Sweden should be happy. This is a built in solution. When a criminal migrate leaves to go back to their home country they should be denied re-admission to Sweden. Simple. “You have forfeited your right to live in Sweden due to your arrests, convictions, jail time, etc. and you should stay in your home country. And you will be jailed until you can pay for your one way return ticket.”

I worked on an insurance program subsidized by the federal government for the children of the working poor. The families’ income had to be too high for Medicaid and too low to be able to afford the full price of insurance for the kids. Every summer we would get questions from the insured families about what health services would be covered in Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq while they were visiting relatives in the Middle East. I was surprised that poor working families with several children could afford to travel to the Middle East.

I really don’t understand why so called “asylum seekers” are allowed to go back and forth as they please, especially if they live on welfare, and more especially if they’ve been convicted of a crime and spent time in prison. In 2024 one can’t move for things around us controlled by networked computers. Yet, authorities seem unable to use all those computers to determine which “asylum seekers” no longer need protection. The same goes for Germany.
They’ve got Swedish citizenship, one may say. That should be a privilege, not a right, and revokable at any time. And before they came to Sweden, what citizenship did they have? Their holiday destinations may provide a clue.
