Hamas on Saturday, July 13:
I would like to assure you that one way or another, we will reach the entire Hamas leadership.
At the start of the war, I set a rule: The Hamas murderers are dead men walking, from the first of them to the last. We will settle accounts with them. The elimination of senior Hamas leaders advances the achievement of all of our objectives: The elimination of Hamas, the release of all of our hostages and the removal of future threats from Gaza against Israel. It also advances our objectives regarding other sectors because it sends a deterrent message to all of Iran’s proxies – and to Iran itself.
Many of you are asking: ‘Then when will this war end?’ and my answer is clear and unequivocal: ‘It will end only when we achieve all of its goals, and not a moment before.’

“Rafa’a Salameh, Hamas Khan Yunis chief, was eliminated by IDF,” by Yonsh Jeremy Bob, Jerusalem Post, July 14, 2024:
Hamas Khan Yunis Brigade Commander Rafa’a Salameh was killed during a targeted strike by IDF fighter jets on Saturday in the al-Muwasi humanitarian area in southern Gaza, the IDF and Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) confirmed on Sunday after the Gaza terror group had confirmed the same.
Salameh is the third of Hamas’s five brigade commanders for all of Gaza to be killed over the course of the war, with two still at large.
The Hamas brigade commanders are the bedrock of the terror group’s field leadership much the same way that Israel has top commanders for its northern, central, and southern commands.
In addition, Salameh was known as being particularly close to Gaza Chief Yahya Sinwar and to Hamas military chief Mohammed Deif, who was targeted in the same Saturday strike, but whose fate is still uncertain.
Salameh was known to be one of the few intermediaries with Sinwar for hostage negotiations, giving his death a broader impact beyond military issues….

The problem is not necessarily these ‘leaders’. It is the thousands that have been utterly indoctrinated to follow in their footsteps and who spend years learning their ‘craft’ to become the next ‘leaders’ of all this homcidism, this massacre philosophy of jihad that defines and defies any change in Islam or muslims.

The only alternative is to leave “the faith”. Most–re: indoctrination, governance, and geography–can’t.

The decision to eradicate Hamas should have been made a long time ago. Like a disease. You do not wait to years to treat it, you do that as soon as possible. Now Hamas is at its strongest ( or at least was at its strongest) and the job is much tougher. Plus it looks like the entire population of Gaza is behind Hamas. That is proven by the scant information supplied by the population about hostages, tunnels, etc. And the cost will be higher for Israel’s brave IDF as well. But there cannot be any going back and top leadership must be targeted until they are dead. The Allies would never allow Nazis to control certain parts of Germany after 1945. Same for Hamas in Gaza. Eradicated. As completely as possible.

All that can be said is good riddance from the human race. There’s no excuse for those who started this war and refused to halt it, surrender their weapons, and release any remaining hostages.
I feel for the Gazan community trapped by these savages.

Despite being constantly told the majority of Muslims want to martyr themselves for Allah, given that most really do want to keep their heads attached to their necks, most Gazans did vote Hamas into power. What alternative did they have?
With no real alternative available to Gazans, your sympathy is understandable.
But, given that few–if any—Muslim women evacuated from a very Muslim Afghanistan in 2021 threw their headgear into the trash and “left the faith” upon arrival in Dar al Harb, the truth is: a lifelong indoctrination being so difficult to discard, most can’t and won’t.
Worse, the increasingly common elections of Muslims whose intention is not to integrate but to force Islamic law into the UK governance, to a degree far greater than in the U.S. at this time, is exremely worrisome.

I want to see Shin Bet go after the leaders of Hamas that are all living in Five Star Hotels and Mansions in Doha.

They have to put the squeeze on Qatar’s government in order to do that.

Qatar will never allow that to happen.
