I can’t imagine why.
Prime Minister Netanyahu has announced that Israel intends to go into the final Hamas stronghold in Rafah.
Israel has set a date for the military offensive against the remaining Hamas terror battalions in Gaza’s southernmost city of Rafah, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Monday night.
“It will happen; there is a date,” revealed Netanyahu, adding that he had received a “detailed report” on the high-level hostages-for-ceasefire negotiations that ended in Cairo earlier on Monday.
Matthew Miller, the US State Department spokesman, told reporters on Thursday, “To my knowledge, we have not been briefed on that date.”
I can’t imagine why.
The Biden administration, as the Obama administration before it, may be ready to begin actively sabotaging Israeli ops by leaking intelligence. And even if it isn’t, there are enough enemy operatives in there to make spying unnecessary.
Consider the presence of two Pentagon chiefs of staff with ties to Islamic enemy terror states or terrorist supporters.
In its campaign against Hamas, the IDF has combined decisive strength with mobility and flexibility. It’s a campaign that has impressed retired military professionals even as it has enraged leftists and Islamists. It has been at times confusing because the Israelis have prioritized mobility over holding positions and becoming sitting ducks.
The element of surprise was crucial initially and then was undermined by the need for endless warnings and coordination with Washington D.C.
So far Israel’s biggest achievement in the war came when it took Al-Shifa Hospital by surprise after previously following the Biden administration’s blueprint for multiple warnings and careful humanitarian efforts only to have the terrorists escape.
The Biden administration has publicly turned on Israel and is completely opposed to a Rafah operation. That means the only way it can succeed is, like the Israeli raid on Saddam’s reactor or Entebbe or Al-Shifa, as a surprise.
And maybe it’ll be a surprise for Joe Biden too.
mike says
why would Israel do so. Biden will run to Iran and inform them of the plan
abu taleb says
Biden had done so when he was informing the Houthi terrorists before the attack so that the Houthi terrorists was able to move the target to other places.
It is a treason.

That mental idiot biden and his cronies should be indicted now for high treason.
How dare they to dictate what Israel does? Israel will win and hopefully all these muslim nazis should be in Gitmo .
Mr president Donald Trump must be President as soon as possible so.

I read earlier that Israel had set a date. I just read the headline and hoped they would keep mum on what day and time.
Telling biden, or anyone in the state department, or any other government entity, would be like telling some high ranking member of hamas, or some ghoul in the iran regime.
We do recall bo giving Israel’s enemies information with which the U.S. was trusted.
bo couldn’t even keep the names of American’s from the enemy…blabbing about Seal Team Six.
There have been many movies and television programs where some guy or woman in a position to know about LE’s operations to take down the mob, or to prevent a kidnapping, etc. gave the tipoff to the bad guys.
Israel needs to keep their operations away from the biden regime and those close to it. Let it be a “surprise, surprise’….no cakes necessary.

Yes. I hope and pray that the Israelis can keep their next move totally secret. They HAVE to surprise the enemy. Move fast, hard, and .. don’t tell the enemy where you’re going next.
Did the Allies tell everybody when and where and how hard they were going to strike on D-Day?

When one of my brothers was in the Navy, he got his orders and told my mom he couldn’t tell us where he was going, how long he would be gone nor anything else. I’m not sure he knew when they first set out on that long ocean trip. Later, we heard, but it was much later and there was no one for us to tell had we known earlier. Loose lips and all that.

Gee whiz, Wally, I wonder why?

At this point Israel should do its own thing. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain by taking a decisive approach. The only thing terrorists respect is might. All these negotiations are counter productive. I know the families are distraught, but the best possible approach to getting all of the captives out is to strike hard. I am an American and I feel this administration is no friend to Israel. Israel cannot afford to play games with these talking heads who have no understanding of the region; to wit the placstion of Iran and the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan

Israel should tell him October ?
It’ll be fun to see the meltdown at the State Department
James Lincoln says
Israel should tell the Biden regime that the the date for the military offensive against Hamas in Gaza’s Rafah will be known AFTER the invasion.
Kosh's Shadow says
I think Israel should give the US a date and a plan.
Then execute a different plan earlier, while Hamas is moving to foil the leaked plan.

Like the third little pig, telling the wolf a different time he would be out and about, getting back home before the wolf had even started out after him.

Yes, as all the comments indicate, it’s so obvious the reason why Biden wants to know – simply to alert the UN and Hamas. Nice to see some someone like Netanyahu make a stance and stick to it. Hamas need pulling out of the ground, roots and all, one by one if necessary. They are the vilest of creatures. Biden wishes to cozy up to all parties concerned whilst walking away untarnished if he let’s the world know of Israel’s plan. There will be unwanted deaths of course. Is the price that must be paid to get these Hamas scumbags? It really is a dilemma.
It’s revolting and sickening how everyone is cozying up to Islam, when history has show so many times the nature of that inhuman life-destroying cult. I know I’m a little naive, but I just can’t understand how there appears to be little pressure on Hamas to release the hostages, as pressure on Israel has achieved nothing because of Netanyahu’s welcome, strong, and so far, unbending resolve. Biden is an all round pacifier whose methods may bring a kind of ‘pseudo – peace’ in the short term,(something all the idiots will praise) which will bolster his standing on the world stage (how Islamists must be laughing at him) whilst overlooking the devastating repeating the history of bloodshed and subjugation in the long term. But then again, because of the deaths Israel’s trip into Rafah will cause, it is really quite a quandary. I’m others can paint a clearer picture of all this, and the consequences, than I can.

With friends like Biden’s United States of America who needs enemies?
Chief Mac says
Why does the US need to know?
Phredd says
This one’s easy.
Tell Biden invasion set for 7 May.
Roll tanks on 20 April.
Taffy says
Puréed, who told you what the plan was? Now Israel will need a new plan!
OLD GUY says
If I were running Israel’s IDF I would NOT announce anything or give any indication of my future operations against Hamas. Why let Hamas stay a step ahead by giving them a warning? mKick their ass ISRAEL, if I were younger I’d come join your fight against these terrorist.
Ben says
It’s funny that the US wants to lecture Israel on how they should wage war while the US lost its wars in vietnam, iraq and afghanistan.
Eric says
Joe, why would they let you know that information?
