Yeah, They Might Wanna Rethink This: Columbia University Protesters Proclaim ‘We Are Hamas’

As far as the student protesters at Columbia University and other universities are concerned, they’re making a strong and principled stand for justice. Yet events at Columbia and elsewhere have taken an ugly turn, with the protesters sounding more like the National Socialists (remember, that’s what “Nazi” means) of 1930s Germany than any actual crusader for human rights.

When this latest social contagion has run its course and the hysteria has died down, these students would do well to consider carefully what they’re actually supporting. It’s clear that they haven’t done so as of yet.

The New York Post on Thursday published video of a man wearing a kippah and with an Israeli flag draped over his shoulders passing by a crowd of protesters at Columbia. One young man shouted at him, “Keep it moving, you Zionist pig!” A few moments later, the man with the Israeli flag, responding to something that was said to him, asks, “Hamas is okay?” To that, a woman with a keffiyeh over her head and covering her mouth bangs on a metal crowd-control barrier and shouts furiously, “We are Hamas!”

Another supporter of Israel asks her, “You’re what? You’re Hamas?” as she keeps banging on the barrier. She responds while continuing to bang on the barrier, “Yes, we’re all Hamas, pig!” Another protester adds, “Long live Hamas!”

Yet the chances that these Columbia students (if that is what they really are, rather than professional protesters brought in from elsewhere) really know what they’re endorsing when they so enthusiastically embrace Hamas is about nil. How many Columbia student protesters know that Hamas is an Arabic acronym for the Islamic Resistance Movement, which is the actual name of the organization? How many know that the Hamas Charter of 1988 quotes Hasan al-Banna, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, saying, “Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it”? How many understand the implications of the statement that “Islam” is what will ultimately destroy Israel?

Islam is the elephant in the room of this entire conflict: not only do the Columbia students ignore it but also the establishment media and even the Western politicians and policymakers who have attempted for decades now to negotiate an agreement that will end the conflict and bring peace to the region. The only force that is involved in the Israeli/Arab conflict that doesn’t ignore Islam’s key role in it is the Arab side: Muslim Arab and non-Arab leaders routinely speak of their hatred of Israel and desire to destroy it in Islamic terms, which is why it is so short-sighted and foolish of Western leaders and analysts to ignore this aspect of the whole problem.

  2. The West is under God’s condemnatory wrath and their willful blindness to that fact is the main SYMPTOM of it. These idiot children are like a huge herd of lemmings headed for the cliff. Their own subconscious minds have a strange impulse for self-destruction that seems inexorable. If they studied what Islam has in store for them they’d be committing suicide in droves, but then again Hamas is going to gladly serve them the sword straight on the backs of their necks.

    • Those protesters are too stupid to be university students or anything else. They readily admit they are hamassed hamas. They just confessed to being terrorist murderers commiting hamass atrocities. That should give them life in prison or something better like the sparky chair !

  3. Let’s just hope that nobody uses modern facial recognition software that can see thru face diapers to identify them and ruin their lives. They should never have their faces and words put on the sides of trucks, or have people protesting at their homes, and employers never ever hiring them. Stating that you are a member of a terrorist organization shouldn’t be held against them.

  6. I hope some good soul out there tracks and memorializes every face of every wannabe terrorist that’s out there claiming to be Hamas, and then makes available this rogues’ gallery for all corporate HR folks to review as part of the background checks during a job interview process.

  7. Lately, there have been a heck-of-a-lot of suicides among young people in the twenties and thirties. They have been abundant among “influencers” and others who seem happy, upbeat, and then suddenly as turning out a light, are stopped in their young lives by their own hands. Their friends and family are left to guess why.
    These mostly young people claiming to be hamas are just as mixed up as other young people, and have been persuaded to join a murderous campaign of terror and subjugation which will end in many deaths. Some, perhaps, by suicide when the ‘students’ realize what they have done in joining these violent groups.
    One student, a young man on FOX, said that he saw many in the crowds who are not students; and noted that all of the tents in the ‘encampments’ are the same.
    Another guest on that network, gave evidence that a group of mozlums in America are behind all of this. How many of the students are aware? Those the student noticed who are not his classmates are likely the mozlums keeping this evil going and increasing.

    islam is the reason. islam is the problem. islam is the death of the soul.

    • These protesters were found to be backed and supported by Iran. A leaked Iranian document was found that contained plans to disrupt western society by creating chaos. Iran should be dragged to the World Court of Justice on a charge of supporting proxy terrorists and other crimes against humanity. And when found guilty,the mullahs should be executed and the iranian people be set free again.

  8. If no Islam, then no Hamas. Islam is the “root cause” of Hamas and Hamas members, it should never be overlooked, are very devout Muslims. Hamas is a symptom of the cancer which is Islam.

  9. Mr. Spencer glossed over an important historical issue. Never in the time since the formation of nations whether city-states or massive land boundaries has appeasement worked. Obviously, there have been occasions where neighboring states have agreed to move boundaries to settle issues but outright cessation like that of the Allies who tried to surrender part of their national territories based on Germany’s perception of Germanic ideals such as the surrender of part of the Alsace Louraine and Chech / Slovak states at the preliminary stages of WWI and WWII, respectively. Throughout the history of Russia, people were gobbled up while trying to appease the Czars and later the Communists under Joe Stalin, leaders of small nations such as Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and other nations continued to be gobbled up after giving in to the Soviets. Israel understands that to give an inch will entice the enemy to gobble up the rest.

    Just take a look at how China has stolen an independent nation such as Tibet while the rest of the world just sighed and said, “Oh well.” Since then, the Chinese have swallowed or attempted to steal territories in their sites like islands that have long been part of Japan and even attempting to usurp much of The Philippine water way realizing that the US, Britian and Australia will probably be unwilling to go to war to prevent Chinese usurpation. The Israeli government is totally correct to refuse to give even a millimeter of land.

  12. It is staggering that anyone would want to say that they are hamas. In the exchange, I guess that is why the supporter of Israel says, “You’re what? You’re hamas?” no doubt incredulous as i would be that anyone would say that they are the raping, torturing, murdering, sadistic subhuman scum of the earth vermin that compose hamas. So this woman is hamas, the rapists who raped all those women back in early October and even cooked a baby. Even though it does seem to be some kind of incoherent drivel made by a shit for brains person, I loathe all these people who either support or identify with hamas. Such people have to be among the lowest and most evil scumbags ever and those satanically evil creatures who were involved in the atrocities back in early October reached a level of evil that is hard to fathom. Hate-filled islam does create an endless supply of hideously evil scum, but the vermin from hamas plumbed new depths even for muslims. You think of the most sadistic of serial killers and a person who says that they are “hamas” is really saying that they are as evil as the most evil of sadistic serial killers.

    • Yes, Tim. How many would say they are John Gacy, Gary Ridgeway, Jeffery Dahmer, Robert Yates, or the fictionalized “Hannible Lecter”, based on the life and evil of Ed Gein?

      Because the members of hamas would do the same things again and again, they are, indeed, the same as the worst serial killers.

      • That’s the way I see the vermin from hamas, somehistory, in view of the extreme sadism they displayed back in early October, I can only compare them to the worst of serial killers, the lowest of the low when it comes to the appalling levels of evil that they displayed.   13. Remove all gov funding from universities, faculty, students and orgs who support Hamas. Deport all immigrants who support Hamas.

  14. Well they have identified themselves as Hamas a terrorist organization. NOW go arrest them, try them for terrorism, put them in jail and DEPORT the foreign students and migrants involved. It would help to find who the backers and financiers of these groups are and prosecute them like they are going after Trump.
