“To reach out to the Muslim world… to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math, and engineering.”
There’s the Right Stuff and the Woke Stuff. NASA no longer has the right stuff, so all it’s got is the DEI stuff.
In July 2010, NASA chief Charles Bolden, an Obama appointee, told Al Jazeera that his boss had given him three priorities… none of them involving space exploration. The foremost priority for the agency once tasked with sending a man to the moon was “to reach out to the Muslim world… to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math, and engineering.”
How many of you remember Obama’s “Muslim List”?
The Muslim list included two alternative candidates for NASA administrator. One of them, Dr. Charles Elachi of JPL was dismissed as “possibly Christian.” Indeed Elachi, who grew up admiring John Wayne and believes that American success is possible because it isn’t “held back by the long-standing, ingrained systems and beliefs found in the Middle East” would have been a rather poor fit.
The other name on the list however is Firouz Naderi, an Iranian board member of the Public Affairs Alliance of Iranian Americans which advocated in support of the Iran nuke sellout.
While Trump threw out some of this stuff, under Biden NASA is fully woke and is boldly going where no one has gone before or ever wanted to go before.
Victor Glover, the black mission pilot, who had been working on Senator John McCain’s staff when he was selected as a NASA astronaut candidate, is preparing for his mission by listening to Gil Scott-Heron’s racist rant ‘Whitey on the Moon’ “twice a week on the way to work.”
NASA has a team that will update everything for the lunatic’s “current genders, names and pronouns” (which may or may not change on a biweekly basis) and then deploy a “workplace gender transition plan” that is only a little less complicated than the original moon landings.
“When I first came out, I did not come out as nonbinary at work. I wasn’t sure that people would accept that, so I came out as transmasculine and am only recently being completely authentic about it, like, ‘Actually, I’m nonbinary, and my pronouns are they/them,’” Mars “research scientist” Silas J. Ralston explains in a special NASA feature.
Now the four-person crew for the “virtual” mission to Mars has been unveiled and they carefully screened out white non-Muslim males.
There is a Muslim crew member, though.
NASA has selected a new crew of four volunteers to participate in a simulated mission to Mars within a habitat at the agency’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.
Jason Lee, Stephanie Navarro, Shareef Al Romaithi, and Piyumi Wijesekara will step into the agency’s Human Exploration Research Analog, or HERA, on Friday, May 10. Once inside, the team will live and work like astronauts for 45 days.
Or woke cosmonauts anyway. During this time they’ll accuse each other of hate speech and microaggression.
But who actually needs to go to Mars when we can explore new dimensions of diversity right here?
Gillian Miller says
Muslim’s scientific, maths and engineering history indicate that they were really good at claiming other peoples’ discoveries as their own. Despite the large number of Muslims from many different backgrounds, they have only managed one Nobel prize in science.

I counted seven Muslim Nobel Prizes–but many of these were in the much softer categories of literature and the often frankly perverse area of “peace”. Of the science prizes, all of these were untypical Muslims–either virtual athiests, or in one case a minority Ahmadi.
This last was Pakistan’s Dr. Abdus Salam–the epitaph on his tomb initially read “First Muslim Nobel Laureate”. The Pakistani government removed “Muslim” and left only his name on the headstone. Pakistan officially declare that Ahmadis are non-Muslim.
That pretty much says it all…
Phil Copson says
I can’t really take seriously an organisation that failed to award the Physics Prize to the Wright Brothers for the discovery of controlled flight.
Or awarded a “Peace Prize” to Obama while denying it to Donald Trump.
Still – NASA sounds like just the place to appeal to cross-dressing, clothes-thieving, puppy-playing, trans-tarting, ex-nuclear waste disposal exec Sam Brinton: He’s eminently qualified to “baldly-go” where no one has ever baldly gone before…

Obama did enormous harm not only to America but to reason. And anyone seriously using terms like “non-binary,” “cis-gender,” “gender-fluid,” et al. should never be taken seriously.
We live in the stupidest and most ridiculous age in human history. Loons have taken over—like the full throttle moral idiot who is the new CEO at NPR.

This will sound undemocratic but I always thought there should be some sort of literacy-competency test in order to vote. That wouldn’t stop the smart-stupid people from voting but it would improve the quality of the elected.

Remember the OceanGate submersible that imploded? That DIE company didn’t want white guys on their projects either. The OceanGate submersible implosion is a microcosm of the future of DIE America. Down the road there will be a lot of content and opportunity for shows like “What Went Wrong; Countdown to Catastrophe”. People are saying DEI stands for “didn’t earn it” but in the case of OceanGate, yeah, they earned it. Hell, they planned it.
Bonhoeffer was right when he said “the proliferation of stupid people in society posed the greatest threat to democracy and freedom” (and your very life). Stephen Hawking agrees. What we are seeing is collective stupidity which is stupidity on steroids.

Only in the “windmills of their demented minds.”
If any of these creatures….those choosing or being chosen….were stranded on a desert island, they would make the Castaways look incredibly intelligent, wonderfully adaptive and the best anyone could ask for neighbors.
The crew of the SS Minnow, and the guests, muffed every opportunity to escape the island and return home. But they were Newtons, Whitneys, Edisons, Einsteins , Marconis and Galileos compared to what’s happening today.
Dr. Hugh Ross, the astrophysicist, has some ideas about exploration of the moon, the planets and what he hopes will be. This isn’t anything like what he told Glenn Beck.

thanks, tgusa. I enjoyed the look. The old guy with the buckets of sand had a stupid idea and the people who looked and applauded have no taste…or spine.

Welcome somehistory. The museum of UN-natural history probably bought his sand art for 10 million. The banana with the duct tape was only worth half that.

somehistory,
I’m a little embarrassed to admit it but:
When I was around 10 years old, I had a secret crush on Gilligan’s Island Mary Ann.

Ah, James, no reason to be embarrassed. She was cute; even as a fellow girl, I could tell that. Better looking than Ginger, in my way of seeing. and they gave her a sweet personality.
Kosh's Shadow says
I note there was an article recently in Fox News about a nova we could see soon. The NASA person pointed out the star is 3000 Light Years away, so the actual nova occurred 3000 years ago “When King David had his kingdom in Palestine”
Science was correct, but not the history. I don’t have to tell anyone here the name “Palestine” is less than 2000 years old, and invented by the Romans to erase the connection of Jews to the Land of Israel.
James Lincoln says
Kosh’s Shadow,
Think of this:
If our own sun suddenly stopped shining, at about 93 million miles away, we wouldn’t know it for about 8 minutes and 20 seconds.

Indeed so–why concern yourself with space travel or similar endeavors, or conveying a love of same to the public or through the schools, when you can instead pander to those who want to destroy the culture that makes such acheivements possible?

He actually sounds like an asset to NASA and the US–but he sure doesn’t sound very Islamic. He must either be a very poor Muslim, or he must be one of those ‘sneaky’ Christians–in any case, he had to be dismissed.
This in itself sums up much of what is wrong with the West today.
James Lincoln says
Just think where the United States would be in space technology if NASA had continued – and constantly modernized – the Apollo program.
Instead, China may beat us back to the moon – and replace the US flag with one of their own.

Peter Laitres says
Sickening, but the fact is NASA is a sham. Just a CIA and deep state military and money-laundering operation. They faked the Apollo moon missions and the fact is that no manned “space flight” has ever levt low earth orbit. In fact, no manned craft has ever gone more than 400 miles from earth (the moon is approximately 238,000 miles from earth).
The maximum distance the International Space (sic) Station has ever been from earth is a whopping 244 miles.
NASA now says it is because of radiation, namely the Van Allen Radiation Belts discovered in the late 1950s. That is true, but isn’t it quite odd that paper thin Apollo crafts could go through them 8 times in 1968-1972? And we haven’t left low earth orbit since?
And Nazi Werner Von Braun said in the early sixties that the only was to get to the moon would be with a refueling station, which is exactly what NASA and Elon Much now say?
The fact is that NASA never made it to the moon, and no one can leave low earth orbit as the radiation and propulsion/fuel problems are massive for a manned flight.
There is so much more proof, I encourage you to check it. http://www.sibrel.com

I believe you, but many people, even here where Truth has made it, say that anyone denying the moon-landing is a nut case; or worse.
Rod Serling made it ‘look real’ and the “astronauts” had only landed back on earth in one sad and memorable episode.
Peter Laitres says
You’re correct! That was a great episode of the Twilight Zone and prescient.
However, the NASA lying has deep roots to the CIA and its taking over of the government in the 1960. Ike warned us. NASA gets around $60 million PER DAY for what?
I challenge anyone to look at the evidence, seeking truth, and to evaluate the Apollo program. There are no whole earth pictures. One from 1971 that is a fake, then in 2015 the headlines said, “first whole earth picture in 44 years.” One would think that there would be hundreds of pictures of the earth from these missions. But there aren’t.
The CIA, NASA, Werner von Braun, Disney, the whole bunch did a saturation psyops from the late 50s and on brainwashing that space travel was real and aliens and the like existed. The fact is there are no space aliens, and we’ll never leave more than 400 miles from the surface of the earth. It is nutty to think otherwise.
somehistory says
I have never believed it. It was just too fantastic for me to accept.
I once believed some things the government said, but when they admitted lying about the spy plane over Russia, everything I heard afterward, was suspect.
It’s rather like kids being told to avoid a nuclear blast by hiding under their wooden desks with their hands over their heads.
