Darmanin’s remarks suggest that the target was the Paris Olympics, and thus that this was a jihad plot, as both the Islamic State and Hamas have called for jihad massacres at the Paris Olympics. Yet neither Reuters nor AP specifies what kind of terrorists these were. Will concealing their motivating ideology from the public make them go away?

BRUSSELS, July 26 (Reuters) – Seven people who were detained in Belgium on Thursday on suspicion of terrorism after police raided houses remain in custody on Friday, the state prosecutor’s spokesperson said.
A judge will decide later on Friday whether they will be charged, the spokesperson said.Belgian media reported that investigators did not want to take any risks so close to the Olympic Games in Paris. But the prosecutor’s office did not respond to a Reuters’ question about a possible connection to the Games, whose opening ceremony will take place on Friday evening.
“(The detainees) are suspected, among other things, of preparing a terrorist attack. The specific targets of the attack had not yet been determined,” the prosecutor said in a statement on Thursday….

BRUSSELS — On the eve of the Olympics opening ceremony in Paris, France’s interior minister thanked Belgium Thursday for a string of raids that led to the detention of seven people for questioning over suspected terrorist activities.
The Belgian Federal prosecutor’s office said that the people detained during 14 raids in towns and cities across the country “are suspected of participating in the activities of a terrorist group, of financing terrorism and preparing a terrorist attack.”
Spokesperson Arnaud d’Oultremont told The Associated Press that investigators had “not yet identified the suspects’ concrete objectives.”
While the targets of the suspected plot were not immediately clear, French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin thanked “our Belgian friends who, today, led a judicial operation to protect us.”
He said French authorities were waiting for more details about the raids and said no arrests were made in France as part of the Belgian operation….

Seven “persons” of no distinct description. But the people …”persons”….who keep up with such things as terror attacks, terror threats, terror groups, would say these “seven” are mozlums who wish to do as they have been threatening to do.
Communications have been sent to several Israelis who will be at the games, inviting them to their own funerals …sent by mozlums.
Pretending that these ones could be any ‘seven persons’ won’t keep mozlums from murdering people, nor will it make islam go away.

In the meanwhile, it has already been widely reported on Belgian televison that at least one Chechen is involved and a few Central Asians (most likely Tajiks / Uzbeks) and that in all probability ISIS-K Is involved. So the “persons of no distinct description” does no longer apply at this stage.

Belgian police on Thursday arrested seven people suspected of supporting the Islamic State group and plotting a “terrorist attack,” prosecutors said.
Almost all of the suspects are ethnic Chechens, and three of them possess Belgian nationality, prosecutors said in a statement.
“The exact target of the planned attack has not yet been determined,” they said.
Police, backed by elite units, raided nine addresses in several towns in western Belgium in an operation led by an investigating judge who specializes in terrorism cases.
The judge will decide later if there is sufficient evidence to charge the suspects, the statement said. “Possible charges are attempted terrorist assassination, participation in the activities of a terrorist group and preparation of a terrorist attack,” it said.
Prosecutors added that all seven arrested “are suspected of preparing a terrorist attack in Belgium.” They all “belong to a group of strong supporters of the IS.”
A spokesman for the federal prosecutors office, Eric Van Duyse, told AFP that “they apparently intended to target an institution located in Belgium” and had been “actively searching for weapons.”
The police raids took place in Ghent and the smaller towns of Roeselare, Menen, Ostend and Wevelgem.
The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for suicide bombings in Belgium on March 22, 2016, that targeted Brussels’ airport and the capital’s metro, killing 32 people and wounding hundreds.
Those bombings occurred months after the November 2015 attacks in Paris that were planned by the same IS cell and that killed 130 people.
Chechnya, a republic in Russia’s North Caucasus region, has a predominantly Muslim population.
It is ruled by pro-Kremlin strongman Ramzan Kadyrov, who supports Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine and who has sent his militia there to fight.

Many Arabs in Europe are simply waiting for the “Kill” order. The Olympics is a perfect excuse to get your machine guns in order and your explosives ready. Why not? These people do not work, or build a life or raise a family or integrate with the Euro country they live in. They are there for the welfare and benefits only. And they are a depressing bunch. Jihad brings them to life. “We love Death” is not a lie for them.
