Germany: Islamic State ‘refugees’ planned to attack liberal Berlin mosque, and monitored Jews

The flow of unvetted refugees from the Middle East and Africa has for a considerable period been recognized to have been infiltrated by jihadis. Given their goals, why wouldn’t they do this? But the refugees flowing in from Ukraine have not been known to present the same level of concern. Nonetheless, “a liberal, women-led Berlin mosque known as a haven for gay Muslims was a target for an Islamic State terror cell in Germany” that originated in Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan. They made their way into Germany from Ukraine. Being gay brings the death penalty or severe punishment under the Sharia, so it’s no surprise that a gay-friendly mosque would be targeted by jihadis who deem its attendees to be apostates.

Unvetted immigration poses obvious risks. One can only imagine the numbers of jihadis and criminals who have been slipping through Western borders. With a wide-open border in America, it’s a free-for-all for them.

The Ibn-Rushd-Goethe Mosque allows men and women to pray together side by side, and is no stranger to threats. It was condemned in a fatwa from Egypt in 2017, and slammed by Islamic authorities from Turkey within days of its opening. The mosque is also open to all Muslims of any sect but it “rejects visitors wearing the burqa or the niqab, which it views as a “political statement.”

So while Islamic supremacists and jihadists adhere to the letter of the text, the Ibn-Rushd-Goethe Mosque does not, and is persecuted for it. Yet the misguided among infidels preach far and wide that Islam is a religion of peace.

A liberal, women-led Berlin mosque known as a haven for gay Muslims was a target for an Islamic State terror cell in Germany, prosecutors say as the group goes to court.

A group of seven immigrants arrested in 2023 across Germany and the Netherlands will soon see their day in court, and German prosecutors allege before their incarceration the men prepared to build bombs and researched targets including a liberal mosque, Jewish citizens, and a fair.

The men, who originated in Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan came to Germany from Ukraine as part of the refugee flow that immediately followed the Russian invasion in 2022. One of the group is alleged to have led an Islamic State terrorist cell in Kyiv, Ukraine, and some of the group are said to have already killed in Ukraine, including by beating. Members of the group have allegedly had contact with Islamic State figures elsewhere in the world who launched successful terror attacks, or who were arrested while in the planning phase.

Now the German prosecutor claims this group of seven discussed the liberal Ibn-Rushd-Goethe Mosque in Berlin as a target in July 2022. They are also alleged to have monitored Jews to learn their daily routines. Die Welt, a German broadsheet which claims to have seen the prosecutor’s court documents, notes the group had experimented with building a suitcase bomb, some had received military training from the Islamic State, and that members of the group were already under unfulfilled deportation orders…..
