Susan Sarandon, the actress and political thinker, has just outdone herself. No longer content just to chant “from the river to the sea/Palestine will be free,” which if rightly understand means the eradication of Israel and its replacement by a 23rd Arab state, she has now taken to denying the atrocities carried out by 3,000 Hamas operatives on October 7. She claims that there were “no rapes” of Israeli girls and women on that date. Her latest befuddled malevolence toward the Jewish state can be found here: “Actress Susan Sarandon denies Hamas committed rape, justifies ceasefire rejections,” by Danielle Greyman-Kennard, Jerusalem Post, April 29, 2024:
Susan Sarandon says October 7 atrocities and rapes are a myth.
While some stories that emerged from social media may have come from untrustworthy sources, everything reported by Israeli media was substantiated. The rapes have certainly been proven real.pic.twitter.com/9SbNNrNkPT

Actress Susan Sarandon was confronted by social media user Keren Picker in a video shared four days ago, where she denied Hamas’s October 7 atrocities and defended the terror group’s decision to reject multiple ceasefire agreements.
As the singer and songwriter of the song ‘Ceasefire Now,’ do you know Hamas rejected every ceasefire agreement since October 7?” Picker asked Sarandon.
In response to Picker’s question, Sarandon answered “Do you know why?”
“Why?” Picker prompted.
“Because they’re terrible deals,” Sarandon finally answered. “Palestine is not Hamas.”
First, “Palestine” — that is, the Palestinian Arabs in Gaza and the West Bank — overwhelmingly support the atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7. In the latest public opinion poll, 82% of them declared their support for Hamas. So when Sarandon tries to distinguish the “peaceful” people of “Palestine” from Hamas, she is ignoring that support.
Secondly, these proposals for an exchange of Israeli hostages for Palestinian prisoners, and in addition, Israel agreeing to a ceasefire, were not “terrible deals” offered by Israel, but in the words of Secretary State Antony Blinken, “extraordinarily generous.”
Those deals offered by Israel, and summarily rejected by Hamas, included the following:
The deals Hamas rejected included the March rejected ceasefire agreement, which would have seen 400 Palestinian security prisoners and terrorists in exchange for 40 hostages kidnapped on October 7 and a 6-week ceasefire. The hostages released under the agreement would have also fallen under humanitarian categories: women, children under 19, elderly over 50, and the sick, an anonymous official told Reuters.
Hamas has insisted that a hostage release would come at the cost of a complete and permanent ceasefire, despite officials from the terror group promising to repeat October 7 – a mass terror attack in which more than 1200 people were killed and a further 253 kidnapped.
Israel cannot possibly agree to a “permanent ceasefire” with Hamas. That would leave Hamas with four intact battalions in Rafah, as well as 4000-5000 operatives, not organized but still lethal, in northern Gaza. With those battalions still standing, Hamas will present itself to the world as the “victorious” party that the IDF failed to destroy, as it had promised to do. Hamas will then regroup, take on new members, and as it has promised, will attempt to repeat the October 7 attack “again and again.”
“We know that all of those myths about babies in ovens and the rapes…” Sarandon continued while Picker interrupted and insisted “It’s not a myth. You’re denying, you’re denying the terror actions made on October 7th to so many innocent civilians.”
It is unclear what source Sarandon relied on for her claim, as the UN’s Secretary-General on Sexual Violence in Conflict, Pramila Patten, found that there was substantial evidence to conclude that victims, as well as hostages and survivors of October 7, were sexually abused and raped. Additionally, the Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel interviewed surviving victims and witnesses and concluded that terrorists forced families to watch their loved ones being sexually assaulted at gunpoint. Released hostages have also testified that Hamas sexually abused the women and men held captive.
Only a complete kook, which is what Sarandon has become, would deny that rapes were carried out by Hamas on October 7. The rapists themselves took videos of themselves committing rapes; they were proud of what they had done. There were also Israeli survivors who, from their hiding places, both heard and in some cases saw the rapes being committed. Some Israelis who survived were also made by the rapists to watch the rapes of their family members. But why should Susan Sarandon pay attention to all that? She “knows” there were no rapes on October 7; the charge was concocted as part of a campaign by those diabolical Zionists to blacken the image of the “resistance.”
After listening to Picker addressing the October 7 attack, Sarandon proceeded to question, “What about the 35,000 people that have been killed?”…
Yes, what about them? Of those 35,000 — an unverifiable number provided by the Hamas-run Ministry of Health — the IDF believes that about 15,000 were Hamas and PIJ operatives. That means there have been 20,000 civilians who have been killed in Gaza. That is unfortunate, but it is a result of Hamas embedding its fighters, rocket launchers, and weapons among civilian structures, including schools, office buildings, mosques, and hospitals. Hamas always and everywhere tries to increase the number of civilian casualties, as part of its propaganda war against Israel. Meanwhile, the IDF makes colossal efforts to minimize civilian deaths. It warns civilians away from areas, and buildings, about to be targeted. These warnings in Gaza have been conveyed by dropping 14 million leaflets, sending six million messages, and making five million phone calls, all to urge Palestinians to flee from possible harm. Hamas has been known to shoot Palestinians trying to leave; it wants them to remain and be killed or wounded. When people in northern Gaza, following IDF warnings, tried to flee south, dozens were shot dead on the main north-south corridor of Salah al-Din Street, and their bodies left on the road as a warning to others who might try to flee. Nonetheless, 900,000 people in northern Gaza did ultimately flee south of the Wadi Gaza, aware from IDF warnings that the north was about to become the first major battlefield of the war.
Sarandon was forced to apologize in late 2023, after she claimed that spikes in antisemitic attacks were allowing Jews to finally “get… a taste of what it is like to be a Muslim” in the United States.
Among Sarandon’s many bizarre claims, she seems to think that Muslims in America have had to endure attacks equivalent to, or even more serious than, the antisemitic attacks suffered by Jews. It isn’t true.
In 2023, there were 8,873 antisemitic incidents, many of them involving physical attacks on Jews,. In the same period, 8,061 anti-Muslim attacks were claimed by CAIR, many of which involved microaggressions far less severe than what Jews have been suffering. In addition, some of those attacks described as “anti-Muslim” turned out upon investigation to have had nothing to do with anti-Muslim feelings, such as the shooting of three Palestinian-Americans in Vermont by Jason Eaton, who was in fact pro-Palestinian, and had posted pro-Hamas messages online. The court found that he was suffering from “mental health issues.”
A comparison of antisemitic attacks with attacks on Muslims show the former to have been much more severe than the latter. Jews – especially Orthodox Jews who are easily identifiable — have been set upon and beaten up in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago. Muslims report such things as dirty looks, or someone shouting “go back to Iraq,” or a pork chop left outside a mosque. But Muslims are not set upon and beaten as Jews have been. In Susan Sarandon’s topsy-turvy world, Jews have been well-treated, and it is only now, with a spike in antisemitic incidents, that they are beginning to “get…a taste of what it is like to be a Muslim in the United States.” Now at last those Jews will be made to suffer as Muslims in the United States have been suffering for so long. What Muslim suffering is that? Do you know of any physical assaults on Muslims equivalent to what Jews have endured in our major cities? No, I thought not.
Following her comments, Susan Sarandon was dropped by United Talent Agency. That’s a start. Let’s hope Hollywood turns its back on her: no acting jobs, no voiceovers, no admiring interviews on radio and television. Let her sink into oblivion. She has delighted us long enough.
somehistory says
Was sarandon not one of the people saying years ago that the women should be believed?
The girls who survived the brutal rapes, torture, starvation, etc. gave believable accounts of what they endured.
and this fool calls them liars.
And some didn’t survive, but the videos of their torture have.
and this fool calls them propaganda.

Judge Napolitano and Scott Ritter are also claiming there were no atrocities committed by Hamas, on 10/7, against Israeli citizens. I guess this is where the US is today – delusion willfully trumps reality. That explains a lot.

There seem to be plenty of left wing wankers who share her imbecilic views. I think, with many of these braindead actors, who seem to be always sharing their political views with all of us, might have something worthwhile to say if they are only saying what is in the script of a movie, but, if it is their own opinion about any issue, then it is bound to be a load of idiotic, uninformed bullshit. They should stick to learning the lines in the scripts of the movies that they appear in.
somehistory says
Tim, I believe that most actors get too full of themselves. They are “chosen” for a role, supposedly because they are better than others; they get paid a lot to pretend to be someone they are not, and they get applause and sometimes awards for what they did,
Most of us go through life doing a job, not getting paid what it’s worth, and are not even given a thanks, much less recognition and awards. Our work is not talked about, nor do people pay to go and see us do it.
It all goes to their heads and they began to believe what some critic says about them and the awards given by other actors.
tim gallagher says
Like most people, somehistory, I enjoy movies and Tv shows and watching good actors at work giving good, believable performances. And also plenty of singers, songwriters and musicians that i like are fairly left wing and i would disagree with their comments on political issues. And quite a few people I know, as in my siblings and friends are left wing also, so I am used to it. It’s funny, a conservative friend of mine was talking about the left wing actor types and he said that, just as you are saying, that they get to think that they are important people and that their views on all sorts of issues matter. He was saying that they get the delusion that their views on political issues are really important, but they’re not. They are not important, the genuine politically powerful would just ignore them, but they do get rather big egos and think that their political views matter. Of course, they have the right to their opinions, however idiotic they are, but I just ignore them. My own left wing siblings are very nice people, so i think they are on the wrong track but I don’t dislike them. Same for some of these left wingers in the entertainment business. Of course, people in music mean more to me than actors do, but, as an example, the late Nanci Griffith, someone I only came across on youtube, liked some of her songs, etc, seemed left wing but I have to say that i thought she seemed like one of the nicest people you could ever come across. As for Sarandon saying the hamas atrocities didn’t happen, well that is sickening rubbish. Must be on some other planet to believe such bullshit.
carpediadem says
Miriam Margolyes is a very ugly example of this. A BDS supporter for years, she recently stated that her support for the Palestinians in this war was an “important” thing to publicise.
tim gallagher says
I have heard her name somewhere, carpediadem, but have no idea who she is or what she looks like. Now that I am old, I do take little notice of movies and actors. Here in Australia, i have noticed that, over many years, Cate Blanchett seems to be the queen of left wing causes and tends to annoy me and other people with her views. I haven’t noticed Nicole Kidman ever getting involved in the political debate though I don’t take much notice of the acting brigade. I suppose that some people might care what they say but I think they often know nothing about the issues they make pronouncements on and probably are afraid to step out of line with their fellow left wingers in the entertainment game. They might be treated like lepers if they step out of line.

somehistory,
Excellent analysis.
Actors and actresses just starting out – and trying to break into the business – behave a lot differently.
Surprisingly, there are still some who have made it big still remain grounded:

James, I was an extra in a movie. I saw some of the things that go on when the cameras are not rolling.
I was asked to be in another, but it was when my kids were little and leaving them once was enough for me.
Acting can be hard work, and if a person has a realistic way of seeing life, they will be as the ones you listed.
I believe it’s the same with doctors, lawyers, and others. Attitude has a lot to do with life and how we comport ourselves. How we see ourselves is important.
BTW, thanks for all your comments on the different threads. My eyes are bothering me a lot, so I think I’m going to rest them for awhile.
And thanks, Tim. I think you are correct.
tim gallagher says
James, because there seemed to be so few conservatives in the acting game, I used to take a bit of notice if some expressed conservative views. I think that James Woods, Kelsey Grammer and also Angie Harmon from “Law and Order” were brave enough to publicly express conservative views. I imagine that, early in actors’ careers, they would be afraid to step out of line with the left wing majority in their game as it might bring their careers to a halt. Thanks for the comment, somehistory. Hope your eyes stop playing up soon. Bernie, de Niro does sound like a pain and definitely deranged over Trump. Definitely a great actor though. Greyhound Fancier, spot on. Kevin C Glynn, could be depressed about some kind of diminished fame. Her views seem idiotic. hamas not committing atrocities. I feel much like that about Robert de Niro. I like most of his movies and I think he’s definitely a formidable actor, but a lot of his political opinions I could do without. He also certainly suffers from what some people describe as TDS. or “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
Greyhound Fancier says
Just because you make your living playing dress-up and make-believe doesn’t make you intelligent, well-informed, or someone who should be listened to. Shame on her!

The great tragedy is that she once was voted for having “the best breasts in Hollywood.” Alas, that time has come and gone. Maybe she’s suffering from chronic depression for having lost that title…?

America has NOT avoided 2 Thessalonians 2nd Chapter but I wonder if maybe possibly we could avoid Revelation 18? These numbskulls in the Left seem to be praying in their own special godless fashion for certain PERDITION. It’s as if they see a Paradise in the bowels of Hell. Most certainly that seems nearer each day with the windstruck behavior of those headless zombies on the college campuses. Like a school of fish that move in perfect synchronization according to some unseen common electric current they move about into the jaws of the unknown abyss. There is a species of fish called the clown fish that swims amongst the poison tentacles of the sea anemone without harm yet when other fish follow the lead of the clown fish they receive a sting which paralyzes them and they are devoured. The Left’s intelligentsia are certainly analogous to the clown fish who lure the unwitting young lefties into eternal doom at the hands of their predatory enemies who only intend to destroy their gullible and godless puerile naked souls.

When police come to a crime scene where a woman has been murdered and her underwear is missing or down around her ankles it is a pretty sure bet she has been raped.
I have seen videos online from those who ritually prepare Jewish bodies for burial that testify that countless female corpses have come in with no underwear on and visibly abused bodies. I have seen medical examiners in Israel testifying to the rapes.
I have also seen responsible news organizations who have researched and confirmed these rapes, journalists that have seen the 45-minute video with footage taken from the terrorist’s GoPro cameras saying they wish they’d never seen it, that they can’t unsee it.
Does Susan Sarandon expect Israeli cops to track down the perpetrators and test the DNA to prove the rapes? She has always been a nut job. Her family should probably have her committed cuz she’s clearly lost her mind.
somehistory says
sarandon is the same as the ghouls of iran, hamas, c.a.i.r., mozlums everywhere….they deny the Holocaust, while blaming the Holocaust on the Jews. Many are the mozlums who say hitler didn’t go far enough.
The idiot denies the barbaric treatment of the babies, children, women and men targeted by hamas, and knows these things happened. Does she feel that hamas didn’t go far enough?
