The state of “Palestine” is already recognized by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and fully embraced as a member nation. This is the reason that the OIC is said to have 57 member nations instead of 56. And now an upcoming conference is intended to spread a new wave of propaganda against Israel.
“International forum on June 9 to mobilize media support for recognition of Palestine State,” Saudi Gazette, June 5, 2024:
RIYADH — An international media forum aimed at bolstering the drive for the global recognition of an independent Palestine State will be held on Sunday, June 9.
The Assistant Secretariat for Institutional Communication at the Muslim World League and the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA-OIC) will jointly organize remotely the event titled: “Media and the Palestinian right: Practical steps to build initiatives to recognize Palestine.”
The participants at the forum include officials of the news agencies from Islamic countries, international media unions, representatives of international media, a number of international organizations, and diplomatic, cultural and religious figures.
The purpose of the forum of the Muslim World League and OIC is to strategize about how best to spin effective propaganda in the media which would serve to further delegitimize the Jewish State. Israel’s defensive wars of 1948, 1967 and 1973 tell the truth about the real intent of Islamic countries when it comes to Israel.
Taqiyya requires the faithful to be deceitful at times of weakness. The history of Shiites in their conflict with Sunnis is a history of the downtrodden. They have been the underdogs in Islamic history, and have had to protect both their communities and their faith from being overrun by the more numerous Sunnis. Taqiyya emerged as a response.
Taqiyya offers a license to violate the strict rules of the faith in cases of extreme pressure or threat of extinction – something not unusual in Sunni-Shiite history. The doctrine allows dissimulation in the service of self-preservation, practiced by the faithful.
The West is now weak, as is glaringly evident under the leadership of Joe Biden. America was the world’s primary defender of Western values. The cornerstone of Western values is the freedom of speech, which has been significantly eroded under the umbrella of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), and during years of the use of the “Islamophobia” battering ram. Over the last two decades and more, to discuss the history of Islam — including conquest, and violent and abusive doctrines justified from the Qur’an and Hadiths — was deemed “Islamophobic.” To maneuver under the cover of darkness is a powerful strategy; stealthy Islamic supremacists used it well. America and most of the West now finds itself increasingly subverted.
With Israel’s war against Hamas, the West once again collectively acts as though it has forgotten the history of Islam, as well as with the previous attempts to annihilate Israel. Even in the present, the world does not crack down adequately on Iran and its proxies, including Hamas, which continues to use human shields and openly declares its intention of obliterating Israel, as well as of achieving a global caliphate. Support for Hamas is high in the West even after it demonstrated on October 7 how barbaric it is willing to be in the way of jihad. But none of the facts about Hamas appear to matter to the Western mainstream media. They will eagerly disseminate propaganda that will be spread from the OIC-Muslim World League International Forum. The same, tired talking points will be pushed at this forum, while media everywhere will continue to purvey propaganda as truth:
For his part, Yasser Al-Ghamdi, director general of content at the Muslim World League, said that the forum would put forward practical initiatives aimed at employing the media more effectively in a way fostering the rights of the Palestinian people as stipulated in international laws, including recognition of their independent state, and confronting media discourses that are hostile to these legitimate human rights, taking advantage of the current supportive global situation.
The Palestinians want Israel gone from the River to the Sea. The “resistance” has nothing to do with statehood, an opportunity that was offered to the Palestinians many times, and which they rejected each time. The United Nations has now become a puppet of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, so expect even greater pressure to be put on Israel.
