UK Politician Makes a Dark Observation About Her Country Today (and Ours in the Future)

Former UK Home Secretary Suella Braverman sounded an ominous warning on Friday: “The Islamists, the extremists and the anti-Semites are in charge now.” This was politicians’ hyperbole, and couldn’t possibly be true, could it? Unfortunately, every day brings new confirmation of the fact that truer words have seldom been spoken.

Braverman made her chilling statement after events on Wednesday in London, when members of the British Parliament debated motions calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. A vote for a ceasefire is really a vote for Hamas, for if Israel stopped fighting, Hamas would escape annihilation and survive to murder more Israeli civilians on another day. As the debates went on, pro-Hamas protesters projected the phrase “From the River to the Sea,” which is a veiled call for the total destruction of Israel, something that would almost certainly involve a new genocide of the Jews, onto Big Ben. This was widely seen as a veiled threat to the members of parliament, and with very good reason.

Konstantin Kisin noted in The Free Press on Friday that the parliamentarians certainly felt threatened. Their fears led to a change in the established rules of the Parliament, so that members of the leftist Labour party could escape having to vote for an anti-Israel measure that even many of them thought was too extreme, or voting against it and risking the wrath of the Muslim protesters outside the parliament building.

Nor was this the first time that members of the British parliament have faced threats from Muslims who were inclined to violence. It was only a few weeks ago, Kisin points out, that Conservative MP Mike Freer, “who represents a constituency with a significant Jewish population, announced that he would not be seeking reelection because of threats to him and his family over his support for Israel.” On Oct. 15, 2021, “another Conservative MP, Sir David Amess, was stabbed to death by an Islamist at such a meeting. In 2017, an Islamist terrorist mowed down pedestrians before stabbing an unarmed police officer to death outside the gates of Parliament.”

In light of all this, Braverman’s statement Friday made perfect sense. Beyond parliament there is a great deal more evidence that “the Islamists, the extremists and the anti-Semites are in charge now” in Britain. In London in December, a policeman ordered pro-Israel protesters to take down an Israeli flag after repeatedly allowing multiple Palestinian flags to be flown. In early February, Rabbi Zecharia Deutsch, wife Nava and their two children were forced into hiding after they received numerous death threats, including a phone call from someone who said: “Us Muslims are coming for you, you dirty Zionist motherf***er.” Pro-Palestinian protesters have become so brazen that they flew ISIS flags at a mid-February demonstration in London.

  1. It’s quite chilling to see how quickly the UK has descended into this cesspit. These issues now dominate British politics, while the country spirals into decay and ruin. We were warned! Now we face decades of endless jihad.

    • 100% correct! We need to go back and rewrite our own laws and rules for anyone living in our Christian homeland! It has seriously gotten out of hand now. We don’t have other cultures forces their needs or wanting to change our culture or disrespect our once beautiful country!!! Time for a massive change

      • Lisa–with all respect–I don’t think that we should change our civilized laws for Muslims. We should just *enforce them*.

        In the story above, Parliament is already changing its rules due to Muslim threats.

  2. So Parliament feels threaten ,what about the Jews in England ,what about non-Moslem Christians ,Hindus ,and atheist? Does supporting terrorist who are threating threaten citizens who do not get the police protection that the members of Parliament get in England make the regular citizen more safe? Does caving to sharia and appeasement satisfy “the best of people” according to Moslems about Moslems ? Many of these members of Parliament had fathers, grand fathers ,great grand fathers who stood up to Hitler .The current crop in Parliament would have England speaking German and England being part of the German empire if they where in charge in 1940..

  6. I would say that Braverman sees things clearly and seems to be trying to wake the UK’s population up before it becomes too late. Letting Muslims into all our western countries is going to turn out to be the single dumbest, most dangerous policy ever. How wise the Hungarians, the Poles, the Czechs and the Slovakians look for being so wide awake to islam’s nature that they said, nope, no way are we going to be so gullible, so dumb that we are going to allow the Muslim enemy of civilisation invade our countries. It is way past time that all our western countries woke up and stopped the destructive policy of letting the Muslim enemies in.

    • And why, tim gallaher, even though I have been to Britain (all of it—England, Scotland and Wales) I no longer want to go there. Too sad to see what has happened to a once truly great nation (greater at its best, easily so, than any polity the Islamic world has ever created).

      I am filled with remorse—and anger. Everyone of sense and knowledge should be.

      • It is very sad, Wellington, to see all of our western countries on the slide these days. There seems to be a loss of will power, lots of self loathing ( young people being taught by teachers at schools and universities to see their countries are evil and taught to hate the country – plenty of that here in Australia) so there is big trouble up ahead. This letting Muslims into our countries, mainly done because of such a massive ignorance by so many people, including most politicians of the evil content of islam, is incredibly self-destructive. I also have to say that I look at the USA and see that demented piece of crap , Biden, filling the position of President,and running again, and am very troubled. I have no interest in going to the UK again, went there way back in 1982. The UK sounds as if it is in massive trouble. Australia is on the slide as well. It is annoying to watch, especially this failure of people to wake up when it comes to islam. I can’t believe how dumb a lot of people are.

          As for Biden, he is an utterly despicable, massively incompetent, horribly corrupt and immensely selfish man. He is in microcosm exactly what Founding Fathers of America like James Madison and Alexander Hamilton were most concerned about if the American Republic were to be preserved—and as both of these men expressed in The Federalist Papers.

          I am sickened by what has happened to the West in the last half century or so. It is on course with a suicide mission and a very stupid and unnecessary one at that.

        • Without a doubt, things, at present, are not heading in the right direction, Wellington. Hopefully, somehow, some strength, self-belief and willpower will emerge again for our western countries. I can’t see it happening, but i hope i am wrong. Here in Australia, the Muslims are only around 2% or so, but those recent violent demonstrations by the foaming at the mouth Muslims against the Jews, along with the trendy left wing wanker brigade supporting the Muslims, seem to terrify our police. They stand off and do nothing about the violent, raving mobs. As for Biden, what a terrible situation to see this demented, totally incompetent scumbag in such an important position. Talk about a symbol of a country that is in trouble. The idea of that dementia sufferer running again leaves me astonished. All the best to you and your wife. Definitely troubling times but we battle on.

  9. Yes, there are double standards in the UK. It’s OK to call for Genocide of the Jews by projecting hate-filled slogans on Big Ben, but outrage erupted when banners displaying “White Lives Matter” were displayed a few years ago – one towed behind a light aircraft, and another on Scotland’s highest mountain Ben Nevis.
