Josep Borrell has been the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy since December 1, 2019. In that time, he has done almost as much to harm Israel as Francesca Albanese and Ken Roth. His latest comment on the Jewish state was about the hostage rescue, which he did not hail, but instead described it as “another massacre” and a “bloodbath.” More on Borrell, who appears far more interested in condemning Israel at every turn than in attending to European matters, as he is supposed to, can be found here: “EU’s top diplomat obsessed with Israel: a policy fixation,” by Itamar Eichner, Ynet News, June 10, 2024:
The European Union’s foreign policy chief, Spaniard Josep Borrell, has an obsession: the State of Israel. Despite Europe’s own challenges, Borrell seems almost exclusively focused on Israel.
Since March of this year, Borrell has tweeted 127 times about the Israeli-Palestinian issue—twice as many as on the war in Ukraine (67), an issue directly affecting Europe. On the rise of the pro-Putin regime in Georgia, Borrell has tweeted only seven times. Concerning the rest of the world, he’s posted 71 tweets—nearly as many as those on Israel alone.
A quick glance at his X (formerly Twitter) account Sunday shows his lack of engagement with European matters. While far-right parties in several countries made significant gains in the European Parliament, creating real upheaval in Europe, Borrell remained silent. Instead, he dedicated two separate tweets to the rescue operation and what he called “another massacre” in Gaza.
The rise of right-wing parties, and their recent electoral successes in France, by the National Rally of Marine Le Pen, and in Germany, by the Alternative für Deutschland’s Alice Weidel, as well as the previous success of Fratelli d’Italia’s Giorgia Meloni in Italy, reflects the growing alarm of voters over the massive influx of Muslims into their countries. Yet Borrell has not had a thing to say about this matter; he shows no interest in what is pushing so many European voters rightward, and no recognition of the growing anger at the supra-national EU for trying to force its constituent nation-states to take in large numbers of these impossible-to-integrate Muslim economic migrants.
There is a consensus in Jerusalem that Borrell currently spearheads all anti-Israel decisions within the European Union and calls for sanctions against Israel. Nearly every day, he condemns Israel or attempts to pass resolutions against it in EU institutions. Without the opposition from Israel’s friends in the EU, such as Hungary, the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany, the EU might have already passed sanctions against Israel. Foreign policy decisions in the EU require consensus, which Israel’s allies prevent….
A review of Borrell’s recent post on X reveals an obsession with Israel: he seems to view it as the source of all global problems. Empathy for Israeli suffering is hardly present in his posts….
So far, Borrell’s attempts to persuade the EU to adopt innumerable anti-Israel resolutions have been foiled by Israel’s allies within the EU, including Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Hungary. These resolutions require unanimous support, so with these four countries resolutely pro-Israel, Borrell has not had his way, except on one resolution condemning Israeli “settler violence.” But he keeps trying. An obsessive antisemite, he can’t help himself.
There is good news, however, in the offing. On October 1, a little more than three months from now, Josep Borrell’s term comes to an end. For supporters of Israel, his removal can’t come fast enough. Possibly the rise of the anti-Muslim immigrant parties in France and Germany, joining those already in power in Italy and — in a coalition with other parties – in the Netherlands, will lead the EU to choose as a successor to Borrell someone not obsessed with punishing Israel. That successor should be determined, rather, to rescue Europe from its own folly: the mass migration of Muslims that, if not halted and reversed, could lead to a Great Replacement that within several decades might end the civilization of Europe as we know it.

Jungle Josep is a (naughty) child of moral relativism. He would not dare to talk about the real issues with which the EU is faced like the catastrophy of following the US on its military warfare on Russia which amounts to genocide of the Ukrainian people, and we hear not tue slightest protest that the US is waging economic warfare on Germany and the rest of the EU based on the Wolfovitz Doctrine. We hear no word of the US exposing the European nations to the worst security danger since WWII!
The Russian sanctions are nothing but EU economic suicide at the order of the US! The US has destroyed the European energy infrastructure with its sanctions and by physically blowing up the Northstream I and II pipelines!
Did the US do similar self harm of its economy to annoy Russia? No, the US imports not natural gas but uranium from Russia and that import has gone up and not down!
Jungle Joseph is not only an antisemitic by convenience, he is a traitor of the EU and its people!
The EU used to be about cooperation to enhance economic growth, prosperity and increase security in the EU members. With people like Jungle Josep the EU institutions have turned against their own people and their core interests! That a decent Israel policy falls at the wayside cannot surprise anyone!
Jungle Josep and his friends make us believe that the EU is democratic but they take their orders from the World Economic Forum and its Fascist/Feudalist owners.
