Once again, two leftist governments are scrutinizing Israel’s every move, and not those of jihad terrorists who threaten not only Israel, but also their own countries from within.
1/2 Canada firmly opposes the Government of Israel’s decision to approve new settlements in the West Bank. Unilateral actions, such as financially weakening the Palestinian Authority and expanding settlements is in contravention of international law.

The willful blindness from leftist regimes is moving the West toward its own demise.

France and Canada on Monday slammed Israel’s recognition of five new West Bank settlements, as well as sanctions against the Palestinian Authority that were approved at the end of last month.
In a statement, France’s Foreign Ministry said it “strongly condemns” the moves, as well as Wednesday’s declaration by the Civil Administration of the state’s appropriation of thousands of acres of land in the Jordan Valley.
The statement said that the moves were “extremely serious” because of their implications for the stability of the West Bank and the region.
“Israeli colonization of the Palestinian Territories, including East Jerusalem, constitutes a violation of international law,” France said.
“In addition to being a major obstacle to any just and lasting peace, this policy fuels tensions on the ground as violence perpetrated by settlers increases against the Palestinian population.”
Canada urged the government to reverse the decisions, saying the move was in contravention of international law…..

Both France and Canada have a mozlum problem which neither country is solving. Yet, they want to tell Israel how to conduct the nation’s business.
How would either nation take it if another country or two told them where and when they could build new houses for their citizens or how to treat terrorists?

Excellent points Somehistory. One might ask why after WWI, land was taken from the Germany and Austria or why most of Jutland and parts of Belgium have not been returned to Germany. I do not remember any time in history that the victorious nations, especially those who defended their own existence, that were expected to return the territories won and told not to build on the captured land. Eupen is a very prosperous city as are others taken from Germany such as Alces Lorraine. This double standard is distasteful and above all immoral.

the area has not been WEST BANK since 1967 and the name was a construct which forced TRANSJORDAN to change its name as it straddled both banks when ILLEGALLY OCCUPIED that area. Since both FATAH and HAMAS include all of ISRAEL as their territory, Israel is using state land to populate with Israelis and build better borders.

As a Canadian,it bothers me very much what Trudeau is backing. He’s an islamophile who runs Canada. He should be given a vote of non-confidence and be sent back to his business of selling the Trudeau Pots and Pans ( I was shocked to see these pots in Walmart with the Trudeau name on it.)
