Old Joe Biden Goes to an Abortion Rally, Does the Most Tone-Deaf Thing Imaginable

Ordinarily, you’d think that if a Roman Catholic made the sign of the cross in the context of an abortion rally, it was because he or she was praying for an end to the child sacrifices and a return of America’s recognition that the right to life is, as Thomas Jefferson put it, unalienable. But the Catholic in this case is Old Joe Biden, who just added to the mountain of evidence that his much-ballyhooed piety is all about getting votes and really doesn’t mean anything to him at all by making the sign of the cross in the context of supporting abortion.

Yes, he really did. As Athena Thorne noted Wednesday, “at a campaign rally alongside Florida politician Nikki Fried, Biden listened while the Democrat gubernatorial candidate raged against her opponent, Gov. Ron DeSantis, for signing the state’s strict abortion law. ‘Then we come back here to the state of Florida where Ron DeSantis felt like he needed to run for president and so 15 weeks was not good enough,’ Fried seethed, as though politics were DeSantis’s motive. ‘And then we had to go to six weeks.’”

It was at that point that Old Catholic Joe crossed himself as if to express his pious horror at the idea that someone might be trying to save babies from being dismembered in the womb. One of Old Joe’s Irish forbears could articulate it in a fine blarney brogue: Saints presairve us, they want to restrict abortion to six weeks! What is this sinful old world coming to?

The ghastly tone-deafness of Biden’s gesture cannot be overstated. Fox News reported Thursday that Brian Burch, president of CatholicVote, was furious, saying: “Biden’s use of the Sign of the Cross in support of abortion is a disgusting insult towards all Christians, but especially of Catholics whom he claims as his own. The Sign of the Cross is a sacred gesture used by believers to bless themselves, ask forgiveness, or to protect them from temptation. Instead, Biden has turned this ancient Christian practice into an endorsement of abortion extremism.”

Burch added: “No Catholic, regardless of their position on abortion, can support this grotesque abuse of religious piety. Voters of faith need to wake up and understand what is at stake this November. The new abortion religion, which seeks to mock and ultimately destroy Christianity, is on the ballot.” Indeed it is.

The reaction of Bishop Robert Gruss of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saginaw, Mich., was less heated but even more devastating: “I don’t have any anger towards the president. I feel sorry for him. I’m not angry at him, he’s just stupid. It’s not stupidity in the derogatory way, it’s stupidity in the sense of […] he doesn’t understand the Catholic faith.”

    biden never learned any of the Ten Commandments, which Jesus obeyed perfectly, but no other human ever has. biden can’t even keep the one that says not to “bear false witness.” Lying is something biden does daily.

    This act that Catholics do, was never to be for asking that unborn children be sacrificed to molech/moloch or ba’al by the ghouls of the misnamed ‘planned parenthood.’ It’s really planned genocide of the unborn.
    And biden wants it blessed. Evil, demonic evil rules his ugly heart.

    One can only hope that he made the sign of the cross as a request for forgiveness for his abhorrent actions.

        I look at other religions and it seems like a lot of other church leaders are going the same route. Even some of the Orthodox Patriarchs.

          Matthew 23:10 “Do not let yourselves be called leaders or teachers; for One is your Leader (Teacher), the Christ.”

          So if we follow Jesus, our *Leader,*, then we will not be misled.
          No matter how many, as the pope or others who have ‘positions’ in the different churches, go astray, individual Christians have a Leader, a Shepherd, a Master and Teacher who will faithfully guide us. On that, we can trust even to the putting of our very life in His Hands.
          Which are what faith and devotion are all about.

  4. My impression of this piece of shit, Biden, is that he is a complete megalomaniac, a scumbag who cares about only one thing in life, and that is wielding power and clinging onto power. So he says or does anything that would help him do that. He cynically makes use of religion to further his ambitions. It is all bullshit from power-crazed Biden. Of course, these days he is a genuinely demented, pretty much brain dead piece of shit, so he is likely to come up with anything at any time. Truly a low life, corrupt megalomaniac seems to be all he has ever been. He should be dragged off to some retirement home where he cannot keep destroying the USA which his Presidency has been doing.

      • Yes, James, he and his family seem to be incredibly corrupt, kind of an Irish mafia or some such thing. I don’t know whether I have asked you this before, but what is the story with the open borders and letting huge numbers of people pour into the USA. I imagine that it is a way for the Democrats to bring in a lot of people who will vote for them and maybe, in time, destroy democracy by having the Democrats voted in all the time. I believe a similar policy is going on here in Australia. The Labor government keep letting huge numbers in and I suspect they just want to flood the country with Labor voters. People are getting mightily pissed off about it because the cost of rent and buying houses has shot up incredibly, homelessness increased greatly, so I think the huge numbers being allowed into the country will have to be curtailed. I suspect that our Labor government want to reach a point where they can keep getting voted in even if it totally wrecks the country.

It is exactly what I had thought, as long as they vote Democrat or, in Australia, vote labor, these scumbag politicians couldn’t give a damn about wrecking the country and wrecking the democratic system of government. It is sickening. When it comes to the USA I have been watching the wide open borders situation and been stunned and I have thought that surely almost all Americans must be enraged by what is being allowed to happen. In Australia, I think they will have to cut back migration numbers because so many people are becoming really angry over lack of housing, massive rent increases, massive house prices, etc.

    Given that pro-Life ballot initiatives have gone down in red, supposedly pro-Life states like Kansas & Ohio, the movement needs to work on persuading people, rather than just pass laws like that

    • It would help if abortion supporters stepped out of the 1950s and joined the 21st century. Lots of options now besides abortion vs back then. In today’s modern world I use the comparison of reckless driving to abortion. You can drive reckless but should there be no consequences afterward for doing it?

      • For a lot of abortion supporters, it is a fetish. Remember Lena Dunham, who said, “Now I can say that I still haven’t had an abortion, but I wish I had”? Essentially, it’s another rite of passage, another sacrament

        I do think that the bulk of people don’t want third trimester abortions done, but they do want it to be legal for at least the first 8-12 weeks. Gov RdS was fine when he made it 15 weeks: Florida was more liberal then most of Europe, which typically has it at the 12-13 week cutoff, so logically, it was hard for pro-abortionists to accuse Florida of being “anti-choice” when their standards were a tad looser than Europe’s. But by making it 6 weeks, he played into their hands – something President Trump noted both during the time RDS was running, & even after he dropped out.

    • Although I believe in, if you make it you own it, I dont force that on everyone. With the left everything impacts the climate and world ending climate change. So I have to ask them, how much does getting rid of preventable unwanted pregnancies contribute to climate change? Unless abortions are preformed in a cave with a sharp rock they do contribute. Yes I know it is a tangled web of contradictions over there on the left but I am just entertaining debate on their scattered terms.

  7. Everyone who is in favor of baby-killing, should listen to a woman, now 89 and who was in a death camp when she was a small child.
    She is about to go to federal prison for trying to convince young expectant mothers to keep their babies. She has offered to adopt babies women were going to have murdered.
    Everyone should read about her court experience…she was not allowed to say why she was near the baby-killing clinic, not allowed to say she was trying to save lives and she expects to die in prison as she is sentenced to 11 years; and fined $350,000.

    This brave woman, imprisoned by tito when she was 9 years old and later came to the U.S. believing that it was a place where life is given value.
    Babies are gifts from God.

    • I will try to find it. I read an article about a 16 year old girl being forced to have an abortion that she didn’t want to have. It was family and close family members doing the pressuring.I believe it was planed parenthood workers that called the authorities because they had a feeling they were doing something wrong. Not just unlawful…but wrong. Cant remember the state. Cant find any reference to the case. What a surprise! It was complete with police/designated establishment group/ on the scene written reports.

      How many cases just like that are happening out there? We can never know. The victim is unlikely to talk. If abortion has the possibility of causing both mental and or physical trauma how much trauma does a forced abortion have the potential to cause?

  8. I really don’t understand. Abortion is purposely destroying a fetus no matter what time during the gestation period.
    We’re just splitting hairs here.
    Either you’re pregnant or not. You’re either for abortion or you’re not.
    I have a friend who was date-raped. She kept the baby, and she has never regretted it. Rape is evil, but she thought so is abortion.
    With over 81,000,000 Americans who have considered adoption, there are plenty of alternatives to abortion.

    • I know more than one young lady, in their teens, who were victims of rape, but kept the baby.
      Blaming the baby is never right.

      However, most of the women who go to have the baby destroyed, were not raped. And many adult women are repeat offenders. they want the ‘fun’ but don’t want responsibility for their choices. A baby would tie them down and hinder more “fun.”

      Killing the unborn is evil, just as is the murder of anyone innocent.

  10. Maybe there are a lot of parents, sorry mothers who seeing their children rooting for Hamas (which murders children) at universities across USA are thinking they should have had abortions!
    The legislation I am sure is largely driven by men and extremely religious women, so it is interfering with their rights to choose and decide about their own body The males of the world after having their few minutes of pleasure can walk away free and never be heard of again. While the woman is faced with life changes to her body which are sometimes life threatening. I am sure the majority of women do abort do not do it lightly and for all sorts of reasons. The body often aborts itself by miscarriage. I read of one woman in US who
    had a misscarriage and was arrested by police!
