Mistakes were made!

“Due to typo: Faeser accidentally bans Chanel’s YouTube channel instead of Islamists,” translated from “Wegen Tippfehler: Faeser verbietet statt Islamisten aus Versehen YouTube-Kanal von Chanel,” Apollo News, July 24, 2024 (thanks to Medforth):
Nancy Faeser actually wanted to send a signal against Islamism with her ban on the Islamic Center Hamburg (IZH), a terrorist-friendly proxy of the Iranian regime – especially after the controversial Compact raid. But the ministry apparently made an embarrassing mistake.
The ban order lists various social media channels that must also be shut down as part of the IZH ban. This includes the channel of the Islamic Center Berlin, a sister organization of the IZH in Hamburg. The officials and lawyers of the BMI who had prepared the order made a small but crucial mistake. Apparently, the URL of the YouTube channel of the Islamic Center Berlin was typed in by hand – and made a typo. An “N” was forgotten.
This has far-reaching legal consequences: Due to this one typo, the link that is supposed to define the YouTube channel to be banned no longer leads to the IZ Berlin – but to the channel of the famous fashion brand Chanel. The ban order now officially affects the French fashion company.
This is certainly a typo – but one that is now legally valid. The BMI has not yet commented on this faux pas.

This is simply an updated version of the “letter was put in the wrong envelope” in error.
