Irish Eurovision Contestant ‘Cries’ Because Israeli Singer Makes It to the Finals

Just how crazed has the anti-Israel furor become in Europe? So crazed that the aptly named Bambie Thug, Ireland’s competitor in the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest, “cried with my team” when she learned that Israeli singer Eden Golan had been voted to be a finalist. More on this unpleasant and lachrymose nitwit can be found here: “Eurovision contestant Bambie Thug ‘cried’ over Israel’s Eden Golan making it to grand final,” Jerusalem Post, May 11, 2024:

Bambie Thug, Ireland’s Eurovision competitor for 2024, announced during an interview that they [sic] had cried upon learning that Israel’s Eden Golan had made it through to the grand final, according to multiple media reports on Friday.

“I cried with my team,” Bambie said after an interviewer asked how she felt about Golan’s success.

“It is a complete overshadow [sic] of everything, goes against everything that Eurovision is meant to be,” the controversial singer added. “It’s a big, big community together and their contestant was never allowed to even meet us.

“God forbid we have some conversation where minds might be changed.

Yes, if only Bambie Thug and her like-minded “big community” of Israel-haters had been allowed to meet and talk with the Israeli contestant, Eden Golan, they might have talked some sense into her, convinced her that the country she was representing was in the wrong, and who knows — perhaps she would denounce the Zionist entity from the podium, should she be declared the winner.

“It’s definitely putting a cloud above it for everyone.”…

Yes, the whole Eurovision contest this year has been irreparably spoiled by the appearance of a contestant from Israel. “Everyone” is distressed that a representative of the apartheid colonial-settler genocidal state of Israel should have been allowed to take part.

“I am fearful that we will miss a lot of votes because of the boycotting and that those then will make someone else maybe more [sic] with the chance to win,” they [apparently Bambie Thug demands to be pluralized] said….

Bambie Thug wanted so much to win, and she feared that her countrymen who, as a sign of solidarity with the Palestinians, were refusing to take part in any aspect of the Eurovision contest because of the presence of Israeli singer Eden Golan, would not take part in the online voting. And that might have made it impossible for Thug’s performance to garner enough votes. She was hoist with her own anti-Israel petard, it seems. What’s a poor bigot to do?

Meanwhile, 20,000 pro-Hamas protesters in Malmö assembled to chant against Israel and against Eden Golan. She was put under 24/7 armed guard, and told by agents of the Shin Bet to remain in her hotel room, coming out only to give her performance, after which she should return immediately to her room.

Eden Golan did not win the Eurovision Final, but if she had, I expect that pro-Hamas crowd would have run wild in Malmö, enraged that an Israeli was allowed not just to take part in the song contest, which was bad enough, but even — horribile dictu — to win.

    the thing is, people such as this idiot….and so very many others….are *afraid* of the Jews; and one reason, Jews are generally very intelligent and talented in whatever they undertake to do. the “thug” was afraid of being outdone by someone so many have decided to hate.

    It’s like the thought of Matt Dillon being beaten to the draw by Barney Fife. The ‘thug’ is as shaky as Fife would have been going up against Dillon. And with no chance of winning.

  3. After looking at the entries for that song contest…I have to say it seems to have been all perverts…except for the Israeli entry. Perhaps there were others, but I didn’t see any in the search.

        What an absurd age we live in and I think in large part due to the very freedom and affluence that the West like no other civilization created—and thus most easily taken for granted unless an appreciation remains in tact respecting why such freedom and affluence came to be in the first place.

        And that appreciation is fading fast like. Very fast. The many nitwits on college campuses aplenty excoriating Israel and sustaining Hamas serve as an example of how the best of mankind can be easily ruined by the worst of mankind within just a generation because civilization is fragile, though certainly worth preserving, and anti-civilization is non-fragile because so easily and stupidly engaged in and is not worth preserving at all.

  7. Eurovision itself has an aura of Sodom and Gomorrah v2.0 with the Israeli performance being an exception.

    If Eurovision represents EU morals, the EU citizens will, as susceptible, rootless people, become the eventual wards of Islam or some other ideology whose adherents, though the ideology may be totally false, have been given a clear, unified, purpose for their own and other human life.

  16. I wonder what Raoul Wallenberg, still the most famous Swede in the World, would say about this. Malmostan is now 40% islam and parts of it resemble Gaza City with all the photos of their stupid Dome of the Rock and Al Asqa Mosque plastered all over their stores. I think there are fewer than 100 Jews left in Malmo and they come under assault fairly frequently in the streets.   19. Eden Golan’s performance was cultured, graceful and beautiful. Her lovely voice and modern dancers were poignant and aspirational. The other performances like this “thug” were a joke. With all these threats, this young woman was so brave and patriotic.

  21. If Eden Golan did win, her country would be the host country for the next year’s Eurovision contest. Think about that! Israel would be the host country. All of the Israel haters would have a cow! Now, I hope Israel would not be at war if the time comes for them to host such a huge contest as this one.

    Eurovision has been going down the tubes over the years, reflecting the current political and degenerate climate. But I was amazed that Eden Golan made it to the finals and got over 300 popular votes putting her in 1st place at one point! She did a beautiful job on her song, yet getting the message across. Still remember “Halleluia!” by Milk and Honey, Eurovision 1979.
