Are the parents of these campus brats, now being forcibly removed from their encampments unwilling or unable to discipline them? After all, the four years of “education” their children receive at private universities such as Columbia, Harvard, and Princeton, assuming no financial aid, comes close to $400,000. That’s what the parents pay. Are they proud of their children expressing their solidarity with those who committed the atrocities of October 7? Or are they dismayed at the “education” their children have received, that clearly has not taught them to think straight, if they can demand the eradication of the Jewish state and its replacement by a 23rd Arab one and call that “justice”? Do they admire, or are they appalled, at their children spouting antisemitic nonsense, calling for another “Intifada” (i.e., an “uprising”) against Israel, this time waged not just in the Middle East, but on American campuses as well, where the hope is to force schools to divest from companies doing business with Israel, and to cut all academic ties with Israeli academics and institutions? British journalist Piers Morgan asks “where are the parents” here: “But Where Are The Parents?,” by Piers Morgan, New York Post, April 30, 2024:
It costs around $90,000 a year to attend Columbia University.
Most undergraduates do four years of studying there, which means that if they’re not getting any subsidized grants, their parents are coughing up a total of $360,000 just for their tuition, housing, food and books.
Add in other expenses like travel, and Mommy and Daddy won’t be getting much change out of $400,000.
That’s a lot of money.
But those parents would doubtless consider it a price worth paying to give their child what is supposedly one of the best educations in the world at such a supposedly elite institution with a supposedly world-class reputation.
Instead, it’s become a disgraceful hotbed of toxic terrorism-supporting insanity and its lunatic students have literally taken over the asylum.
The increasingly disturbing situation on Columbia’s campus exploded last night in shocking and shameful scenes as a violent mob broke into one of the university’s historic buildings, then brandished a banner with the word “INTIFADA.”
As if there were any doubt about their intentions, they brazenly harassed and intimidated Jewish students, holding some against their will.
Another of the mob’s banners demanded a “Liberation Education,” which is ironic because these morons are hopefully going to get a harsh lesson in a real-world education on the legal repercussions of committing crimes like trespass, property damage, assault and false imprisonment.
But as I’ve watched this escalating mayhem, one thought has kept recurring to me: Where the hell are their parents?
How could anyone be happy or proud of their child abandoning their hugely expensive tuition to be part of a self-styled intifada against Jews?
This has gone way beyond an expression of free speech or right to protest, or legitimate criticism of the way Israel’s government is waging the war on Hamas….
Are the parents of these pro-Hamas demonstrators, whose ranks — according to the NYPD — have been infiltrated by professional agitators who are not Columbia students, aware of how their children are being manipulated by antisemites, many of them Muslims, to become ever more violent in their protests? Why are they not reading their children the riot act, making clear that any further participation by them in these antisemitic protests calling for another “intifada” will result in the parents halting their payments to the university? That should get their progeny’s attention.

It is the same question I have been asking all the while these 19 to 25-year-old snowflakes have been encamped in 40-odd university campuses in their COVID-era masks and intifada-style scarves.
I humbly ask all their mugshots and names to be made public so that their shamed parents know what their precious, spoonfed wunderkinds have been up to and that decent, hard-working companies like mine will never need to hire these entitled troublemakers.
One question I have for these spoilt trust fund kids is whether the payments for their useless degrees come from their parents’ investments in the same Israeli funds and companies that these brats demanded that the universities divest from.

I have asked the same things.
Do their parents care? Are any of them opposed?
Do they agree with the so-called protests, and are they working to support hamas as their children are?
We know one parent….i.elmi, alias i. omar…supports the terrorists. She has been vocal about being proud of her daughter; and she has visited the campus…at least one…to shake hands and grin like the snake she is.

Many of these students are from foreign countries and their country pays the University up front. Some are on scholarships and along with financial aid from our tax dollars and also have nothing invested of their own. When people have little to nothing invested they don’t care what happens to those who are paying and WORKING their way through school.
NOTHING INVESTED, NOTHING TO LOSE. And they won’t be held responsible for damages or the cost of protecting others and property.

Ditto.
Been asking the same sort of questions since 2020.

At the schools it is a minority of extremist garbage wishing death to America which is good to know. That picture of the University of North Carolina frat guys defending the flag and America while laughing in the anti-American mobs faces is something I loved to see. People on the internet are calling it the 21st century version of the flag raising at Iwo Jima, band of brothers, etc. It interesting that Southerners are defending the flag and America while Northerners are cowering in the face of it all. Many times it is little things that ignite a movement.Yes there are good parents out there and I’m sure they are very proud of their kids. It began as muslims and leftists vs Jews and Israel but the idiots brought the rest of us who love America in to it and now it has become a whole new ball game.

The parents are the same leftist twits as their “children”. And, you already know what the moslem parents are like.

Could it be that these kids were raised on treat rewards for a tantrum at the checkout counter and a trophy for everyone?
These adolescents will vote yet they will provide no military service or significant funds for the treasury. That comes from their parents. Tell me again, why they are mature enough to vote when Hamas can lead them to pray to Allah for the destruction of Israel and they trash the campuses? Want to guess the state of their rooms?

Still want to send your children to one of these Communist islamopandering poison ivy schools?
Still want to donate to the alumni fund?
Are you awake – or still woke?

Senator…I think it’s Washburn….’saying foreign students to have Visa pulled, the person sent home and barred from coming back. American citizens on student loans to have those pulled; and those saying “I am hamas” to be put on terror watch list.’

I only wish these actions would be taken.
Sadly, since 2020, I have observed that all our elected officials “talk a good game,” but stay seated.
