“Family of Slain Christian in Pakistan Receives Death Threats,” Morning Star News, April 3, 2024:
LAHORE, Pakistan (Christian Daily International–Morning Star News) – Muslim relatives of the alleged killer of a 20-year-old Christian in Pakistan are threatening the victim’s family with death if they do not drop charges, sources said.
Muhammad Zubair initially confessed to killing Farhan Ul Qamar in his house in Talwandi Inayat Khan village, Pasrur tehsil of Sialkot District, Punjab Province, shooting him in the presence of the Christian’s family members on Nov. 9, 2023. He later retracted his confession in court.
The victim’s father, Noor Ul Qamar, said that on the evening of March 18, his family was busy in their routine chores when six armed Muslims led by the alleged killer’s father, Afzal Bajwa, intruded into their house and held them all at gunpoint.
“The intruders threatened us that if we do not stop pursuing the case and reach a settlement with them to free Zubair from prison, they would kill us all,” Ul Qamar told Christian Daily International-Morning Star News.
The armed Muslims were present in their house when one of Ul Qamar’s brothers, a pastor who lives in the neighborhood, called police, he said.
“God knows what would have happened to us if the police hadn’t come on time and took the intruders into custody,” Ul Qamar said. “I filed an application for the registration of a case against them, but instead the police released the men after a few hours.”
The head of the police station told him that he had let the armed Muslims off with a warning to not intimidate the family again, Ul Qamar said.
“The accused’s family has a criminal background and are also politically influential, which is perhaps why the police did not take any legal action against them,” he said.
Area residents have advised him not press charges regarding the armed break-in and death threat as it could endanger his family, he said.
“Zubair’s family started threatening me to withdraw the case a couple of months after they saw that the hype around the murder had settled down,” Ul Qamar told Christian Daily International-Morning Star News. “They first sent reconciliatory messages through different people, but when we refused, their tone became more aggressive, and they threatened to kill me if I did not surrender to their demand.”
On the night of the killing, Zubair showed hatred for Christians and Jews, mistakenly referring to the family as Jews as he ranted at them before killing Farhan Ul Qamar, family members said. Police arrested Zubair from his home a few hours later, and while in police custody he confessed to killing the Christian. He is awaiting trial in Sialkot District Jail.
Though shaken, the family is determined to pursue justice for the killer, Ul Qamar said….

The Police authorities in Pakistan seem to leave a lot to be desired. Impartiality does not seem to reign supreme. This is just the latest one reads re unfair attitudes and actions meted out to persons of non Islamic beliefs or background.

“The accused family”…are mozlums. mozlums often have “criminal backgrounds” and many are “politically influential.”
That’s not difficult for them since they are in a mozlum ruined nation, led by mozlums and with mozlum police officers, judges, etc.
I feel bad for the young man and his family. But so glad they are not giving in to the intimidation and threats. Jesus said Christians would be hated and face persecution, even from the authorities. He also said, “I am with you, all the days until the conclusion of a system of things.”

How long will it take for the world to declare islamists as the new nazis. While currently non-Muslims in the islamic lands are being oppressed the time will come for the other non-Muslim world as they keep remaining silent. Instead of condemning people who burn the koran they should expose the koranic lies and contradictions to everyone. But sadly that is not going to happen any time near. Some predicted that the emergence of ISIS would open the peoples’ eyes. That did not happen.
The koran is of human origin and must be criticized in order to create a better world. Doing so is not “anti-Muslim”. We are helping Muslims to be free from their chains. The chains of a creature named “Allah” which according to his book hates everyone including Muslims.

This is also true of the bible, it too is of human origin, coming from the minds of men. The big difference is that those who read the bible no longer murder those who question it’s validity.
Islam is stuck in a barbaric past that at least Christianity has been able to leave behind.

Agreed, Keith O. Thank you for your comment. There were dark ages in the world for example during the crusades, inquisition and witch hunts. But, as you say, these periods have passed and today, at least, there are no Christians who kill like the Islamists. I wish, maybe the same thing would happen in Islam in a near future.

As the part about “modern man”…..I was not referring to such things as building a large stone structure.
God gave the Jews instructions about washing after touching a dead body….before mankind did tests and found out about bacteria.
God gave instructions about bathroom habits….to protect against harmful bacteria.
God gave instructions about not eating certain foods….like pork which spoils easily and can be fatal if eaten.
I was referring to the findings of people like Pasteur and the fact that STD’s attack the liver.
Hence, King Solomon’s writing about not being a youth in a hurry to be with a prostitute.
Of course, if one doesn’t read the Bible, then one cannot know of all of the True Science one can learn from the ancient book….written before some things were found in the lab.
And, any “churches” which members went out slaughtering others, were not True Christian. Jesus never instructed those things which mozlums do….and are instructed to do.
Jesus let His followers know those kinds of things are condemned by His Father when He gave the Sermon on the Mount.
If one goes strictly by what Jesus said….which is what Christianity and being a Christian is all about….then that one is not a killer of other humans.
Any person calling himself Christian and killing others, is lying; a lying killer. Whether now or in the past.

Surprisingly, I had never thought about it quite that way.

I also find much science in the many Scriptures about the stars. Things man has only recently learned with his telescopes and probes sent out to the far reaches.
And recently listening to Dr. Hugh Ross, the astrophysicist talk about the science in creation itself, from Genesis, I learned that there is so much more to learn..
