Despite boasting of being center-left under Prime Minister Robert Golob, Slovenia has a hopelessly leftist party in power — an eco-socialist and democratic socialist political party.
In January, the country was described by the Center For Eastern Studies as “the vanguard of Europe’s criticism of Israel,” while Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East and is fighting for its very existence.
The Maribor synagogue — “one of the more important monuments of Jewish cultural heritage within the Slovenian territory, and also one of the older preserved synagogues within the Central European area,” describes a history and ongoing pattern of antisemitism in Slovenia. Such an atmosphere has created ripe conditions for disruptive pro-Hamas activists in the country.
Slovenia’s move to recognize a Palestinian state comes after Spain, Norway and Ireland did the same. These countries do not recognize what the jihad is all about, either in the past or currently.
Golob, like so many others, is either willfully blind, antisemitic or completely ignorant of the facts on the ground (or all of those things at once). Hamas is intentionally using Palestinians as human shields in its quest to present Israel as the aggressor in its campaign to destroy the Jewish state.
“Slovenia recognizes a Palestinian state, and new fighting flares in central Gaza,” Associated Press, June 4, 2024:
Slovenia is the latest European country to recognize a Palestinian state. The country’s parliament voted Tuesday in support of the move, following in the recent steps of Spain, Ireland and Norway.
Slovenia’s prime minister has said he sped up efforts to recognize a State of Palestine in reaction to Israel’s expanding invasion of the southern Gaza city of Rafah. The monthlong offensive has largely cut off the flow of food, medicine and other supplies to Palestinians who are facing widespread hunger.
In central Gaza, the Israeli military said Tuesday that its troops backed by airstrikes have launched a ground operation into the Bureij refugee camp. Local hospital officials say a strike in the urban camp killed 11 Palestinians, including three children and a woman.
The Israeli airstrikes and ground offensives across the Gaza Strip come as international mediators wait for Israel and Hamas to respond to a new cease-fire and hostage release proposal, according to Qatar, which has played a key role in negotiations alongside Egypt and the United States….

Palestine does not exist as a country
How about acknowledging Israels right to exist and live in peace from violent Islamists. It must be stressful for Jewish people in Israel being surrounded by hostile neighbours.

Of course. Slovenia is a bad country, but quite little ( 2 million people)
It is easy to boycott it

God’s wrath will now be upon Slovenia unless the people can quickly take this govt down. The vehicle of the wrath to come is apparent and setting up now as God knows the end from the beginning.
It’s not a question about policy’s good or bad inside Israel like in any nation, but right to God’s land. On this Israel is 100% right and fakestine is a tooth fairy.

Prime Minister Robert Golob certainly looks like a leftist.
Long, stringy, unkempt hair – looks like he just came back from three days of Woodstock circa 1969.
