Even in Canada: University professor laments that Trump wasn’t murdered, ‘Damn, so close. Too bad.’

Of course, many leftists have openly exposed their evil perspective on social media with regard to Donald Trump after Saturday’s assassination attempt:

This went on before the shooting as well. Eight months ago, Democratic Representative Dan Goldman repeated the common Democrat rhetoric that Donald Trump was “destructive to our democracy,” adding that Trump should be “eliminated.”

The hatred of Donald Trump is also palpable among leftists north of the border, perhaps as much as in the US. In both countries, it is fueled by the leftist media. One particularly stood out in Canada, as it went viral on X.

The post was particularly abhorrent coming from a university professor. It wasn’t surprising, however, considering how campuses have become hotbeds of leftist indoctrination. What was refreshing was the fury of the backlash against the X post by University of British Columbia professor Karen Pinder. It didn’t take long for her post to go viral, with innumerable calls for her firing. CTV News reveals that Pinder is being investigated: “UBC investigating professor who posted ‘so close, too bad’ after Trump assassination attempt,” by Lisa Steacy, CTV News, July 14, 2024:

The University of British Columbia is investigating a now-deleted social media post from one of its faculty members that appeared to be wishing an assassination attempt on Donald Trump had been successful.

Dr. Karen Pinder, a professor in the faculty of medicine, posted on X Saturday evening – soon after a bullet grazed the former president and presumptive candidate at a rally in Pennsylvania. One person in the crowd was killed, and two other people were critically injured. The shooter was shot dead by a Secret Service sniper.

“Damn, so close. Too bad,” screenshots of Pinder’s account show. Then, in response to reply wishing the shooter had better aim, Pinder said, “What a glorious day it could have been.”

Pinder’s account has since been deleted.

But screenshots were copious.

A University of British Columbia spokesperson issued a brief statement to CTV News:

The university is aware of Dr. Pinder’s post and looking into the matter. The university does not condone violence of any kind.

Incitement to violence, including even murder, has become commonplace among leftists, while they accuse Trump and his supporters of what they themselves are doing.

In such an atmosphere, conservatives are the ones threatened. As conservatives continue to speak the truth, they will continue to be accused of fostering hate, even as they endure the threat of violence. A lie repeated often enough becomes the truth; this was the law of propaganda attributed to the Nazi Minister of Propaganda, Joseph Goebbels, and the left practices it today.

An ABC News article entitled ‘No Blame?’ ABC News finds 54 cases invoking ‘Trump’ in connection with violence, threats, alleged assaults states: “President Donald Trump insists he deserves no blame for divisions in America,” suggesting that Trump is to blame for the left’s violence, when only the left is to blame for what leftists do. Joe Biden is just as upsetting to the right as Donald Trump is to the left, but you don’t see right-wingers attacking people while invoking Biden’s name. There is something intrinsically wrong with the left, as they blame the right for their violent tendencies, and take no responsibility for their own actions.

After the left succeeded in severely restricting the freedom of speech using the spurious concept of “hate speech,” certain elements of the left are now accusing the right of shutting down the freedom of speech in order to cover for their own incitement to violence.

  3. And many *news* outlets are slamming the things Mr. Trump’s supporters are saying as ‘inflammatory.’ It’s okey to say these things quoted above, but not okay to say *why* they are being said.

    • “Not properly appointed” — Many people do not believe the mail in guy won the 2020 election — next tactic may be Obama, Clintons agreeing he did not win, therefore Trump actually won, so now he is not eligible to run again. Anything is possible in clown world.

Their hatred for Trump runs so deep that they are not joking when they say such things as, “what a glorious day this could have been.” What a truly awful thing to say about innocent person who had just survived an assassination attempt. And it’s we Trump supporters that are supposed to be the deplorable’s.

  6. Good points. It’s not just offensive to Trump himself, but also to the man who died, and to the two people who were critically injured, and to anyone else who has been killed or injured in assassinations or assassination attempts, regardless of political or religious leanings.

    Dr. Karen Pinder may not be quite as ugly to look at as Rashida Tlaib, but she’s every bit as ugly on the inside. Her university should terminate her employment there.

    I am a straight, white, male, MAGA Republican – and Navy veteran.

    I very strongly support Pres. Trump.

    So, according to Hillary Clinton, I am a bona fide “deplorable” x 6.

    That being said, if Sleepy Joe had gotten shot instead of Pres. Trump, I would want him to make a full and speedy recovery.
