Israel, as we all know, keeps thousands of Palestinians in its prisons for doing nothing more than “resisting” the “genocide” being carried out by the IDF. True, the Hamas attacks on Israeli men, women, and children on October 7 weren’t pretty, but consider the larger context. Those attacks have to be understood as a response to “75 years of occupation, oppression, and humiliation.” How do those prisoners fare? Apparently, not at all badly, to judge from several recent news items that you can find here: “Palestinian terrorist to receive cosmetic surgery in Israeli hospital,” Jewish News Syndicate, February 29, 2024:
A Palestinian terrorist who was shot after ramming his vehicle into security personnel is scheduled to undergo cosmetic surgery in an Israeli hospital later this year.
Azmi Nafa is serving a 20-year sentence over the Nov. 24, 2015, terrorist attack at the Tapuach Junction in Samaria, in which four Israel Defense Forces soldiers were lightly wounded.
IDF troops neutralized the terrorist on site, shooting him in the head before taking him into custody.
Nafa, who is incarcerated at the maximum-security Gilboa Prison in northern Israel, is now scheduled to undergo cosmetic surgery at Afula’s Emek Medical Center in December, according to Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) sources cited by Channel 14 on Thursday….
Since Hamas’s Oct. 7 massacre, security prisoners have been barred from receiving non-life-saving treatments. According to the Prison Service, the surgery that Nafa is scheduled to undergo later this year is “not cosmetic,” but not life-saving either.
Nafa tried to murder IDF soldiers standing at the checkpoint at Tapuach Junction, by ramming his car into a group of them. Four of soldiers were wounded, one severely. Nafa was also wounded, not killed, by a shot to the head. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison. And now he wants, and has been tentatively granted, surgery to improve his appearance. This will be a variant on purely “cosmetic surgery,” but the Prison Service refuses to call it that, lest there be an outcry at granting such a request to a convicted murderer who, furthermore, recently took part in a prison break. It’s a bit more than cosmetic surgery because his disfigurement — the scars from the wound to his head — have made him so unattractive that it has caused him great mental distress. He believes that anguish would disappear if he could have surgery to improve his appearance. And it looks like the Israeli Prison Service has granted him his request.
During his nine-year detention, Nafa previously graduated with a degree in social work from the Al-Quds Open University. In addition, in 2019, his parents were honored by the Palestinian Authority’s Prisoners Affairs Commission, according to Palestinian Media Watch….
Even in the maximum-security prison of Gilboa, prisoners such as Nafa can take college courses and receive degrees. Nafa has now received a degree in social work from Al-Quds University which will allow him to be gainfully employed when he is released from prison in eleven years. How many countries allow those convicted for taking part in an attempted murder, and who are in maximum-security prisons, to enroll in college courses and obtain degrees while they are in prison? And will Nafa now go on to obtain his doctorate? Do you doubt it? Oh, what a terrible life those Palestinian prisoners lead.
In August 2023, a Palestinian terrorist convicted of kidnapping and killing an Israeli teenager petitioned a judge after the Israel Prison Service denied him the “right” to play video games. Iham Kamamji is a Palestinian Islamic Jihad member serving two life sentences for his role in the 2006 murder of 18-year-old Eliyahu Asheri, said the prison administration had previously allowed him to have a Sony PlayStation 2 in his cell.
Kamamji was one of the six Palestinian terrorists who in September 2021 broke out of Gilboa Prison. Following their recapture, Kamamji was moved to the isolation wing of Ashkelon’s Shikma Prison.
In the petition, the terrorist complained about alleged “discrimination and harassment” at the hands of the Prison Service in the wake of his attempted escape. “I do not commit crimes and respect the law and the administration,” Kamamji claimed.
Just think. Iham Kamamji was convicted of taking part in the murder of an 18-year-old Israeli boy. But prison was not bad at all for this killer serving two life terms. Three squares a day, his own cell, books for study and pleasure. He was not only taking college courses and getting a degree, but was allowed to have a Sony PlayStation 2 on which he could play video games to his heart’s content. But then he escaped from Gilboa Prison, and when he was captured, he was moved to the “isolation wing” of another maximum-security facility, Shikma Prison in Ashkelon.
Now Kamamji is upset. How cruel of the Israeli Prison Service to have taken away his Sony PlayStation 2, when he derived hours of such innocent pleasure from playing with it.
His petition to be allowed to have his PlayStation returned to him was preposterous. He alleges that he is the victim of “discrimination and harassment.” Really? It sounds as though he’s had quite an easy time of it, considering his crime. Has he forgotten that he took part in a prison escape, and that is the sole reason for his being moved to an “isolation wing” of a different prison? There has been no special “discrimination and harassment” of Kamamji. Any prisoner who takes part in a prison break can expect, upon recapture, to be transferred to the isolation wing of a higher-security prison; after all, they have just shown themselves to be “escape risks.” And since when did possession of a Sony PlayStation 2 become a basic “human right”?
Do you now see the Israeli treatment of prisoners in a different, much more favorable light? Here is one prisoner, Azi Nafa, who is serving a 20-year sentence for ramming his car into a crowd of IDF soldiers at a checkpoint, who will be granted his request for elective surgery to improve his appearance. It will be performed by Israeli doctors, and paid for by Israeli taxpayers. And here is another, prisoner, Iham Kamamji, who was convicted of having taken part in the murder of an Israeli teen, but was allowed while incarcerated to take courses on the Internet and to receive, a college degree. And now he is petitioning for “the right” to have back his Sony PlayStation2, so he can play to his heart’s content in his new cell. Do the demands of both Azi Nafa, for cosmetic surgery, and of Iham Kamamji, to have his Sony PlayStation 2 returned to him, bespeak harsh treatment of prisoners incarcerated by a “colonial-settler apartheid genocidal” regime, or something quite different — a Scandinavian-style prison regime, as soft-hearted and mild and accommodating as they come?

And let’s face it, if more than 70% of people support Israel, draining this filthy, yea criminal (because antisemitic) swamp, constantly and knowlingly inciting to genocide (‘from the river to the sea, Palestine will be/should be free’), should get the highest priority from our criminal system. Because let’s face it: if 30% of the populace is against prosecuting someone for murder (in this case ‘incitement to genocide’) that doesn’t justify not prosecuting this person.

The actual, real, intention of Hamas is the genocide of the Jewish people that’s the goal of Hamas and not those in power in the State of Israel regarding the “Palestine” people.
About innocent those children who died in Gaza because the jihadists Hamas hiding among places with children.
