Riffing on the Prime Minister’s motto of “total victory” against Hamas, Gantz claimed that “Netanyahu prevents us from progressing to real victory.” As a result, he said, “we are leaving the emergency government today with a heavy but whole heart.”
A Guardian report stated that Bezalel Smotrich slammed Gantz, saying “there is no less stately act than resigning from a government in time of war” as “the kidnapped are still dying in the Hamas tunnels.” Gantz resigning indeed sends a message of division to Israel’s worst enemies — not only the jihadists, but the International Court of Justice, the International Criminal Court, and globalists calling for ceasefire, not to mention to manipulators in the Biden administration.
The Minister of Finance, Itamar Ben-Gvir, who also serves as minister in the Defense Ministry, requested Gantz’s seat on the war cabinet. Instead, the war cabinet, which consisted of Netanyahu, Gantz and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, was dissolved. “Netanyahu is now expected to hold consultations about the Gaza war with a small group of ministers, including Defence Minister Yoav Gallant and Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer.” Israel Defense Forces said that “as far as it was concerned, it would not affect the chain of command,” which is likely true, since Netanyahu has not wavered in his determination to destroy Hamas and now is free from a key opposition player, Benny Gantz.

The move was widely expected following the departure of Benny Gantz, a centrist former military chief. Gantz’s absence from the government increases Netanyahu’s dependence on his ultra-nationalist allies, who oppose a cease-fire. That could pose an additional challenge to the already fragile negotiations to end the eight-month war in Gaza.
Government officials said Netanyahu would hold smaller forums for sensitive war issues, including with his security Cabinet, which includes far-right governing partners who oppose cease-fire deals and have voiced support for reoccupying Gaza.
The war Cabinet was formed in the early days of the war, when Gantz, then an opposition party leader and Netanyahu rival, joined the coalition in a show of unity following the Oct. 7 attack on southern Israel by Hamas. He demanded that a small decision-making body steer the war, in a bid to sideline far-right members of Netanyahu’s government. It was made up of three members — Gantz, Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant….

Israel should all band together inside the government, they should not state their plans they should just end Hamas in Gaza and not worry about the population especially the women and children. Sounds cold right…that is until the IDF is staring down a barrel that a woman or child has pointed at them because that’s what Hamas uses them for, trains them for…no one is innocent in Gaza and the sooner people understand that it will be better for Israel.

Except of course they are being held back by Biden, Obama, and the whole US appeasement factory. This has lead to countless unnecessary deaths, and injuries of Israeli soldiers. Gantz can only be doing this for as much political damage to Israel as possible. Gantz as former AG had been targeting Religious Netanyahu for any type of prosecution to destroy Netanyahu’s career.

Gsntz’s decision is unfortunate. The reasons for which he joined the war cabinet after October 7th still exist, and his “real victory” vs Netanyahu’s “total victory” would be a distinction w/o a difference. Unless by “real victory”, he’s talking about “hearts & minds”, which don’t exist in case of the mohammedans. What his move does is encourage the Nazis in DC aka the Democrats to try and affect regime change in Jerusalem just like they did in Kyiv in 2014
