The prime minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, has turned out to be a big disappointment. After a meeting between Meloni and Palestinian prime minister Mohammad Mustafa, Italy pledged millions to UNRWA and a Gaza initiative.
On one hand, Meloni advocates controlling unvetted open-door immigration policy, ostensibly for security reasons. But on the other hand, she is pledging money to support the Palestinians, despite their agenda of obliterating Israel — the Middle Eastern country that stands on the front lines of the global jihad. Meloni has stated:
The international community must avoid an escalation in the war between Israel and Hamas and set a roadmap towards the two states solution….
Although our starting points are far apart, our interests overlap perfectly: that what is happening in Gaza does not become a much wider conflict, a religious war, a clash of civilisations…
I have the impression that this was the real aim of the Hamas attack, not to defend the rights of the Palestinian people, but an attack that would create an unbridgeable gap between the Palestinians and the Israelis, meaning that the target is all of us, and we cannot fall into this trap, which would be very stupid.”
HAMAS really is the acronym for Harakat al-Muqawama al-Islamiya, that is, Islamic Resistance Movement. Its aim is to annihilate the state of Israel. The global focus should be on Hamas, not Israel. Although Meloni is correct that the target “is all of us” (after Israel), she also stated that Israel’s right to self-defense should be in line with international law, whatever that means in practical terms. Israel is a sovereign nation that must defend its existence. Israel, like any other country, is acting in its own defense, but the UN and other anti-Israel types routinely use the term “international law” whenever they try to indict Israel unjustifiably.
Meloni opposed Israel’s ground operation in Rafah, where Hamas is intentionally hiding out among the population. She stated:
We will reiterate that we are against a ground operation by Israel in Rafah, which could have even more catastrophic consequences for the civilians in the region.
Israel has no choice but to root out Hamas in order to survive. And that’s just a beginning. Iran and all of its proxies aim to destroy the one tiny Jewish state. Yet Meloni is sending millions to Palestinians, despite the widespread knowledge that Hamas is stealing aid. UNRWA is doing the same, and many of its employees took part in October 7.
Meloni is proving herself to be scattered in her loyalties and unreliable regarding Western interests, as jihadists are a threat to the entire West, not only to Israel as it stands on the frontlines.
“Italy pledges millions to support Palestinians at Rome meeting,” Euro News, May 25, 2024:
Italy has pledged millions of euros to support Palestine, during a meeting of Italy’s prime minister Giorgia Meloni and Palestinian prime minister Mohammad Mustafa on Saturday in Rome.
Mustafa is the leader of the Palestinian Authority in the occupied West Bank.
Italian foreign minister Antonio Tajani said Rome would provide new funding of around €35 million for the Palestinian population.
Five million euros will go to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and the other 30 million will be allocated to the ‘Food for Gaza’ initiative.
Israel previously accused UNRWA of collaborating with Hamas during the October 7 attack….

Why do none of the “leaders” ask their citizens if they want their money used to enable hamas to destroy Israel….and then come for them once they have completed that destruction?
It’s as if some unseen force has taken over the brains of these “leaders” and is controlling their actions and reactions to the relentless attacks by mozlums.
(satan is the unseen force)

Exactly Somehistory, if they’d ask the citizens this question I’m certain at least 99% of them would object to the way their money is being spent. And you’re right, “it’s as if some unseen force has taken over their brains,” because no rational thinking person would do such a thing..

Thank you very much, John, for your reply.

Damn it, Italy too. I expect crap like this from countries like Norway, Spain and Ireland, but I had higher hopes for Italy. Not to be. What pusillanimous and stupid people now run so much of Europe. Of course being the American that I am, I cannot exculpate my country either which is presently run for the most part, a la Aaron Rodgers, by a “bunch of f…ing bums.”

I am seriously disappointed in Meloni as I thought she was better than this and I wonder what Salvini has to say about this move of hers.
