Sadly Keith, from what I’ve observed here in Oz through conversations & reading online comments, most Aussies DO reflect those opinions because they’ve been conditioned by not just the ABC/LGBTXYZ but all channels & talking heads.
As soon as you try to explain the truth of any current topic, esp regarding islam, you get met with either anger or a stupefied silence as they’re afraid to appear racist.

Here in Australia, the ABC is infested with a bunch of far left Marxist scumbags who spend all their time, all paid for by the Australian taxpayers, over $1 billion a year, pushing the leftists’ line on every issue under the Sun. Many people would love to see the foul thing shut down or defunded and have its leftist propaganda disappear. Its ratings are terrible, from what I hear the radio especially has ratings in free fall. I haven’t watched the ABC or listened to it for over 20 years. Too annoying to put with any of their complete bullshit. Left wingers that I know get their news from it and buy the ABC view of things. It seems that the ABC, the BBC and other similar broadcasters are a magnet for left wing wankers because they know that they will get to spend their lives among fellow Marxist shitheads. That billion dollars of taxpayers’ money that goes to the ABC every year could be spent in far better ways here in Austrlia, that’s for sure.

That’s right, 40 rounds, no politicians seem to be willing or courageous enough to take them on. There is a charter that the ABC is supposed to follow which involves giving a balanced view of the issues, I suppose giving both sides on an issue, which the scum at the ABC completely ignore and always push their left wng views because they know that no-one is going to force them to fall into line with the charter. It is pathetic. Most of the time, from what i hear, the ABC seems to spend its time putting shit on Australia, all the time using the Australian taxpayers’ money to do so.

Very sympathetic to your point of view, tg. Here in America National Public Radio (NPR and which many like myself call National Propaganda Radio) is funded by the government and is horribly Leftist. The most recent scandal showed that of its 87 board members all 87 were Democrats, not even one Republican. And yet the current head of NPR (a complete doofus) said that this was not indicative of any bias. Yes, the Leftist elites really do think we’re this stupid.
Frankly, I don ‘t want any public funding of any news outlet. Let the free market decide who prospers and who doesn’t and spare the taxpayer. Of course this won’t happen—but it should.

Wellington, I have heard commentators out here in Australia who I admire say that the answer to this situation where all the poor old taxpayers pay for these parasites at the ABC to spend their time running Australia down and constantly pushing far left agendas is to make the service a subscription model, I think that is the way the BBC in the UK is financed, and the left wingers who like the bullshit from the ABC can subscribe and pay for it, but others who loathe the organisation don’t have to have their taxes go towards propping it up. I used to hear a little of NPR as the ABC years ago used to have some of their crap on. I do like some of those NPR tiny desk music concerts, nice acoustic music, only watched a few, but they were enjoyable. I’m sure I would not waste a second of my time on any of their political propaganda. The problem with the ABC bias is a sort of running sore out here because the politicians won’t take them on and tell them to display some balance in their views. So they just continue on with their totally biased attitudes with immunity from consequences..

If the Australian Broadcasting Corporation were impeccable in their presentations they would make the authorship perfectly clear especially if it’s just ChatGp4 “hallucinating” or a particularly biased BBC News presenter sacked and now anonymously feeding the News Wires with “resilience” and “Hamas Health Department says …”.
Alternative news op: No Gazans have formed any large scale protests against their Hamas terrorist overlords telling them to hand back all the remaining hostages and so end immediately the conflict which demonic Hamas brought about with the calculated aim of using its own people as sandbags against Israeli retaliation, and their people’s dead bodies as calculated media propaganda.
