This would give the jihadis the power to hold up U.S. aid to Israel indefinitely, and would thus constitute a massive victory for Hamas. That is obviously what Tlaib and Bush want.

The FBI has a long record of telling the families of those kidnapped not to “deal” with the kidnappers. Maybe pretend, say they will deliver, but allow the LE to get done what they can do.
Usually, the victim is dead before any ransom is demanded, but the ransom is demanded anyway.

I can easily see all of this descend into civil war against the Left-Islam alliance.
Eventually people will see that democracy is not self-correcting…that bad people are not being removed, so it’ll fall on the average citizens to take matters into their own hands.
Everywhere you see Muslims in power in western nations (like mayors, politicians, etc), you see rape gangs, riots, knife-crimes, terrorism flourishing and freedom-fighters/critics of Islam being harassed, jailed and attacked.
The sad part is that the ruling elites can snap their fingers and change all of this overnight. They see what’s going on and either are afraid, or don’t care or lack unity…or worse they’re on our enemy’s side.
The WORST solution will be civil war, because many good people could end up being injured or killed as they decide to take on the enemy. Ofc people will be hurt on both sides, so it’s best to avoid it…but if there is no other choice, then it will eventually happen…and life could become a nightmare for all of us…as you don’t know who’s going to attack you around the corner.
Additionally many PoC who are not Muslims could be wrongly targeted by actual Neo-Nazi types, like when some racist killed a Sikh man after 9/11…everyone knows Sikhs are kind good people…so this is not a good outcome for anyone.

It is probable that at least half of the October hostages are dead by now. It would be truly astonishing if fifty are still living and breathing.
When asked, a Hamas spokesman was unsure about how many hostages were still living, where they were held and by whom they were and are held.
To the Israeli-citizen hostages, living and dead, one needs to add the Thais, the Nepalese and also the other non-Israelis held since October.
It deserves to be remembered that Hamas, and Hamas’ gallant allies, like Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine,* are also warehousing two Israeli corpses, hidden in Gaza for some years and two mental defectives – one an Arab citizen of Israel, the other an Ethiopian Jew, who had somehow wandered into Gaza.
In addition, there are an uncertain number of Arab citizens of Israel held in Gaza.
