Biden’s Gaza pier is a perfect metaphor for his administration. It cost hundreds of millions of dollars, after months of work, it had to be towed for repairs after it couldn’t handle actually being on the water, it doesn’t seem to have actually delivered aid to anyone and now it’s on track for turning into scrap metal.
It’s like Bidenomics but in pier form.
The $230 million temporary pier that the U.S. military built on short notice to rush humanitarian aid to Gaza has largely failed in its mission, aid organizations say, and will probably end operations weeks earlier than originally expected.
Weeks earlier?
Biden’s people were talking about transitioning it to a permanent facility that would act as a Gaza port that Israel would not be able to interfere with.
Now we spent the current estimate of $230 million (previous estimates were over $300 million) plus an estimated $20 million or so on repairs, for it to be in use for 10 days.
In the month since it was attached to the shoreline, the pier has been in service only about 10 days. The rest of the time, it was being repaired after rough seas broke it apart, detached to avoid further damage or paused because of security concerns.
Because some of the terrorists that the Biden administration had been protecting were shelling the pier.
Despite the weather-related delays and other problems, there has been one bright spot: The pier has not yet been hit in an attack.
Yet.

Maybe they can airlift it to lake Michigan in Chicago and build bunkers on it to house the “newcomers ” there what we use to call illegal aliens that currently flood the sanctuary city . They could name the barge ,ship ,floating flop house the Hunter Hotel.. Hand out free cell phones, mopeds , debit cards , and mail in voter registration cars with fake IDs .Sounds like a good democratic plan .

Money if it taxpayers money is not real in the democratic official mind It is only an idea a theory in their mind .Look at the billions of dollars of weapon and equipment left in Afghanistan after the pull out. Look at the 60 billion dollars of aid sent to the Ukraine every 3 months no oversite or strings attach for an endless war. There is a reason that no pier was built at that location before, but leave it to Biden’s people to build one and make it work, for a lot of taxpayer monies, to add to his long list of failures!

Well- when the loading dock was in the planning, I said it was like a Potempin Village, all show and no substance. The pier also kept trying to run to Ashdod- a metaphor for looking for a better place to be. The pier was not hit- kudos to IDF. It would all be funny if it were not so stupid as no famine existed in the first place, and the humanitarian aid in the way it was provided, only prolonged the war by feeding Hamas.

There have been instances in the past where politicians took taxpayer’s hard-earned money, which the government makes everyone pay, to build bridges, roads-to-nowhere, and even airports no one uses, right here in the U.S.
It’s called *pork* and Mr. Grassley would point out much of the wasted spending on things that were built…or partially built…to further the political goals and power of the politicians who originated from those states where such useless things were located.
The funds were spent so the people back home would continue to vote for the guy/gal who spent the money.
The same things apply to this useless pier in the ME. It was all to get votes so the biden/bo gang could stay in power. They want so badly to get all of the mozlums to harvest votes from all of the afghans and others who can’t write a word of English, and this was all for show….to entice the mozlums to vote democ rat.
