Jews and Christians are given the opportunity to keep their respective faiths–as dhimmis. Muslims, being too busy praying 5 times a day, need slave laborers.
Others, polytheists (and atheists like me) are offered only Islam or death.

My understanding:
Yes, in addition to the humiliations a dhimmin must endure (forced off a sidewalk for a Muslim to pass, performing labor Muslims do not want do, etc.), there is as you add: the tax (jizya): historically levied on dhimmis, that is, protected non-Muslim subjects of a state governed by Islamic law.
To my knowledge, a dhimmi needs never convert for the rest of their life so long as they pay the jizya.

If the non-muslim/islamic people of the world want to survive and prosper they will need to defeat and or control islam. Islam has NO PROBLEM destroying and KILLING any and all non-islamic followers that they can’t enslave.. So protesting on behalf of islam is a DEATH WISH upon yourself.
